Hôtels proches de Balcatta Village Centre, Perth

We wanted accommodation close to the Arena and this was perfect. The staff, cleanliness, breakfast, accessible bathroom, were all great. Shame about the comfort level of the bed and couch. The bed rolled into the middle big time and was very low. The couch was extremely low making it unusable for a person especially with a disability. They had obviously not thought about this aspect of useability only the bathroom to make it an accessible rating. We would stay again but not in that room and we would enquire about the comfort of the furniture.

Special occasion for our wedding anniversary and well looked after by the Hilton Parmelia staff, and it’s always nice to see long time staff and the meet new. While diamond HH, we were upgraded to a beautiful Kings parlor room for the weekend, had an amazing breakfast in our room, and we always find the executive lounge enjoyable as a relaxing place to go and the food offered is often varied. We enjoy the Samuels restaurant and bar food menu, but I do miss the Caesar salad from the pre covid days. It used to be the best. We have stayed at other Perth hotels, including the DT but the Parmelia still comes out tops for us. Thank you for making the weekend so special.

Great location, friendly staff. Met our expectations. Decor is a little dated and old and the hotel restaurant and bar were closed for renovation which is a pity, but the hotel was convenient to walk to food outlets, trains and attractions.

Lots of the reviews here, I believe, are reviewing Mercure on Hay (the newer, more upmarket hotel and possibly better of the two although I haven’t seen it), whereas lots of reviews in Mercure Perth on Hay are referring to Mercure on Irwin. I’ve compared the photos and the hotel details and official photos are definitely that way round. SO… this one, Mercure Perth (which is on Irwin St) is the bad one. It’s awful. It’s tired, badly fitted out, dingy and I hope never to stay here again. My room was down a corridor of *****ed (and stained) carpet that made me feel nauseous to look at. The room was ok, the bed comfortable, but more stained carpet, and lots of things didn’t work. Several light bulbs were broken, lots of curtain hooks missing, the room safe didn’t work, the bath had a rusty patch in it. The aircon was too cold for me and I followed the instructions to turn up the temperature but it didn’t warm up. Two phone calls and three hours later, someone attended my room, told me the air con wasn’t adjustable as it’s one temperature for the whole building so the instructions were incorrect. He turned it off (supposedly) and I then spent my stay with no aircon although the room was still cold and not stuffy and the control panel didn’t say ‘off’ so I think the whole thing was just BS and they couldn’t be bothered to deal with it or give me another room. Staff care factor of the attendant was zero, and of the front desk staff, close to zero. I got woken up in the early hours of the morning several times by skip bins being moved around in the laneway outside (very loud chains being dropped in the skip bins and noise reverberation). The next night the fridge started making such a loud noise in the middle of the night that I had to turn it off and use the spare towels to absorb the water as it defrosted. I’m just curious why Mercure keep this one running. Perhaps it’s set at a different price range but it’s not doing their brand any favours with two Mercure hotels so close together, especially with all the reviews mixed up.

The hotel location is incredible. Centrally located and well connected. The parking in the area is a kitchen costly. The staff and service are average. Staff seemed too stressed out, and while breakfast is just interested in your room number. One day, we were asked about 4 times what our room number was! The reception staff seemed like just doing the job..we asked for ice and were told to pick up from under the stairs. When we reached there there is no way to take the ice. So we went back and asked and were told oh sorry they forgot to give us the ice bucket...no apologies..just that the buckets are in the restaurant. So to end it really incredible location,room decor, staff and service can really improve.

Nous avons trouvé cet hôtel si opulent et magnifique. Pure classe et service exceptionnel à partir du moment que nous avons pris pour le parking valet. Nous avons dîné dans la fabuleuse grille de Firewater. Les choix de menu, la sélection du vin et le service étaient vraiment de première classe. Le restaurant est très confortable et très confortable. La chambre était très confortable, la chambre était très confortable et la chambre était très confortable. Les chambres sont très confortables et sont très confortables. Nous avons passé près de deux heures à une table de fenêtres, en profitant des belles lumières nocturnes, en chattant, en relaxant et en profitant de la très généreuse sélection de canapés, de vin et de spiritueux. Le petit déjeuner au Firewater Grille offre des options de nourriture fantastiques, chaudes et froides, et il n'y avait rien d'autre que ce que nous aurions voulu. Le personnel de l'hôtel Duxton doit être loué pour leur excellent service et attention aux détails. J'ai été si impressionné. Faites-vous un service et prenez-vous un court ou long séjour dans cet hôtel incroyable. Je vous garantis que vous serez vraiment détruite et faite pour vous sentir spécial.

