IInvitéI had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The room was clean, and the location is good. But most important is the staff. All of them are so friendly and always ready to help you. Always smiling. I would like to mention Vanessa, Lucas, Thomas, and Chef Concierge Moo Thaw for their excellent service. I wish all of them a great future in their career. Thank you. 😊

PPomPom0It was a great stay. Staffs are polite and helpful. A male receptionist and a woman Housekeeping attendant at 16th floor were particularly helpful during my stay. The Pool is beautiful and I was actually amazed that they built a very deep pool for a hotel (1.9 m). My feet barely touched the pool ground, but they did have the fitness trainer who watched out for the deep pool. The room is okay, but I feel like it’s a bit small. Don’t get me wrong, they already are among the widest rooms in Yangon, yet the room I got had very tight entrance. The bathroom is separated with toilet and shower and bathtub. TV is rather small, I expected to have a more updated smart TV in this kind of hotel.
The only thing I wasn’t satisfied was Breakfast. Yes, they did have variety of selections but the tastes were blend and honestly, I didn’t like their food menus.
Overall, it was pretty decent memory to stay at Melia.

ZZmeyerOld luxury hotel - resort style big pool, great breakfast, spacious rooms. They have to renovate it, but it still very nice.
Ah, by the way. Its hard to find some restaurants nearby - be prepared for taxi for any case. But they have 24h convenient store on first floor.
And - its very strange for the hotel of this level - there was a situation with exec lounge. It was in my booking but they refuse to give me access: ”It was an error in room description”. Guys, its really not my trouble, right? I wasnt in the mood for hard negotiations, so... let carma decide ))) And they have no local shuttle bus (yes, there is an error on hotel site). Heh )))

LlinbewieThe hotel is clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast spread is decent and since the breakfast hall is on the top floor, the view is nice. Location is good with convenience shop and a small mall within reasonable walking distance. Highly recommended for those looking for a place with value for money.

IInvitéWould stay again. Great location, close to area famous landmark by walking distance. Room need sound proof due to noise from street and near by park especially on morning. Also room key needed to be updated. Like old style bulk key chain back in the 80's . Great breakfast buffet and enjoy it. Staff are very attentive and helpful. Overall, very pleased with stay.

L'hôtel est un hôtel récent, mais je suis choqué par le manque de compétences anglaises dans un établissement 5-star à Yangon. Ironiquement, le technicien informatique était la seule personne qui a compris un peu l'anglais, qui était le seul facteur de remboursement de la communication.
Principales questions pour les voyageurs internationaux:
Barriere linguistique : Ne vous attendez pas à utiliser l'anglais avec la réception ; c'est principalement un environnement de langue mandarine.
Règlement sur le tabagisme : malgré les signes ”Aucun fumeur” dans le salon, les clients fumaient ouvertement sur les tables de café. Il me semblait que je suis en Chine plutôt que au Myanmar.
Le buffet de petit déjeuner est strictement chinois.
Condition de la chambre: Mon chambre a eu un odeur persistant de fumée et était plein de moustiquaires.

I requested a water bottle to be sent to my room at 8:30 AM, but was told that room service only starts after 11 AM and that I should go buy water myself from the convenience store.

AARIF_GlobetrotterExcellent for those Muslim travellers who are looking for Muslim Halal Food and Mosque in walking distance. They have several complexes named Hotel Grand United. I must recommend you to stay there as it is a very cheap price with breakfast. They have no pork in the breakfast.
