Golflinks Hotel

Our stay at the signature room was wonderful. The view is so beautiful. We could see sunrise and sunset from the room. The room had everything we need. We particularly enjoyed the shower and the warm floor in the bathroom.

We booked room 21 and just as we ended the long day we went to get into bed, and noticed under the single sheet there was a small blood stain, then I pulled up the sheet on both beds and found multiple blood, urine and somehow lipstick stains on both mattresses. And for it to be as bad as in the pictures it would have had to go ignored for months if not years, there wasn’t even a mattress over sheet, only 1 sheet and a duvet… After we went down to the reception all the staff had already gone home so we had no choice but to try and sleep on the horrible mattresses. For some reason during the renovation someone decided to remove the bathroom light switches and replace them with automatic lights that keep coming on during the night with no way to turn them off. We were offered a different room the next day but we just wanted to get away from such a horrible hotel.

Outstanding hotel. Rooms are well equipped and comfortable. Food is excellent and the service is really warm and friendly. Staff are brilliant and really looked after us. Think this might be the best cooked breakfast I’ve tried. Pizzas were really good too. Highly recommended.

Brilliant hotel and facilities for an event reception staff are fantastic Shannon and Chloe 10 out of 10 room nice clean and well stocked bar staff spot on ,we have stayed a few times now and everything the place gets bigger ,the new extension to Kelly's complex is great, would highly recommend for a short break or an event the normal staff make the place run fantastic well done #Bacon

Just back from a girls trip celebrating our friends 40th birthday. First time & won't be the last. Beautiful room & beautiful food. The service was exceptional. Every member of staff went above & beyond. Great time had by all. Many thanks ciara

We arrived slightly early but only had a short wait for our rooms. We stayed in room 1 for the 2nd time. Smell of fresh paint in the hallway and room and couldn't fault the decor. Complimentary tea, coffee (including coffee machine), biscuits, crisps and water. Bed and pillows comfortable to sleep on. You can hear other guests moving around upstairs but it didn't bother us or affect our sleep. Other family members had room 21. Not the best view but who goes away to look out a window anyway? It was a twin room and sufficient. Both safest didn't work and reported to reception. Was offered to use a safe in another room but just kept valuables with us in the end. Food was good with four of us opting for the pizza deal - 2 12inch pizzas, sides and drinks for £20. Pizzas are made in a wood fire oven and tasted good. On Friday night we opted for the steak deal. £20 for steak, side, sauce and drink. The wine with the deal wasn't the best but a slight improvement here could really make the deal perfect. Staff all work very hard and are very friendly - Brian was always flying around making sure everyone was happy. Barman worked his socks off. Lily took our food order for 6 people on Friday night and everything was spot on. It was the same at breakfast. Location is great too, just a short walk to Portrush town, beaches etc. Lovely stay overall, thanks guys. See you again.

From start to finish we could not fault this hotel. Shannen on reception was so pleasant and helpful as were all the staff throughout the hotel. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite which was lovely. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel the food was amazing and plenty of it and the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much bother for them. All in all an amazing stay in an excellent hotel which we will most definitely return to with or without the upgrade. Thank you

Two weeks ago, we spent five nights at Golflinks Hotel in Portrush. I recommend it highly. It’s a relatively small hotel, but beautifully appointed and it has a full restaurant and bar with excellent food and service. Rooms were clean and fresh, and the location is convenient and scenic. When we first arrived, Matthew greeted us and was so kind, funny, and helpful, that he quickly made us feel at home. Over the next five days, we continued to be impressed by the staff and facilities. Shannon was knowledgeable about the area, Lorraine was kind enough to drive us to see sheep :), and Stephen provided us with help and transportation a few times as well. The truly impressive part about the hotel is the staff teamwork that was shown. They all pitched in together - no job too big or too small - and it almost felt like we were staying with a big family. Grace, Faith, and Misha all showed us kindnesses, too, and we were grateful to them all. I don’t know when I’ve come away from a place having gotten to know so many staff members by name or feeling genuinely sorry to be leaving them. As I write this, I’m at the airport heading back to Florida, and of all the places we’ve been in the past three weeks, it is the folks at Golflinks that are standing out in my mind as those that I am so pleased that we had the opportunity to meet. The reception staff are great really professional and I would like to say thank you to Shannon especially ,nothing was too much trouble The Libary bar is nice and friendly with a good choice of spirits as are all the bars attached to the hotel The restaurant staff are quick to serve you and are very welcoming food available all day also a chip shop and pizza take away on site in the evening good quality food. Live music is on most weeks The hotel has been refurbished recently not that it needed it but is classic modern looking rooms are nice big windows great views ideally situated if you love golf or want to tour the amazing coast.. On site parking walking distance to the town or beach , will be going again next year in my opinion a great hotel with great staff Darran Partridge Peterborough UK