Sinks filthy, kettle dirty, pillow cases with make-up on them. Just not good enough Crown, I've seen the people who stay there after a boozy night at the ******. It's not a lot to ask to have a clean room. I wiped the sink with a flannel, just needed a little bit of rubbing and I'm not paid to clean someone else's mess. Last time I stayed, I had to step over urine in the toilet to use the toilet. Check-in was lengthy because I had a voucher,I had to download an app because their processes had changed. At check out I was asked if I had a debit or credit card to pay my bill, I said I'll use my debit card to avoid bank fees then they send me an invoice later that night with credit card fees charged to my Visa that I used to hold the room? I asked weeks before our check in if we might be able to get there earlier, and sit by the pool while our room was ready but I was told it depends on the manager. There's no give, just take. So disappointing

La chambre de vue de la rivière, je peux voir la ville, l'hôtel est une nouvelle décoration, je vois la conception de la chambre avec un examen comparative, l'usage est très bon, la porte lourde, l'apparence de pièces en argent, les accessoires japonais de table, la chambre n'est pas grande mais équipée de plateaux, l'espace est plutôt très rempli, Les serveurs et la réception sont amis et intimes, en général, très bon, le rapport coût/prix est très élevé à Perth. Points de désert: le couvercle est trop petit pour laver le visage sur le côté du dragon; le corridor est un design ouvert, il y a un vent particulièrement grand la nuit, la porte est difficile à dormir toute la nuit; le petit déjeuner n'est pas très choisi et la qualité de la nourriture doit être améliorée.

I have stayed at the hotel over the past 15 years and it has gradually become a little run down here and there but the worst change is the service, nobody has a smile or greets you as a guest, your just another inconvenience for them. I stayed in a ”Deluxe” King room last week and the Bathroom was dirty and the Shower over Bath is a disgrace (see photo). I don't think I'll be staying again until some marked improvements have been made.

AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE BIG4 … LOOK ELSEWHERE Recently, my wife and I stayed at Big4 Perth Midland Tourist Park. This without doubt would have to be the worst Big4 caravan park that I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed at a few being a Big4 Member. In fact, I would go as far as to say that it is an absolute disgrace to the name of Big4 who would do well to distance themselves from this park. Many of the permanent’s sites, of which there are many, are nothing short of hovels which should be condemned; the ablutions whilst old, really need some proper cleaning and not just a lick and a promise. Hand soap in the ablutions was hit and miss, and garbage bins were continually overflowing and reeked of rotten food (prawns heads, crab shells etc) in the heat. The bins need to be either replaced more often as they become full or moved to a more central area away from sites, and if the permanents must walk a short way to put their rubbish in the bin, then so be it … having them parked outside their vans bringing flies and vermin is unacceptable especially in the heat of summer. Our site had a gutter that was so high that it caught our grey water outlet as we backed in twisting it 90 degrees, but thankfully not breaking the outlet. When we leave, again we expect the high gutter will catch the outlet again and hopefully not break it. Despite the check-in documents saying there is to be no washing of cars and caravans, several times we saw both permanents and campers doing just that … washing their cars etc … no intervention by staff was ever observed telling people to stop this practice. We needed consistent WI-FI as we were selling our house and needed contact both with sales agency and solicitors to facilitate the sale … but the Internet was “spotty and intermittent” every single day of our stay, even in the early hours of the morning when fewer people would be using it. Numerous times a day, I had to reboot my laptop which was extremely disappointing and frustrating when the booster was less than 10 metres from where our caravan was situated. Whilst the staff were fabulous, and accommodating, and the rates competitive, it did not make this stay worth coming back … we will never stay here again. For those looking at staying here, look elsewhere … it is a disgrace!
