IInvitéStayed here 09 nights in total, after multiple extensions. Room 207. 1. The hotel is located right smack in the middle of action. There was a street food next door, with McD, Pizza Hut and KFC all within 05 mins of walking. There was a mall with a Walmart hypermarket at the underground level nearby. It is convenient for those who stayed more than a few nights and needed to provision for work in Dalian. 2. There is a university nearby, plus a hill overlooking the Dalian city which you can conveniently walk/jog up to in the morning/evening. 3, The room is sufficiently well spaced, the bed and pillows are comfy, the lights are decently illuminant, the shower water pressure strong and the temperature hot when you need it ; the room is well decorated, there is enough work space on the table, there is a fridge ; the basin, the toilet bowl, and the shower room are independent of each other. In other words, a well thought out room layout. The lighting control is well calibrated, the central air conditioning is quiet, there is a special pop-out plug points on the table for laptops and phone charging. 4. The breakfast is good, a bit of every kind, mainly Chinese dish but some Western oriented salad style vege/fruits for those who need it. Milk is available (not something to be taken for granted in China as milk is not commonly available) 5. There is a free laundry room for use, the detergent and softener are provided free-of-charge ; iron and iron board is available as well. 6. The hotel service is tightly run by its Manager who ensure the staff are always tending as soon as possible to the customers. A special thanks to reception staff 孙晓辉 for patiently helping out with China-specific app for about 30 mins.

22026kingoftheworldI arrived in Dalian quite late in the evening and had arranged an airport shuttle through the hotel. However, I wasn’t given clear instructions on where to meet it. I noticed a bus waiting in the airport parking lot, but since the hotel’s shuttle buses lack any identifying markings and no one was holding a sign, I couldn’t tell if it was the one for me. Not speaking Chinese, I felt too hesitant to approach the driver to ask. Looking back, I’m fairly sure it was the shuttle I had booked, but it ended up leaving without me. Luckily, it wasn’t a big issue since the hotel is only about a five-minute walk from the airport. I had booked the shuttle based on a review mentioning that crossing the road in front of the hotel could be dangerous. However, I found there’s actually a crosswalk just a little further down the street, so crossing is manageable with some caution. Other than that, my experience was pleasant overall. The front desk staff spoke English fairly well. The room was large but a bit rough around the edges, with some noticeable stains on the walls. Breakfast was decent, and considering the price and the hotel’s proximity to the airport, it was good value. The hotel also schedules regular shuttle buses back to the airport, but there are plenty of taxis in the area if you need to leave immediately, or you can simply walk.
