1) Location is superb. Right smack in the ancient city and 50m from the landmark guangji gate. You can walk everywhere to do your visits and taste street food & other gourmets . You can even get on a trishaw & do a slow sightseeing of the city among the interesting streets outside the non-traffic square 2) hotel is new about 6 months old. Clean and full amenities . The bed is comfortable and good. We are not familiar with the light switches so had trouble switching to dim lights at night 3) there’s a lift and a laundry area downstairs 4) service is perfect . Our room came with breakfast. Breakfast is simple and fresh and wholesome . Well in chaozhou you probably wanna skip to eat the yummy snacks on the street. We had breakfast for 2 days. On the last day we skipped. We slept in till breakfast time was over. We had bought a rice dumpling and a rice snack the day before. We requested for them to heat up. They went beyond our expectations. Not only heat up, but gave us fresh fruits all serve properly on a tray like room service. Thank you 5) we booked a one bedroom suite on level 2. Ceilings are high. Room is airy. Soundproofing is good. Once the windows are closed. There’s minimal noise from street outside. By night 10pm it’s quiet . Morning noises only start around 9am plus from tourists foot traffic 6) Tip- as traffic are not allowed on that street. The nearest point is to get off at the Xia shui men (下水门） gate and enter the gate. From there you walk about 100-150m on flat well-tiled surfaces to the hotel 7) hope the hotel maintains their cleanliness & newness moving forward . Will definitely stay there again when in chaozhou

You’re not roughing it; you’re staying in a heritage shell with climate-controlled, modern interiors. The Host Delivers: Within minutes of our arrival, we were served Fenghuang’s “Duck Dung Fragrance” dancong tea while the owner explained how to brew it properly and distinguish between Phoenix tea cultivars. That session came with a concise history of the ancient mansion’s architecture and spot-on recommendations for local delicacies and lesser-known sights. This isn’t performative hospitality—it’s practical knowledge sharing by a respected local expert. How to Make the Most of It: Embrace the tea culture. The in-room tea setup and host’s guidance transform a simple amenity into a genuine cultural immersion. Trust the gear. Run the dehumidifier and air purifier without hesitation—they’re there because they work. Ask about the alleyway. The owner can explain the unique access arrangement so you’re not confused on arrival. Bottom Line: For travelers who want to experience Chaozhou’s historic architecture without sacrificing comfort—and who value a host that educates rather than just accommodates—this is the rare property that earns a repeat visit.

L'environnement de l'auberge a dépassé les attentes. L'emplacement est dans la ruelle de la ville antique et il est très pratique de se rendre à pied aux attractions environnantes. L'auberge a été restaurée comme résidence d'un Shangqing sous la dynastie Ming. Elle est antique et conserve les murs extérieurs d'origine en briques bleues tout en conservant des éléments modernes ! Il y a eu une panne de courant inattendue pendant mon séjour. Le patron a été très prévenant en organisant les ventilateurs, l'eau potable, etc., et a prêté une attention particulière au temps d'alimentation électrique ! Le patron est très honnête et vous enverra un guide de voyage avant de vous enregistrer ! Il est fortement recommandé de visiter la ville antique !

La chambre est aussi grande que sur la photo, mais elle était poussiéreuse lors de notre séjour. Si la poussière vous dérange, il vaut peut-être mieux réserver cet endroit.

The room was clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There are several restaurants within walking distance, making dining very convenient. We highly recommend the crab porridge and oyster omelette at the restaurant located at No. 2 at the end of the road — they open from 5pm onwards . There are also two clean and hygienic ear-picking shops with monitors just around the corner, near the opposite junction. Overall, we had a great trip and truly enjoyed our stay.

Their friendliness, efficiency, and genuine hospitality really made me feel valued as a guest. They even help me to follow up with my taobao delivery of parcels. Well down for all staff. The hotel’s room & lobby cleanliness is well-maintained. My room felt fresh, tidy, and inviting, with thoughtful touches that showed the care and attention put into daily upkeep. The housekeeping team did an amazing job, and I truly appreciated their promptness and consistency throughout my stay. The location is also a major highlight – conveniently situated near key attractions located inside Chaozhou oldtown, dining options, yet peaceful enough for a restful night’s sleep. It made exploring the area effortless, and I could easily return to the hotel for a quick rest before heading out again. Take note this hotel is located inside the old town, may need to walk to main road for didi. The amenities exceeded my expectations. The facilities were modern, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed to cater to both leisure and big group of families. From the relaxing lounge areas to the private villa facilities with massage chair and in-room conveniences, everything was in place to make my stay both enjoyable and productive. Overall, my experience here was nothing short of excellent. It’s rare to find a place that delivers consistently on all fronts – cleanliness, service, location, and amenities – but this hotel truly does. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for their dedication and kindness. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to returning in the future.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful Stay in Chaozhou We had a fantastic stay at Crowne Plaza Chaozhou Riverside and honestly wished we could have stayed longer. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help. Check-in was smooth, questions were answered quickly, and throughout our stay the service remained warm and attentive without ever feeling forced. It’s the kind of hospitality that makes a hotel memorable. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and after long days exploring Chaozhou, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. We also appreciated the thoughtful details throughout the room, including complimentary soft drinks in the minibar, bottled water, bathrobes, quality tea and coffee facilities, and plenty of storage space. The river view was another highlight. Waking up and looking out over the Han River and the city skyline was a wonderful way to start the day. The room felt peaceful, quiet, and very comfortable. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent. Everything felt well maintained and cared for, from the guest room to the common areas. What impressed us most was how the staff consistently went above and beyond to make sure guests were comfortable. Great facilities are important, but outstanding service is what truly sets a hotel apart, and this team delivered exactly that. If you’re visiting Chaozhou and looking for a comfortable hotel with excellent service, beautiful river views, and a relaxing atmosphere, I would highly recommend Crowne Plaza Chaozhou Riverside. Je me suis demandé d'avoir une carte de chambre supplémentaire, et j'ai expliqué pourquoi. Je suis allé jouer avec mes enfants à la ville après-midi, M. est allé à la montagne, à différentes heures, la réception est très agréable de me donner une carte de chambre plus. Cependant, j'ai entrer dans la chambre environ 15 minutes. J'ai rapidement été consulté par le personnel de service pour demander une carte de retour. Je voudrais demander que l'hôtel n'est-il pas suffisant d'utiliser la carte de séjour? Enfin, mon père est rentré tôt à l'hôtel, attendant que nous entrerons dans la porte une heure, cette expérience est vraiment mauvaise.

La chambre est assez spacieuse et dispose de fenêtres sur les deux étages, assurant une bonne ventilation. Un projecteur est installé à l'étage. La salle de bain est bien ventilée et équipée de toilettes modernes, d'une douche séparée et de tous les équipements nécessaires. L'emplacement est idéal, à proximité immédiate du site touristique et des nombreux restaurants et cafés, pour un séjour divertissant entre amis à la découverte de la vieille ville de Chaozhou.
