The service was excellent with helpful and polite reception, restaurant and bar staff. The room is basic but all you need for a short stay. The bathroom is nice and modern but the room is a little cold as the heating can only go up a little. One issue with cleanliness as the tea tray was dirty. The plastic water cups also broke easily which was annoying. You need to take a taxi to the airport which costs £14 and there are hotels which are walkable to check in. The taxi service was very helpful & polite. Overall good value for money.

Its just ok-Hotel itself fine but far from the airport entrance -( sort of round the back of the Airport ) -not sure if they have a shuttle bus so asked a friend to pick me up ( who could be waiting in Manchester's freezing rain anyhow after coming from the tropics!) -would I stay there again NO- there is another Holiday Inn Express right on Airport grounds next to Terminal 2 will probably try there. This one I reviewed fine if you have a car but as I did not was not!

We stayed in the Holiday Inn Express after a trip to Greece.our flight landed late (around 1am) and the hotel was a bit difficult to find and we ended up paying for a taxi there as we went to the wrong Holiday Inn at terminal 2. This one is about a 40 minute walk from there so further than we expected.
However, when we got to the hotel there was still somebody at the reception desk and it was very nice, clean, large room and the staff were friendly and the free buffet breakfast was lovely in the morning.

The hotel is really close to the airport which makes it perfect. The room was spacious & very clean the bed extremely comfy however unfortunately the pillows were not to our liking (too hard). Talking to other guests, they had one softer & one plumper (harder) pillow, that would have suited better. The grab bag breakfast for an early morning departure is a very nice touch.

Perfect for an overnight before an early flight. Staff were polite and helpful, helping print documents and arranging a taxi to the airport.
The room had tea and coffee and early breakfast was provided.
