Chateau St. Havel - Wellness Hotel

I stayed just one night. The stay was all right. I had an attic room which was spacious and clean but the ¨bathroom was tiny. On the other hand, I could find a wide range of amenities in the bathroom. In the room coffee and tea facilities are available too, with a bottle of drinking water. The bed was comfy. WIFI strong, it worked well throughout the hotelBreakfast is included in the price with a wide range of warm and cold items. Free parking is available, and the hotel is close to a busy highway, part of the Prague inner ring road, but no noise from the traffic can be heard.

It's a nice wellness chateau with extensive golf facilities (so nice views of the greenery) and absolutely fantastic wellness. The hotel is situated next to the motorway so at times you can hear cars, not see them though. It took us about 25 minutes to get to the centre by car. It all started with a wrong rate quoted for the booking that the hotel confirmed in writing and then called me in panic that they could not give me such rate; in the end, we agreed on an acceptable compromise. When we arrived, I was quite disappointed at the service but then it got better and people were polite and helpful. We had a 'tasting dinner' booked in the hotel restaurant which was really excellent including service, compared to the buffet breakfast where one has to set up their own table - every day - and waiters are just clearing up. Our room was the best room and located in the tower but the bathroom was not very practical - it has only a bath and the shower head is not attached to the wall. There is only one small shelf so I had to use a table in the room to place all my toiletries on. Shame as the room was really nice and romantic, with a four-poster bed. The best kept secret is the spa facility - we booked a three-hour package, so one hour in the sauna, one getting a massage and one in the whirlpool. We had these facilities fully at our disposal. Our package also included a bottle of Prosecco and two large bottles of water. These facilities can be booked even if you do not stay in the hotel. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and we will definitely use the spa again in the future.

We have started with a picnic in the garden, which was great but the grass cutter has been revolving around us as a vulture. For a dinner we had 4 dishes menu, started at 6, but ended at 9, so for me very very slow... also the rabbit was too salty and fish cold... I would say the food was Ok but not delicious as I expected. Than we moved to the room with very loud music from the corridor...after 10 we called the reception to finally stop the irritating noise. And in the morning there was no soap left, so the staff is probably not very caring.

Wir waren vom 23. bis 29. 12.22 im Hotel. Das einzige was wir vermissten war eine Kommode im Schlafzimmer und ein Schrank im Bad. Wir sind nicht gewohnt, unsere Kleidung im Koffer zu belassen und unsere Utensilien im Bad auf dem Fußboden abstellen zu müssen. Das gehört sich für ein 4Sterne Hotel eigentlich nicht. Das ist durchaus verbesserungswürdig. Frühstück war perfekt. Immer alles da. Absolute Ruhe ist dort leider nicht möglich. Eine Schnellstraße liegt gleich neben dem Hotel. Dauergeräusch unüberhörbar.

Wir waren mit Familie in 3 Zimmern dort. Das hotel ist wirklich schön aber die Bedienung war mangelhaft. Es ist uns vorgekommen als die Putzfrau Kaffee serviert hat und nebenbei das check out gemacht, es war sehr langsam und sie hat sich nicht so gut ausgekannt.

Freundliches Personal, die Küche einschl. Frühstück besser als die Zimmer. Bad und Dusche winzig, Betten nicht besonders komfortabel und leichter muffiger Geruch in den Zimmern, Insgesamt Renovierungsstau im ganzen Hotel, Böden wirken alt, schmutzig und vermitteln einen insgesamt nicht allzu sauberen Eindruck. Lage ist nicht wie auf den Fotos, im Grünen abgelegen und jenseits von Trubel. Im Gegwnteil es liegt direkt an einer Schnellstraße
