IInvitéA wonderful place to stay in. The service was fantastic. The room was huge, much too large for just a solo traveler like me but it would have been perfect if I had brought my wife and child along. The onsen quality was great, albeit the fittings at the shower area were a bit old. The food was hands down amazing and featured great local produce. Honestly there was too much for one person to finish! What I especially liked was that they had a separate room on the first floor where if it was too early for you to check in, you could drop your luggage off, change, and then grab your gear and head to the slopes. Same thing if you intend to charge the slopes a bit more on your last day, just leave your stuff in the storage room, hit the slopes, come back and change out, hit the onsen for the last time, then go off. Definitely recommending this place to my friends visiting Zao.

YYeungL'hôtel traditionnel et chaud est plus ancien, l'attitude de service est excellente. Le personnel de l'hôtel est descendu pendant mon voyage. Le restaurant est généralement nouveau, la chambre n'est pas nouvelle mais l'espace est plein, vous pouvez voir une belle vue sur la fenêtre. La chaleur est très bonne, vous offrez également une soupe privée gratuite pour votre séjour une heure.

IInvitéEven though we called the hotel stating that we would be late for the check-in and dinner as there was heavy snow in the highway. The staff postponed it to 730. However, the snow was so heavy, we lost our way in town and we arrived at 8:10. The staff saying that we were too late and rejected to provide any food for us. we had to walk downhill to the town to find our own dinner. however, on the second night of our stay, we noticed that the other guests were having dinner at 9:10 when we passed by the restaurant. We know that we were late, but I believed that hotel is in the hospitality industry, the staff have to be considerate to the guests. as we were not meant to be late on purpose, just because of the bad weather outside, we couldn’t drive fast. We were in the highway 2 1/2 hours without any food and drink in the hope of arriving on time.

IInvitéLe voyage a été prévu quelques semaines avant, les options d'hébergement à Zao Onsen sont rares.
- Avant l'arrivée, j'ai appelé l'hôtel deux fois en utilisant trip.com mais personne ne répondit.
- Il n'y avait qu'un personnel de bureau frontal qui avait pris la parole pour la visite. Cependant, aucune action n'a été prise malgré l'attente longue de l'invité.
- J'ai demandé le service de bus de navette, mais le personnel de l'entrée a dit « Pas de bus de navette ».
- Le premier jour de nettoyage de la chambre, la dame de nettoyage n'a pas remplacé la tasse de porcelaine et la tasse japonaise utilisées. Pas de replenishment sur les sacs de thé et les toilettes. À ce point de prix de plus de USD500 par nuit, j'étais assez surpris.
- Il y a 2 places de piste, une en dehors de l'hôtel et une sur le 1F.
La chambre est spacieuse et propre, mais le service n'a pas répondu aux attentes.

IInvitéWhat a gem of a place! The special thing about this place is that there are 5 private outdoor onsens as well as a gender-segregated public bath and one mixed gender outdoor bath (for this one, you need to wear a bathing suit). If you are shy of exposing yourself or like taking photos, then those 5 private outdoor onsens are just perfect. I went in the autumn, which is cooling already and I can imagine what a treat it will be in winter with all the snow.
The hotel is located almost to the top of the hill. Either drive or call them ahead and they will pick you up and drop you off in the vicinity.
My room is quaint and Japanese-styled. I didn't pay for the meal package as I knew I'd would be busy trying out all the onsens available. They are all open 24hrs. By the way, private onsen number 1 and 5 are the best and most picturesque!!!
I'm doing all a favor and posting all the pictures of the private onsens.

IInvitéNice and clean business hotel very near the Yamagata train station. Location is top notch! Basic hotel with everything you'd need. There is an artificial onsen on the 14th floor, which was good for a soak after a long day. Breakfast buffet was basic but tasty. Warm foods like rice, miso soup, bacon, stir fried veggies, etc were available in addition to some pastries and bread with butter and jams.
Will definitely stay again when in the Yamagata area.

IInvitéNot as clean as I've come to expect of japanese properties. For some reason, the cleaning lady/man left some black rubber debris on the floor which looked sus and I ended up cleaning after them 😑 The onsen is small and old, but tolerable due to its sufficient heat. Breakfast is good but it ends up taking up precise (and critical) time because breakfast starts at 730, and by the time I got to the ropeway station (at 810) the queue is already super long and I waited three hours before boarding the cable car. Only one staff (mixed race?) speaks English and he doesn't look particularly friendly like other Japanese staff, but I suppose he's helpful enough to Western standards.

Yyuzu-1123C'était proche de la gare de Yamagata et avait un excellent accès !
Ils avaient un verre de bienvenue et un bar où l'on pouvait préparer son propre alcool, et c'était réconfortant de voir adultes et enfants s'amuser. Les femmes ont reçu 5 articles de toilette gratuits, de l'huile capillaire, des packs et des draps relaxants pour leurs pieds, ce dont j'étais heureux après m'être promené !
Il y a un petit bain de source chaude et j'ai pu vraiment me détendre après une promenade dans Yamadera et la ville de Yamagata ! J'ai aussi utilisé la laverie automatique parce que mes vêtements étaient très en sueur, mais vous pouvez les laver et les sécher pour 100 yens, donc c'est moins cher que dans d'autres hôtels. Tout le monde l'utilise, donc il y a du monde vers 18h00, et si vous le laissez sans surveillance, il finira dans le panier, donc les filles doivent être prudentes lorsqu'elles lavent leurs sous-vêtements !
J'ai été très satisfait ! L'imoni du petit-déjeuner était également délicieux !

RRosina KimIt’s quite a big hotel, 3 buildings are connected and there are many rooms. The rooms are a bit outdated but still maintained well. Service was good and flexible. Transportation to the village is quite necessary when the roads are covered by snow, especially with luggage. They have free shuttle bus which is great.
Best parts: 1. Dinner semi-buffet has unlimited alcoholic beverages including local sake, draft beer and wines. 2. Ski & board rental shop is right outside of the hotel. Although hotel only accept cash for the lift ticket, you can rent the gear (rental shop accepts credit card) and ski down the hill (20sec) to the cable ticket counter to buy ticket, pay by credit card. The location has lifts 5,6 and cable 4

DDemi.9.2La meilleure expérience que j'ai pu obtenir de cet endroit a été la propriétaire, qui était une excellente cuisinière et exceptionnelle dans ses conversations et ses manières d'envoyer et d'accueillir ses clients.
L'emplacement est également merveilleux, car il est calme mais pas loin des principaux quartiers où manger et transiter à Yamagata. Honnêtement, l'un des joyaux cachés.
Le seul inconvénient serait probablement le jacuzzi car elle s'en occupe elle-même et s'il y a plusieurs personnes qui y vivent cette nuit-là, il peut devenir un peu sale, donc je continuerai à utiliser les douches.
J'aime tellement cet endroit !
