Hôtels proches de Mount Kenashi Lookout, Otaru

Hotel facilities were dated but mostly well-maintained. After spending 2 nights in Sapporo's small hotel room, it was good to have more space to spread out. Outdoor hot spring was fantastic and the onsen is open till late night - giving guests enough time to enjoy it even after a full day out. If you've a rental car, the location poses no problem. There is a large, 24-hour market nearby and it's only a quick 15-min drive to Otaru. The staff were kind and provided ready assistance whenever we needed it. Only issue I had was noise from the room above us. For some reason, the guests were running around in the room and it was very noisy. Overall, it's a quaint, old-fashioned hotel with good ambience.

Good location and hotel is connected from Otaruchikko station. Nearby is Aeon and shopping mall. Many selection of food to choose.

We absolutely loved this ryokan experience! Stayed for 2d1n as a couple and absolutely loved the place! We booked the room with the private onsen and it was a lovely small space on the 2nd floor we could enjoy privately. The onsen is not too big, maybe 1.5 x 1.5 meters, but it was spacious for the two of us. We also found out that you can book a 45 minute slot for a separate private onsen for about ¥2200, which we may have done instead, had we known about it before booking. The japanese-style room was comfortable and had the usual amenities provided, alongside other nice additions like lotions and creams. The staff helped us to set up our futon (japanese-style bed) after dinner, and it was overall a very comfortable experience. The staff are super friendly and service was incredible. We got the dinner and breakfast package and the food was excellent. We had to choose both the dinner slot in advance, and it is first-come-first-serve. Dinner was served to us in the room over 1.5h and was a really amazing 12-course meal with instructions on the eating order. Breakfast was more standard, but still nice, we took it in the dining hall. The lounge is open till 10pm and we could take drinks and refreshment freely, including some small snacks and soft drinks. But they stop serving beer at 9pm. The onsens also have mini-fridges with free popsicles. There is also an outside area you can access from 3pm - 9pm that serves hot coffee and wine, with free marshmallows you can roast on the outside firepit. It was really nice. The garden is by far the nicest part of the hotel, it is really big and well decorated, with many nice places for photos and to enjoy a hot drink from the lounge. The space is quite large and might take about 20 minutes to fully explore. The only downside I can think of is that the location is quite hard to access. We chose to get to and from the ryokan by taxi, but there is also a shuttle bus service, from what I understand. When we arrived, the reception told us that there would be a shuttle bus leaving at 10:45 to Otaruchikko station. We still ended up requesting a taxi from the front desk though, which they were happy to help us book (I couldn't get any taxis by cab in the location). Overall a really amazing stay that we would absolutely recommend. The price tag might seem high for a ”3 star” hotel, but the ranking is deceptive, we absolutely had a 5 star experience. Staff is nice. Pillows & bed are ok. Location is ok (if driving) and there is a convenient store around The day we checked in is the day b4 my hubby's birthday, I requested to do some simple decorations or just a birthday message for him. Hotel rejected my request but finally they put a paper printed birthday message on table. Thank you. They have private car park which is not free and charged 1500 yen per car per night. However, they are very straight to ask you move out car at 11 am next day even not full many free space, not allow to stay. Quite pitiless. Hotel room looked nice but lighting is not enough for ladies to make up. Since no double bed room available, we requested hotel to put 2 beds together and hotel confirmed but finally did not arranged. We saw Youtuber advised breakfast is good but actually just soso, not a must to try.

C'était un hôtel très propre et magnifique. D'habitude, je n'aime pas les oreillers d'hôtel, mais les oreillers d'Authent étaient super. J'étais content que le grand bain public tombe sous la période de gratuité. Quand j'ai pris un bain après 17h00, il n'y avait personne et j'ai pu profiter du bain privé lentement ! De plus, la réceptionniste du bain public était très gentille. Le buffet du petit déjeuner était également très bon. Dernièrement, j'ai séjourné dans des hôtels où le pain n'est pas très bon, mais le pain d'Authent vient de la boulangerie du premier étage, et c'était vraiment délicieux. Surtout les scones sont délicieux et recommandés. Le potage, le canard fumé et le fromage à la crème étaient également riches et délicieux, et je les voulais comme collation avec du vin le soir. De plus, j'aimerais utiliser cet hôtel quand je viens à Otaru. Merci de m'aider.

The staff at the reception speaks fluent English, which is good. Sth dramatic happened after I checked in. Somehow my suitcase cannot be unlocked,though I knew the key number. So I had to call reception for help, luckily they do have the tool to open the suitcase, but I was told to wait because someone else were using it and I was supposed to be called after the reception got the tool. Waited whole night long, with no phone call, and had to check out the next morning with my broken suitcase. So if you find your suitcase cannot be opened, go find reception immediately or u might not get the chance to use the tool, haha

Will stay here again if I visit there, Recommended call a taxi to the hotel, street is slippery and take a while for a walk but worth to stay, th view and location is perfect for the carnal

I booked a dbl room during winter trip and didn't want to haul my luggage in the freezing snow. Very convenient and literally acrosss the street from otaru station. Room is a bit old and small but I don't mind. Bathroom is clean. Towel is clean. Pillow is a bit small. Onsen was great. Lobby served fresh grounded coffee all day and night. 1 min walk to Lawson for late night cravings.

Good hotel stay with plenty of extra amenities and storage to make your stay comfy. Smoking area for smoking guests stinks the whole lobby as you walk through reception to the lift, which is a shame. It is a non smoking hotel. Close to the sightseeing spots and about 10 mins walk to JR Station and supermarket.

Enjoyed the private onsen facing the ocean inside the room. It was so relaxing!!! The hotel restaurant served great French cuisine with great services. Friendly hotel staff helps my mom and my aunt ordered an in room massage services, and they were impressed with the skills of the therapists. On my next visit to Otaru, definitely would love to stay here again.
