Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Oss

Very nice and comfortable!! Highly recommend Fletcher to all travelers visiting Oss.

Below is an email I sent to the hotel itself, and to head office of the Fletcher Group. Not an apology, or even a reply. Guests at this hotel are treated like Euros. Put them in the till and forget who gave them, or that any service is required for those Euros. To Whom It May Concern, I wish to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent stay at the Fletcher Hotel in Oss, from Saturday, 25th November to Monday, 27th November. This marked my second visit to your hotel, as I previously stayed in November 2022. Our group of 40 adults and children from Northern Ireland came for a local Taekwondo competition, and while your rooms are commendable, the conduct of your staff during this visit was utterly disappointing. The discourteous behaviour began on Saturday night when I inquired about the closing time of the bar. Your staff assured me it would close at 11 pm. However, at 10 pm, as we were enjoying ourselves, one of our group approached the bar to order drinks, only to be abruptly told that the bar was closed. A few minutes later your night porter arrived telling us to drink up and leave. He done this in a very aggressive and rude manner. Some in our group were Dutch and they were able to translate what he said. They queried “Have we done something wrong?” He replied, waving his arms around telling us this wasn’t up for discussion. It left us all feeling confused and upset. It would have been more acceptable had he politely requested that we finish up due to closing time, but instead, he adopted a hostile attitude completely unbecoming of a hospitality establishment. The unpleasant encounters continued on Sunday night when we returned from the competition around 9 pm to find the restaurant and bar already closed. We opted to order pizza and have drinks delivered to the hotel. To our relief, your receptionist opened the restaurant so we could dine comfortably. However, once again, your Night Porter intervened, this time accusing me of treating the reception like a fast-food joint, and in a humiliating tone, asked if we thought we owned the place. A simple request to relocate to our rooms would have sufficed, but he chose a confrontational approach, leaving me standing outside the hotel in the rain to finish my beer. His behaviour escalated as he confronted parents and children in the restaurant, giving them an ultimatum to finish their meals and leave within 8 minutes. His discourteous manner left children frightened and parents deeply uncomfortable. Having travelled to numerous competitions across Holland over the past 7 years, I have never encountered such a lack of hospitality as I did at your hotel this weekend. Your staff appeared unhelpful, treating us as a burden rather than valued guests. With 40 guests, your hotel could have greatly benefited financially and would have more if the bar and restaurant had remained open. Regrettably, due to the limited hotel options in Oss, we may find ourselves compelled to stay at your establis

A great price for a nice modern room. Gym is great, breakfast has a wide choice of options and the staff are friendly and helpful. Stayed one night and will definitely stay again when back in Oss. A great choice for a value quality night. Would recommend

Stayed for one night on a business trip. The hotel is collocated with a football stadium/sports hall. Reception is located separately to the where the rooms are bit odd but no big deal. Room was large, modern and very comfortable. I went to bar with the intention of having dinner, food service seemed very chaotic with a large family group clearly frustrated having been waiting a while for their food to arrive. I think the kitchen was short staffed so gave dinner a miss. Undecided if I would stay again.

Stayed for four nights Lovely room with everything needed for our stay, good use of the space re “wardrobe” for hanging up clothes. Loved the shower and that there were two options. The walk in aspect was ideal for those with mobility issues. The breakfast options were fab especially the sugar bread and marzipan bread. Evening meals were also reasonable especially after a long journey. Overall the staff were lovely from the kitchen to the reception.

This hotel is a strange one. The only good use for it that I can see would be to serve those playing soccer on the fields right outside the hotel. Staff at reception made so many errors with our party's bookings that it was a comedy. Customer service was generally poor. They did not bring the ironing board they promised, and they wanted to charge us 20 Euros for a travel adapter (none available to borrow). The room looked directly out on the soccer field. The bed was comfortable enough, but the top mattresses move around as they are not secured to anything, and the bottom ones don't have any kind of bedding on them. The room got freezing cold after 1 am, even though we adjusted the thermostat. Then the heat came back on again in the morning. We smelled smoke in the hallways. At night we were woken up by loud noises from neighboring rooms and the hallway. The only redeeming quality of this hotel is they do offer a good breakfast. Over 100 Euros per night is WAY too expensive for this kind of hotel in this kind of location, if you ask me. Choose to stay elsewhere.

Vieze bekleding van de stoeltjes en gescheurde vitrage , geen ontvangst op tv ivm externe storing alle 3 dagen, Als vergoeding biedt Fletcher aan een welkomsdrankje bij ons volgend bezoek. Belachelijk aanbod. Wij zijn zeer ontevreden omdat men totaal geen moeite deden in het hotel om het probleem op te lossen. Marian

Hier 4 nachten verbleven. Eerst 3 nachten aan de voorkant op de 2e verdieping en later die week 1 nacht op de begane grond aan de straat. Ik vind de kamers mooi ingericht en prettig ingedeeld. Weer eens wat anders dan gemiddeld. Helaas erg gehorig. Zo kon ik op de 2e altijd de wekker en koffiemachine horen van de kamer naast mij en op de begane grond is het nog erger: Veel geluid van straat door de partij ramen en dichtgemaakte deuren die niet geluiddicht afsluiten. Het badkamer gedeelte heeft een prettige ruime douche, goede wastafel en tevens voldoende handdoeken. Het bed was voor mij oké maar hoorde van veel collega’s dat ze het te zacht vonden door de dunne topper. Ontbijt was echt prima! Van alle gemakken voorzien en voor ieder wat wils. Echter zijn ze niet heel vlot met het afruimen van tafels voor nieuwe gasten. Personeel aan de receptie was er veelal niet maar wel vriendelijk.
