Rainell Dolomites Retreat

5 night stay while hiking in the area. Excellent stay, great accommodation, plenty of facilities including indoor / outdoor pool, wellness room, sauna and gym. Breakfast & dinner exceptional variety & quality and all the staff from the front desk, restaurant, bar and housekeeping so polite, friendly & helpful. Close to all facilities in Ortisei even if the climb back up from town is steep and challenging. Plenty of parking space at the hotel. Would not hesitate to stay here again

Our family of three enjoyed a wonderful four night stay at the Rainell in early June. This small, family run hotel is comfortable yet elegant with many special touches and attention to detail. The food was exceptionally good, with varied and creative options (including vegetarian) and always featuring some authentic local favorites. Our server, Yvonne, was top notch in every way. Our ten year old daughter especially enjoyed the trampoline with incredible views of Ortisei, and the pool with new sauna and relaxation areas were a great place to unwind after exploring the area. Highly recommend this unique hotel.

We stayed 3 nights at this cute hotel, located near the center of Ortisei with half board. The location is great, since it’s very near to the cable car to the Alpi di Suisi. You can either walk into town, or park your car at the parking lot of the cable car and from there venture into town. The service was great! But the food was Michelin star quality!!! Every night we had a 4 course meal, and every dish was more amazing than the next!! We’re planning to go back there in the winter!! Amazing hotel!

We stayed in 2 rooms with 4 adults for 5 nights for a hiking holiday. Family Mahlknecht and team are just perfect. So kind and always willing to help. Thanks to Daniela (reception) we have been able to make to most beautiful hikes in the area (she's a very kind local expert!). And thanks to Yvonne, Willy, Patricia and Gaby, the breakfast/dinner/after dinner were a real pleasure, every day! The location is great (next to the cable car and in the city center), the hotel is very nice, the meals were excellent (compliments for the chef!) with great wines, the rooms are very nice and the wellness (swimming pool, sauna and garden) was super. Also the mountains and cities were very nice. A real recommendation for more visits!

We stayed for one week in September to hike the local area. The hotel is in an excellent location and has a commanding outlook over Ortisei with views across the valley to Seceda from the restaurant and outdoor pool. Its a short, but steep walk up from Ortisei to the hotel (or wait for the local bus!). We found the staff very helpful, particularly the hotel owner (Georg) and receptionist who provided detailed advice for transportation and places to visit during our stay. Hand sanitizing stations were placed at many locations around the hotel which we appreciated. Staff wore masks as required. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. A large buffet of hot and cold items were available for breakfast. Eggs (with ham/back/speck) were cooked to order. My wife's gluten-free diet was provided for during both meals. For the evening meal, our sever explained each course and whether or not it could be prepared in a gluten-free manner. We often returned from our hikes in the early afternoon and got to enjoy the outdoor pool (which was not busy at that time). Our only wish is that the Superior Room that we rented had a nicer view with more up-to-date bathroom fittings. It did not detract from the enjoyable stay, but the room was at the rear of the hotel close to the vents from the kitchen. We awoke to the smell of fresh cooked croissants in the morning so it had its positive attributes! We would visit again particularly in the winter to see how the new ski-out trail from Alpi Suisi down to Ortisei connects near the hotel. Recommended.

Ottimo albergo, trattamento eccellente e familiare. Cucina stellare. Posizione strategica, a due passi dagli impianti di risalita e dal centro di Ortisei. Servizi al top e pulizia veramente meritevole di nota conditi da un'accoglienza e cortesia uniche Lo consigliamo vivamente sia per brevi che per soggiorni più lunghi in val Gardena.

Soggiorno sulla neve molto piacevole , hotel molto carino, arredamento moderno e stanze ampie . Letto comodissimo , cucini e materasso super ! Comodo per la posizione centrale . Disponibile anche navetta . Una nota particolarmente piacevole è stata la cena. Ristorante molto elegante , cibo ottimo , menu con varie proposte sia x adulti che x bambini , qualità super . Abbiamo mangiato davvero bene! La colazione assortita molto buona con torte, brioche e proposte salate . Una sorpresa che nn si trova in tutti gli hotel è stata la merenda, disponibili al bar 2 torte a scelta ogni giorno, molto buone ! Spa molto bella , unica pecca forse l acqua nn molto calda x il periodo freddo.

Settimana bianca di fine Febbraio in famiglia. Da subito devo riconoscere che la posizione dell’hotel ha una vista molto bella su Ortisei. Le camere in stile, anche se ho dovuto pagare un’extra per avere una stanza per tre persone con adeguati spazi guardaroba(le immagini fornitemi alla prenotazione erano di un’altra camera!) Personale di servizio gentilissimo e professionale sia in sala ristorante che addetti al riordino delle camere. Ottimo chef e pasticcere: mangiare e’stato un vero piacere del palato. Quello che non ho trovato adeguato alle 4 stelle è stato: -4,4€ il costo di una bottiglia 0,75Lt di acqua “trattata” e servita a tavola lo ritengo assolutamente eccessivo; -servizio navetta interrotto dalle 10.30 con ripristino alle 15.30: per quanto mi riguarda unico hotel fra tutti quelli visitati a Ortisei ( e non sono pochi) con questo orario; -non fornisce pranzo: in caso di necessità andare in paese! -collegamento con funivia Alpe di Siusi: Scarponi ai piedi e sci in spalla si affronta una ripida discesa asfaltata, si attraversa la strada, si accede ad un tratto innevato (se nevica!) NON battuto per poi arrivare alla funivia. piuttosto disagevole, certamente non rispondente a quanto indicato nel sito web “accesso diretto alle piste” o “ ski in,ski out”; -sempre sul sito web la “nuova” pista Pilat non “parte proprio davanti all’albergo” semmai arriva a valle con la scomodità eventuale del percorso al contrario descritto al punto precedente. In sintesi un buon albergo ma con ampi margini di miglioramento nei servizi e nella comunicazione.
