The bathroom was a little small, but the host was so kind and comfortable that I was happy while staying at the accommodation! The facilities are clean and nice! I love the host!!
We got lost after alighting from the train station, but it was really the fault of Google maps as we must have had 3 of us with Google maps on with the walking function and we were each directed differently! Best to plot your course beforehand therefore, and save as a photo! Thankfully, Demir saw us wandering around and hailed us, turns out he’s the manager (owner?) of the house. It was spotlessly clean, all the duvets were fluffy and warm, many items felt new and in good working order eg heating / airconditioning and hot shower with no leak of pressure. The kitchenette was sufficient and equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, stove top, electric jug, and cutlery, crockery and pans. There was a toploading washing machine which we did not have to use. Friendly Demir is located in the hostel premises next door if we had needed anything else. (We should have asked him for a clothes rack as there were hangers but no where to hang.) Our accommodation is actually located upstairs a steep tho’ short flight of stairs and it was again kind Demir who hauled up our heavy luggage without even being asked! Downstairs is a quiet, simple soba restaurant that Demir offered a discount to eat in, though we didn’t take him up on that but did enjoy a pleasant and delicious meal there. There were 2 bedrooms which require you to walk through one to get to the other, but otherwise the traditional sliding doors do give some privacy. Only 1 toilet / WC and a separate shower room, but that’s pretty much normal for Japan apartment accommodation. There is a sight for sore eyes in the little, beautifully zen enclosed garden downstairs in this quaint house, which Demir proudly informed may be the last remaining inhouse garden in the vicinity. All in, we enjoyed our 4-night stay, and Demir deserves good marks for his hospitality. If there is space to attach photos, I’ll share them.
