We picked this location as we were going to a music festival nearby and taking odd days to explore the area…in between we were hoping to chill by the pool. How disappointed were. The plastic tree that greets you in the reception, is a pretty good representation of what you are going to get…Fake, this place is soulless and fake, but what makes it worse, it’s “tired fake”. From the dirty grubby carpets and chairs, black scuff marks on the once clean white walls and the cheap Italian style melamine furniture now chipped exposing its self for what it really is .. cheap coated chipboard. The first night we booked a table for dinner, on our way out we thought we’d have a drink in the bar first. The bar was empty of customers and bar staff so we made our way to the restaurant. The food was so bad it was comical. The tenderloin I ordered was so tough it should have been served with a chainsaw on the side. Breakfast the next morning was the same odd, awkward experience. But one thing we did realise they were actually other people staying at the hotel, not couples as you’d expect in a spa hotel but large families with lots of kids. We made our way out for the day. On our return we thought we we have a few hours buy the pool, .not possible, the pool was full of screaming children. So next option, sit on the balcony with a drink.. the balcony walls had black mold on them and the wooden deck was almost rotten and didn’t feel safe. Anyway below you had more screaming kids playing ball games. The 2nd morning we woke up and noticed that the 2 coffee pods that we had on the first morning hadn’t been replaced, I asked at reception on the way out and was told I need to pay an extra 1€ per pod after the first night.? Also the shower gel and shampoo were not replenished after the 3rd day I had to go to reception again and ask for them. I could go on… basically this place made us miserable, so miserable we changed our flight home at extra cost and checked out 2 days earlier than we were booked in for, losing the money for those last 2 nights. I would not recommend staying here.

L'hôtel est très confortable et confortable. La chambre était propre et confortable avec une vue magnifique sur la rivière et la ville.Notre paquet comprend un bon dîner, où le service était excellent. Nous avons également eu un bon petit déjeuner à partir du grand buffet.

A moins d’être joueurs de basket ball vous ne pouvez pas atteindre les cintres qui sont suspendues à une tringle située à 2,10 ou 2,20 mètres du sol. Le plus étonnant est que lorsque vous en faites la remarque au personnel, il vous répond qu’il le sait alors qu’il suffirait d’aller acheter des étagères à bricomarché et d’en poser une dans chaque chambre pour ramener la hauteur de la tringle à 1,80m et le problème serait réglé. On m’a bien proposé d’écrire mes recommandations mais je n’ai pas eu la moindre réponse. Par ailleurs, vous entrez et sortez de l’établissement dans l’indifférence la plus totale de la part des hôtesses!

Je vais vous paraître un peu dur d'autant que je n'ai pas l'habitude de faire des commentaires aussi négatifs . dès la réception on sent une odeur de chlore mélangée avec un produit désodorant ce qui n'est pas très agréable. point positif dans la chambre la literie ,le linge de lit et les serviettes sont neufs , les chambres sont des taille tout à fait correcte par contre les prises multiples au sol et la clim ainsi que le compresseur dans le placard ça on ne l'a jamais vu... et c'est particulièrement désagréable le parquet est rayé de toutes parts. nous avions réservé une chambre supérieure vue golf ,en fait de vue nous avons un arbre avec des petites maisons derrière et la vue sur toute les terrasses des chambres voisines uniquement séparées par une petite barrière donc beaucoup de vis-à-vis , pour l'intimité on repassera ... dans la salle de restaurant vous êtes accueilli par un panier avec 4 feuilles séchées et un mot nous indiquant que toute la nourriture emportée serait facturée comme si nous allions remplir nos poches de produits de petits déjeuner ,le buffet correct sans plus inutile de penser à avoir une conversation de lourdes chaises raclent le plancher nous en empêchent,un bruit infernal surtout en cette période de 15 août où il y a les fêtes et les vacances scolaires il y avait quand même un peu de monde. quand à la piscine elle est commune avec des personnes de l'extérieur avec cours collectif aucun transat, ce n'est pas une piscine d'hôtel c'est une piscine municipale . Si vous souhaitez vous reposer un peu vous avez un carré de verdure avec 6 chaises en tout.et pour tout. aucun parasol. aucun transat Non vraiment cet hôtel mérite une grande rénovation nous avions hésité entre deux hôtels mal nous en a pris de choisir celui-ci

We were in awe of this home. So much to explore and so much history! Loved the thick granite walls and original wooden doors/shutters with hardware, antiques and displays everywhere, beautiful view, and even a pool. It is situated in a quaint little area by a church and you can easily walk down to the river. The area around Ponte da Barca is absolutely beautiful and fun to explore. The hosts are very friendly and offered a lovely breakfast.
