Decameron Las Heliconias - All Inclusive

Bad cocktails, bad liquor service, good facilities, good service from staff, basic recreation service but with attitude, It does not have a steam room, sauna, the board games area should be improved..

One of the worst places I have been....many things did not work...we got there at night, first issue rooms had no air condition, you have to pay extra for it, even after I repeated several times I need air conditioner due to a medical issue, and I was willing to pay the extra $60/night, they kept saying our reservation (part of a package we had) did not include it, even to pay for it they have me a hard time. In the room there was a large bottle of water, I called to request another bottle as my husband and me take water at night, they told me I had to wait until the next day to request another bottle, I said bring me 2 bottles and charge me. They did not bring us any additional water (we slept there 3 nights). The safe deposit box does not have a lock, you have to ask for a lock in the office, and sign a paper, in case you do not return it, they will charge you $15. No fridge in the room, call front desk and their answer was "if we have one available we will bring it to you, but no guarantees", we were lucky enough to get it. There was an interaction with somebody called Luis, the Assistant Manager I believe, and he was completely out of line. Food was below average, there were always a few things in the buffet with empty trays. Several times when we ordered a juice, lemonade, they will come back saying "we have no more lemonade or juice" imagine running out of lemonade. The snack bar is bad, very little assortment. Very few employees that we can acknowledge did a good job, a waiter called Diner, a lady waiter (I can't remember her name). Two days it rained so much, they know it rains a lot so they have 2 large umbrellas in each room. Horrible service, dark rooms, the bathroom sink super old, food was average. Avoid coming to this property

My husband, son, and I were staying at the hotel in December. With the lights of Christmas, the hotel sees beautiful. The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious, the cocktais too. In this hotel you can swim in a beautiful pool, enjoy the coffee atmosphere of this region. Near here is el Parque del Cafe and Panaca. There were beautiful rooms. There were two restaurants, the food was delicious and varied. I recommend this hotel to stay with your family because enjoy the coffee culture, you can rest, see shows, swim, take a sun, and share with other people.

The rooms were big and house keeping kept our room clean and provided fresh towels daily. The food at the buffet was delicious and the staff was wonderful. I want to give a big shout out to Alex from the entertainment staff. Alex was a lot of fun and very curious and professional. Now, there are 3 things that I wish they had: Staff around the pool area to serve drinks. We had to walk out of the pool to get drinks. Secondly, the pool is very small and it gets packed fast. Lastly, snacks at the bar in the evening until the bar closes at midnight. The overall experience was very nice.

It was my worst experience ever, my paper wrist band given by the hotel fell in my room before we left to visit towns. When we came back to the room, it was clean but the wrist band was not in the room. They charged me $15 for the wrist band, and also, the lady at the front desk was being rude. The hotel does not have amenities at all, just a small pool. There is not many activities nor trails to walk, so there is not much to do at the hotel. By the way, a lot of flies in the restaurant Please if you really want to have a good vacation, this is NOT the place.

Beautiful place and well kept place; however, they do not offer kids activities when raining or kids channels. Very difficult to get dry towels for the pool. They wifi is really bad. The person booking the tours do not provide good or enough information about the tours and prices. Be prepared to not have a quiet environment while having a massage since the maintenance/activities employees will be talking about their personal affairs loudly outside the spa room. Late checkout is not offered. Most of the employees seem not to enjoy what they do. They seem to be bored and sometime not willing to help you have the best experience. However, I would like to appreciate the work done by the spa employees, the girl working at the store, some of the waiters, the captain (women) from the buffet restaurant, and Nico the driver. I would also like to advise them to get a new printer for the activity people, so they can provide some coloring pages for the kids and to get a new credit card reader or scanner for the Decameron explorer center. Finally, when booking through the Decameron be aware that they will offer things to your package that you will later find out were not included in your package such as baggages. It is so sad that because the employees do not care, Decameron chain is loosing money and credibility because they are not doing the most important job that is to make the guest have the best experience while on vacation. It is a shame!

Muy cómodas todas las instalaciones, cama, el cuarto; los restaurantes muy deliciosos. Muy cerca de panaca y hay transporte hasta allí. Siempre hay bebidas disponibles y los snacks muy ricos y completos. Lo único que se podría mejorar es la hora de hacer aseo a los cuartos

Las habitaciones sin decepcionantes pues son demasiado oscuras y para colmo so abres la ventana y estas en primer piso, todo el que pasa por el frente puede ver totalmente la habitación. Muy incómodo. Si se llega antes de la hora no puedes registrarte y esperar luego la habitación, hay que esperar la hora del checking.

Hotel Las Heliconias, excelente, lo atienden a uno como un rey, son muy amables todos los funcionarios del hotel, la comida es muy buena y hay mucha tranquilidad. Lo recomiendo para un buen descanso. Solo tengo una pequeña queja: Para poder cenar en el restaurante especial, con comida a la carta, le toca madrugar demasiado para hacer la reserva, ya que cuando uno va a desayunar siempre le dicen que ya se llenó el cupo. Eso no está bien porque pienso que todos los huéspedes debemos tener derecho a la comida especial a la carta, por lo menos una vez durante la estadía.
