From the moment my call was answered by Lisa, I knew we were in great hands. Lisa and Dan have created a great inn, a lovely atmosphere supported by locals and visitors alike. It's one of those idillic country inns off the beaten track, out of the way, and very suitable for couples and a little romance. The food is lovely, good old pub grub at a very reasonable price for your evening dining. Rooms are surprisingly spacious and all with en suite. As a free house, they have some great cask beer, and none of the usual "off the shelf" Heineken family rubbish. A well stocked spirit shelf and a dart board in the corner. In winter a roaring fire, a beer garden in summer, and outdoor seating. Lisa and Dan, along with the family team, have created a lovely community based pub in a lovely village. We slept well in the comfy and well stocked bedroom, towels, tea & Coffee making, Harrogate spa water, shampoo shower gel, and TV with WiFi. Then you get to breakfast 😋 £7.95 Full English thick crusty breat toasted or a simple cereal and toast with preserves. This place had it all, relax in the bar, have a walk, enjoy the ambience and hopitality of a great inn run by people who work hard to please throughout your stay. P.S. We were heading home in Sunday but decided to enjoying Dan's slow roast beef brisket dinner with Yorkshire puddings.....umm Enjoy
