Great place to stay in central Reykjavik and bonus points for being close to a bus stop for our tours! Very good value for money as they all have their own kitchen and bathroom. Lovely clean tidy and comfy. Easy access with codes to the door. Would recommend

We really enjoyed our stay! the apar**ent was lovely and clean and had everything you need for a short stay? We were ok with the stairs and the hosts were very attentive if you needed them? It could get a little noisy at night sometimes with people passing but it is in the centre of town so it’s to Would definitely return here if we visit Iceland again

Amazing apar**ent - location is just brilliant and apar**ent has everything you need. So spacious and such good value. We hired a car so we’re pleased to see there was car park. Absolutely loved Iceland and so pleased we booked Svala for the trip.

Fabulous apar**ent right in the centre of reykjavík. We had a studio apar**ent for 3 of us and it was huge with separate sleeping area with 2 beds and 2 beds in main area with dining table and well equipped kitchen. Little extras like a Nespresso machine with capsules, nice toiletries in bathroom and A communal balcony on the 4th floor where we watched the northern lights just made it perfect. Cheaper than a hotel and we cooked meals bought from the Bonus supermarket 2 mins away so saved a fortune on eating out.

I would not recommend Svala apar**ents at all. Our flight arrived earlier than check in and we weren’t allowed to check in early, while several other guests arrived early and checked in with no problems. Our luggage was delayed and we experienced several problems when they arrived the day after we did, Because the airport delivered the bags but didn’t know where it was located. The taxi drivers didn’t know either, we finally told them to drop up off at the Hotel across the street. The hotel across the street was very helpful with everything we needed, including letting our luggage get dropped off there. Our only communication was through emails. The room was hot most of the time. When we opened the windows, it was far too loud.

We loved our stay at Svala Apar**ents. We stayed in the penthouse and it was perfect for us as a family of four. Exactly as described with a king bed in bedroom and large sofa bed in lounge. Clean, comfortable and modern. Fitted kitchen with all basic kitchen utensils provided. Two lovely balconies. Deep in snow during our stay but my children enjoyed playing out on them. Door codes rather than keys were very useful. The location was ideal for exploring the city / near bus stop 9 for tour pick ups. A very useful guide to the apar**ent, recommendations for shopping / restaurants etc was provided. Very helpful. Lovely restaurants and shops nearby. The managers were very helpful and responsive to communication. On request they organised a camp bed for my son as he didn’t want to share with his sister. I would definitely use again and recommend to others.

Travelled as a family of four, Unfortunately on arrival we could not park at the Apar**ent as the roads were closed for the festivities, not Svala's fault but maybe could have given us notice? Once we got in they were warm and clean and that is all you can ask for when it's bitter cold outside, Spacious and exactly as described. Little limited regarding the utensils as not even a tray to cook anything in the oven which might be something to add, only four knives etc so had to keep washing up to use them. Bathroom nice and modern and beds really comfy, great location too. Once we were able to park around the back, people seemed to park where they liked (in our spot) so we then had to park in other spots which wasn't ideal, also leaving cars in stupid positions so difficult to exit. Not Svala's fault but ignorant guests and shop workers..! Over all enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Thanks Svala for allowing us to stay.

My husband and I visited Reykjavik in October. Our home base for the long weekend adventure was the Svala Apar**ent on Laugavegi. We were thrilled with the place. The physical space is inviting, clean, spacious for a couple (could easily hold two couples or a family with two kids), well-provisioned, and warm. The owners' guidebook is a delight. And most importantly: the location is FANTASTIC. We are big into walkability, and this apar**ent proved to be perfectly, walkably situated for all in-town adventures, as well as being close to pickup spots for tour groups to icebergs and waterfalls. Whenever we return to Reykjavik, we will absolutely rent the Svala Apar**ent again!

Great location, very clean, comfortable, spacious! We would definitely stay here again. Our penthouse came with a dedicated parking spot behind the building which we loved. Fast wifi, Netflix was a plus. The owner of the apar**ents had good food recommendations and were very quick to answer any inquiries.
