Although this hotel needs some modernization, it will satisfy all your needs for a hotel...a comfortable bed, a filling breakfast, a nice bar/restaurant, an affordable price, and free parking. What my wife and I also like about it was that it was just on the outskirts of town, meaning that we could eat and drink to our heart's content and walk a lot of it off on our way home. This is our diet plan while on vacation down the Romantic Road. On our first night, we crashed a wedding celebration as the bar/restaurant was booked by these guests. Using my non-German speaking skills along with my US-trained diplomatic skills, I was able to get us invited although we were casually dressed. The breakfasts each morning offered every one could think off and were all made for individual helpings and wrapped with plastic because of COVID-19. You could also request eggs served hot. They ran out of soft pretzels the first morning, so the waitresses saved me three the next day. While I did not need three, I did appreciate her kindness and generosity. The staff of this hotel seemed to come from Hungary, which also gave me an opportunity to try my limited Hungarian skills. All in all, a satisfying two-night experience.
