Hotel Dolomiti Madonna

Lovely family-run hotel close to the centre of Ortisei. Good sized room with comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean. Great buffet breakfast and evening meal - good variety and choice. Small bar area where I had a number of enjoyable chats with one of the owners. All the staff were friendly and professional. Ski and boot storage in basement. 10 minute walk to the nearest lift. Ortisei is a more interesting town than a lot of the other resorts in the Dolomites - must explore a bit more next time!

First trip to Ortisei, and travelled as family group of 6. Hotel rooms bigger than we found in France, all with balcony, which was ideal for keeping drinks chilled. Location is literally 4 minute walk from the main square. Where this hotel scores so highly is in the personal service. One of our group is vegan, a concept not widely recognised in many places. Very quickly the team would check at breakfast how if the evening meal choices were suitable, and were open to suggestions. It appears all staff are either family, extended family, or long term staff. They could have not been more helpful, and helped us more than would be expected. The food reflected the local Tyrolean options and was extremely filling. Very grateful for the attentive service. Wish we were back there now. Grazie mille! Love Ortisei.

Heading east, slightly uphill from the bus-stop plaza you will see the sign for the hotel with the red begonias in flower baskets contrasting with the white of the hotel. This is a proud family run accommodation, staffing the reception and lounge. The front desk seemed always manned and helpful. You receive a pass upon arrival that lets you bus to the other towns up the road or the 350 back into Bolzano and the train station - a nice extra. We were on the 4th floor and loved our room (reached by stairs or lift) with its alcove and balcony. I loved my time in the corner alcove/inside turret with beautiful views in all directions., opening the windows to hear the bells. There were plenty of lamps and in our room, as throughout the hotel, lots of great art, particularly local watercolour scenes by the family's great uncle. The room didn't have a fridge, but my beer from the local market kept cold on the balcony. Wifi was a bit iffy as we were in a far corner reached through a couple sets of doors. I very much enjoyed my talks in the evening with one of the proprietors when i went down for a nightcap - I learnt a lot about many facets of the local region from him. There are many nearby restaurants and stores, most closing by 7pm. There is an upper walkway from town, by the escalators near the museum, that take you higher, and you can reach the hotel an alternate way than from the main street. This affords good views including that of the hotel...see attached photo. This is a venue where family pride serves dividends for the guests and the breakfasts were a great start to the day, also with pleasant and attentive staff.

I've been here with my girlfriend and we've stayed for a week. Waiters are nice and easygoing. The food is nice: they have a very important breakfast and you can choose what to eat for dinner by picking up dishes from the daily menu. The reception personnel is very professional. Here you can book hiking or other tourist activities: most of them are free of charge since the hotel has some kind of convention. The hotel provides you also a bus pass - so you can move around by bus without paying - and a pool pass which grants you the free od charge access to the public pool. The hotel is in front of a Despar store and not far from Ortisei downtown. They also have a private parking. I suggest you to book a room in advance and to ask for a room not at the second floor, as they are smaller than those in the other floors.

It was a pleasant stay in the hotel. The hotel was a short walk from the town centre, with many amenities nearby. The breakfasts were good and the owners were helpful. The rooms were clean and generally the hotel was well maintained. There was a lift for guests in higher floor.

Great hotel in the center of town. Great location. The staff were just wonderful and did everything to help. The rooms are large and spacious and it definitely better meets the definition of a 4 star hotel. Breakfast is rich and varied. Very tasty. We ate 3 dinners at the hotel and it was wonderful. The ski lifts are close to the hotel. Highly recommend, worth every penny.

Lati negativi: - proprietaria scortese e arrogante, in più occasioni . Invece di trovare soluzioni, aveva sempre risposta scontrosa mei nostri confronti. Il cliente non avrà sempre ragione, ma il rispetto non deve mai mancare. - struttura rimasta agli anni 70. - bagni pessimi. Le camere con vasca e non tutti con l’asta per il doccino, ma soprattutto senza vetro, quindi l’acqua arrivava in tutto il bagno. - finestre con spifferi ovunque. Abbiamo dormito con lo scalda collo. - cuscini in gomma piuma scomodissimi - insonorizzazione inesistente tra le camere ma soprattutto con l’esterno; avendo il supermercato avanti, la sveglia è alle 6 con l’arrivo della fornitura. Lati positivi : - prezzo - posizione - cameriera Raluka ( sempre cordiale è disponibile) cura del cliente eccellente da parte sua. - il proprietario più giovane cortese.

Ortisei stupenda,e l'hotel un Posto fantastico, pulito e ordinato....cucina eccellente,personale eccellente,in posizione centrale, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo!nulla di cui lamentarsi ...Torniamo ! grazie di tutto 💗

Abbiamo appena trascorso una settimana in questo meraviglioso hotel. Molti pro pochi contro. Accoglienza e assistenza al top con una famiglia (molto cordiale) che ti fa sentire in famiglia, pulizia delle stanze e del resto dell’hotel più che eccellente. Qualità e bontà dei pasti buonissimi accompagnati dalla professionalità dei ragazzi in sala. Ormai Ortisei ci è entrata ne cuore e ritorneremo, forse anche in estate. Vista la posizione molto centrale alla via dei negozi ed all’impianto di risalita sia delle Alpi Siusi che Seceda. Noi ci siamo trovati molto bene e lo consiglio a tutti di provare e vedrete che non ve ne pentirete.
