IInvitéWe stayed over Christmas and it was lovely for the kids. They were welcomed with gift packs full of mini-games, not just the normal colouring papers and pencils. They also have a Christmas workshop set up way before Christmas. The room was very nicely decorated with ample of space for crafting and small table for some drinks. The only downside was that many things had been used up and not refilled as the workshop opened a few weeks before Christmas. They also served milk in the workshop room, but I had concerns that the milk was there from the morning for the whole day and that it was not kept chilled, which might not be good for the kids to consume. The receptionists were very friendly.

JJamieWe recently stayed at the Canberra Rex Hotel as a family of three, traveling from Sydney to celebrate the New Year. While there were some positive aspects, our overall experience was disappointing.
Starting with the positives, the reception staff were very nice and courteous, which we appreciated. We liked that it is very near a light rail station and quite close to parks, restaurants, and cafes.
The layout of the hotel posed challenges. Our room was quite far from the lifts, and with only two lifts positioned side by side in a corner of the building, accessibility was inconvenient. It seems the hotel design is to blame, as the lifts are not centrally located like in most hotels.
One of the biggest letdowns was the pool. We specifically chose this hotel for its pool, hoping our little one could enjoy it. Unfortunately, the pool heater was not working, and the water was freezing cold. To make matters worse, we noticed some bugs in the pool, which was unsettling. The staff wouldn’t have known the heater wasn’t working if we hadn’t informed them. It felt like the pool's maintenance and condition were overlooked, which was a major disappointment for us. Had we known that we won't be able to enjoy the pool, we would've settled in a hotel that is far more affordable.
As compensation for the pool issue, we requested and were granted a late check-out, which was a kind gesture from the hotel. However, it didn’t feel adequate given the inconvenience and disappointment we experienced.
Additionally, the King Suite we stayed in had some practical flaws. It only had one bin, which was insufficient for a family of three, as it filled up quickly. Another inconvenience was the shower area, which didn’t have any shelves. This meant we had to place shampoo and conditioner bottles on the floor while showering, which was far from ideal.
Overall, while the reception staff’s service was commendable, the hotel fell short in terms of facilities and maintenance. I hope the management takes these points into consideration for future guests.

IInvitéLe service était bon à cet hôtel. Beauté. La nourriture dans cet hôtel était exceptionnellement bonne. La salle de bains de l'hôtel était un peu vieille et la douche de marche dans la salle de bains avait une fuite qui a fait que la salle de bains était inondée quand on a pris une douche.

IInvitéKinda old worldish but not too bad.Biggest pain was the fire alarm which went off on a freezing winter morning about 7:30 am.. This by all accounts is a regular occurrence and not rectified; set off apparently by some guy smoking; 20 minutes of ******** announcements before we found out from another traveler that it was a false alarm.
Management kinda smiked sheepishlyand did bugger all.
Bathroom in our room was tiny and toiletries had to be collected from the front desk. 🙄
Had to lug suitcases up and downnstairs and at the front entrance. Kinda lame.
Guy working the dining room though on the breakfast shift was a bit of a diamond. After an ‘odd’ comment he myst have noticed I was unimpressed with the fire alarm ******** and went out of his way. A bottle of birthday bubbly was a classy touch by him. I’d stay there again because of him.

Overall very good value for money, good location. An adequate budget hotel if comfortable staying somewhere comfortable not wearing top of the range clothing with top of the range accessories.

LlonetloveMidnight Collection was in a central location where amenities is surrounded. You have pub, tram station and walking distance to civic center. The facilities is good enough to have a relax and enjoyable swimming pool and sauna room after a long day. Food wise is pretty tasty, while it may not be free flow in term of buffet style.

SSleepy TigerWe enjoyed our stay, The rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. You won't hear any noise from the airport which is surprisingly good 👍
The breakfast buffet is great with good quality coffee and food provided.
Only downside is that the shower head was worn out, and we couldn't get it changed to overhead mode ( the nob was broken).

IInvitéJ'ai réservé un appartement de deux chambres. La chambre est grande et spacieuse. La vue de la salle est vue sur la montagne, très belle. Une fois à l'intérieur du hall se trouve le bar, les lumières sont tamisées, la musique est délicieuse, la nourriture occidentale est là, l'hôtel est très grand, le bar n'est que quelques-uns, il y a aussi une salle de cinéma. Les décorations sont toutes en lamelles de bois, je ne les comprends pas, je ressens un art particulier. Les deux chambres n'ont pas de fenêtres et ne sont qu'une salle de bains. Il existe de nombreux ustensiles de cuisine et de nombreux articles de table. Le petit déjeuner est le genre de commande. Très proche du centre-ville, un hôtel calme. Plus de 2000 la nuit, la réception ne sera pas chinoise, c'est un hôtel pour étrangers. Canberra a une belle vue et est particulièrement adaptée à la vie.

IInvitéPas si propre. C'est OK. La télévision ne se connecte pas même si elle a une option. Le personnel quitte tôt et aucun téléphone pour appeler la réception. Je n'ai pas obtenu un mot de passe WiFi J'ai dû demander à la dame à côté parce que la réception a été fermée juste après avoir vérifié.
Ce n'est pas trop mauvais. Tout ce que j'avais besoin était un lit et une salle de bains, mais je ne peux pas dire qu'il était propre. C'était juste tête, au moins les feuilles étaient propres. Carpet était certainement pas. Dans la salle de bains, les aveugles sont fracturées.
