Booked this as a family stay, unfortunately it was more than a disappointment. From the moment we got there we noticed there are hardly any signs indicating where anything is, most of the accommodation is located far away from the reception and all paths are made entirely from gravel, so any one who has a disability will struggle walking around the place, even pushing a pushchair was unbearable. Children are not allowed to use the facilities such as the pool. We have stayed at Grantley Hall and children are allocated swimming slots at their pool. We were met with sheer disgust and an abrupt “Over 18’s only” when querying this. Please do not bother booking a bed and breakfast rate, you are allocated 4 things off the hot menu. One of them being a sriracha bacon sandwich, I am sorry but no one wants to eat that at 7am. It is something you order off a bar menu at lunch time. Any further hot drinks you are also charged through the nose for. And for a full English you will be charged a further £15. The majority of the furniture is from ikea, but is all beat up with chips and paint missing, the sofas had springs poking through. No indication of mini bar prices, whether is was free of paid for. Perhaps this is another money making tactic like breakfast? All in all a very odd experience for the price we paid, unfortunately we would not recommend it. Rudding Park down the road is far superior.

The most perfect wedding. We feel so lucky to have hosted our three day wedding at ML. It was perfect. The venue, the staff - just amazing. We found ML through a photographer we were following & called to enquire about hosting our wedding there. The staff are so incredibly friendly & inviting that our first impressions were very good. We were invited to visit & were very impressed with the estate. It’s a cross between Babbington House & Soho Farmhouse although we think it’s better than both as it offers so much. We went for a wedding in the main house / marquee with the after party in the incredible cellar bar of the main house which is like a mini Cross for those that remember the iconic London nightclub. ML has a dedicated wedding planning team to help you plan your perfect wedding & a few months out you are assigned one of the team who then oversees the delivery and is ever present on the wedding day to make sure all runs smoothly. They liaise with all the suppliers and it’s done incredibly well. We had Anna who was amazing as well as Laura who was the catering manager. We held our wedding over three days with events Friday night & Sunday (fun day) either side of our Saturday wedding. We had the perfect three days. Stress free thanks to the hard work of Anna, Laura and their teams. We can’t recommend this gem of a venue highly enough. Thanks to all the staff at ML for making our dreams a reality. Andrew & Lisa

I went to Middleton Lodge with my partner to celebrate his birthday. We spent the entire day at the spa, which we truly loved. The spa's cozy and tranquil atmosphere was enhanced by the snow that fell when we visited. The facilities in the spa are great and I feel it is really worth the money. From checking into the hotel to dining at the Coach House and the spa, every employee at Middleton Lodge was excellent. We really appreciate Lucy at the spa, who took care of us and helped to make our day there unforgettable. Our accommodation was lovely and well-kept. The one small drawback, in my opinion, is that it wasn't very well lit when we walked from our accommodation to the Coach House for our dinner. Nevertheless, our food was gorgeous and our breakfast was delicious too. I would definitely visit Middleton Lodge again as we had a fantastic time.

I paid for an afternoon weekend spa package for me and my mam, and woah! The day was absolutely amazing! At first I thought my god at the £170pp price but honestly money well spent! It was so luxurious, on arrival we got seated to fill out our lunch options and fill out some info to be greeted by the receptionist with a fantastic complimentary drink of what I presume was berries ( it was so nice!) We then got given each a robe, towel and some flip flops to change into, we got changed straight away and went to view the facilities, we tried them all! the hot tub, the heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, even braved the plunge pool! All were fantastic, out in the hot tub we were greeted by a member of staff who asked if she could get us any drinks to which we did and brought them straight out to us! Nothing was a bother and she was herself very lovely! With the package you get a 2 course lunch which was fantastic! Very well presented and very tasty, 10/10!!! We used the facilities some more until our included treatment Time, then we were greeted by the ladies to give us our treatments, I chose the Indian head massage whilst my mum opted for a facial, both were amazing and both ladies were lovely, the treatments were so relaxing and you could almost fall asleep with the atmosphere, afterwards we were taken to a quiet lounge area where presented on separate boards were a cup of tea, some lemon water and some frozen grapes and a little protein chocolate as the sunset came about we sat peacefully sipping the tea and water and eating the grapes, it felt like a dream! We are already in talks about our next visit! Would highly recommend the Forest spa you will not be disappointed one bit!

We enjoyed our stay, but it sadly wasn't as good as we had hoped. We had a room with an outside bath, but sadly there was no privacy to use the bath, as there were people using heavy diggers just nearby. The diggers also started early in the morning, which was not the relaxing start we were hoping for. For the price we feel some time in the spa should be included and not an extra. We asked if we could have a tour of the house, and were told someone would be in touch to let us know if this was possible, but we heard nothing. Also, be aware that it is quite a walk from some rooms to the coach restaurant, which is not an issue unless you are planning on wearing heals! On a positive note, the food in the coach house was very good and service good too. Lacks a bit in atmosphere though, as quite a large barn, so not an intimate dining experience. Breakfast was good, and a nice selection on buffet bar, with home made granola, but only hot options were bacon/sausage sandwich or eggs on toast. If you would like any of the other hot options, eg porridge you have to pay more! Disappointing.

Went for breakfast, firstly I love the area and have been several times to Middleton lodge, however, today I was very disappointed. Firstly my table was dirty with clean cutlery on it, secondly the coffee was a small cup, larger cup would be better(not cheap) and thirdly the breakfast was measly considering the price, half a mushroom I mean that stingy, half a tomatoe!!!, one tablespoon of beans! One sausage, and cremated streaky bacon, now I like my streaky bacon crispy but this clearly was well overdone and dry. I mean guys if you’re going to offer a breakfast at that price please give enough.

Such a fantastic place, staff are always lovely and friendly. After a wonderful walk a round the grounds, we ordered our hot beverages and had a chat to the staff. Next thing, a desert plate arrived with the gorgeous piece of cake and the words ‘Happy birthday’ for my friend. It was such a lovely surprise and an amazing gesture, certainly made her day. Big thank you to you all xx
