Viva Mare Foinikounta

What a beautiful little gem. This boutique hotel has beautiful rooms, great vistas, welcoming pool and wonderful staff. A short walk to the waterfront local tavernas with the freshest seafood and great prices. I could have stayed a month!

Stayed at Viva Mare for 9 days on our trip through Greece, and I must say it’s just a wonderful property within easy walking distance to the local shops and restaurants . Large, clean, spacious rooms, coupled with excellent, friendly staff that are helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. The pool area is also lovely to relax around if you choose to do that over the local beaches. Will definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

This is a clean, spacious and well-equipped set of apartments with amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Lovely views to the sea (from most apartments - we had a good view), good sized swimming pool with plenty of sun beds and a poolside bar. Finikounda is a lovely seaside harbour village with nice beaches (gorgeous clear, warm Ionian Sea), lots of excellent tavernas (5 FFFFFs the best for us) and a good supermarket as well as fishmonger, butchers and local produce. Quite simply one of the best family holidays we have had and our boys are 22, 20 and 17 so the fact they loved it, too (had their own apartment, which helped!), is a top endorsement, I think. Roads are not busy and some nice costal towns to see at Methoni and Coroni. We started the holiday with trips to Mystras (near Sparta) and Ancient Olympia - both hugely impressive. The drive down from Olympia was a little slow in places sub not too long. If you haven’t been to the Peloponnese, just go.

This hotel and staff were faultless. The accommodation was spotless and the staff were incredible. Loved the idea of breakfast being in a bag as we ate at our own pace in leisurely surroundings. The breakfasts were outstanding with wonderful fresh bread and anything you wanted was there. Both Alex, Chris and all the staff are a credit to this 5, yes 5 star accommodation. I am really looking forward to visiting again.

This complex is 100% perfect in every way. Tried to find fault but couldn't. Spotlessly clean with clean towels and bedding every day. Pool was perfect and clean. Breakfast was delivered to us each day and could not be faulted. Fresh bread, cakes, yoghurt, bacon etc very day and was lovely to eat at own pace on our own private balcony. I do hope they continue to do this next year. Alex, Chris and all the other staff were brilliant. The lady who delivered breakfast every morning, always with a smile. The apartment was cleaned to perfection and indeed the toilet had daily, a sticker placed on it to say it had been sanitised. The lady from Chicago was lovely and friendly. Facilites in the apartment were faultless.Much better than any 5 Star hotel I have stayed in in Athens .. it was perfect. Thank you

We had the pleasurable experience of staying at viva mare in 2019 and we duly obliged to use this as our base for our 2022 experience. When we we arrived we were greeted by Alex, an incredibly friendly Athenian who would do everything he could to make your stay welcoming and enjoyable. When we got to our room (A3) we were met with two double rooms and two balconies, a sizeable bathroom and kitchen amenities. Both rooms had air conditioning and the views from the balcony offered a sea view and also overlooked the pool. Breakfast is pre-order and delivered to your rooms at a specified time. You can change what you have each day and their is a vast quantity of continental and cooked available, all very fresh and all very enjoyable. Rooms are cleaned daily and the small lunch offering is well worth a try. The hotel's location is exceptional. You're a short descent down a hill and a mere 4 minute walk before you're in the sea and into finkounda town. Parking is accessible at the rear of the property and it also offers free wifi throughout. The swimming pool is an incredible temperature where it's harder to get out than get in! Honestly, one of the nicest, friendliest hotels we've had the pleasure of staying at twice now and hopefully, not the last. Thank -you!

a beautiful little hotel with great staff. Spacious rooms well appointed. Due to covid restrictions breakfast was pre oredered and delivered in a bag to your room. Not the best idea as cooked products arrived cool at the best. That said it is still a hotel that I would highly recommend and short walk to the beach and tavernas which retain their traditional feel. Walk back up is steep if you have walking difficulies. Lovely pool area and small bar.

Εξαιρεικό ξενοδοχείο με ωραία αρχιτεκτονική! Το δωμάτιό μας ήταν πολύ όμορφο, πεντακάθαρο και άνετο με κουζίνα και ευρύχωρο μπάνιο, προσεγμένη minimal διακόσμηση, καταπληκτική πανοραμική θέα προς τη θάλασσα και τον κόλπο της φοινικούντας από τη μια πλευρά αλλά και προς το βουνό από την άλλη πλευρά! Το προσωπικό πολύ ευγενικό, εξυπηρετικό και πρόθυμο να βοηθήσει κάθε στιγμή! Η θέση του ξενοδοχείου είναι ιδανική καθώς συνδυάζει την ησυχία και την ηρεμία με την κοντιvή απόσταση απο τη θάλασσα και το κέντρο της φοινικούντας! Του βάζουμε άριστα και το προτείνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα!!!
