Amazing! Beautiful! My mother in her late 70ties went to visit my son who is studying in Rome. This magical place is owned by two brothers who go beyond any definition of hospitality to make your stay A true dream Roman holiday. They helped my older mom with everything. My son had an emergency (he is 18 with diabetes 1) and they actually helped at 1 AM! Domus Monami is where old European class meets the modern comfort and you wish you could just stay longer, no matter for how long you are there for. The owners are like your family who respect your privacy:):). We are going back as soon we are able to. 🙏🏻💕

Dreamy, intimate family-run hotel. Highlights: - The hospitality is unmatched. Stefano and Fabrizio go out of their ways to make our stay memorable. Thanks for booking me drivers when I needed them and making recommendations for Orvieto! - Incredible views from the terrace and also just down the road at an overlook - Clean rooms - always a plus - interesting , countless objects to admire in the house from art to history including their own little piece of the Roman Empire. Amazing! The furniture in the rooms omg - easily accessible on what’s app for questions and correspondence - never waited more than 3 min for a taxi Worth noting: - breakfast is delicious! But served in a box, don’t let this deter you. Includes beautiful pastries and fruit. - with a beautiful view comes a good deal of hill-walking to and from trastevere. I personally loved that but it may not be for everyone.

We continue to congratulate ourselves on selecting such a wonderful, friendly place to stay for our four nights in Rome. We love the Trastevere neighborhood, and our hosts, Stefano and Fabrizio couldn't have been more kind and helpful to us. We feel we now have new friends in Rome! These brothers know what they are doing! The views from the outdoor roof, from the windows, from the surrounding neighborhood was beautiful. Talk about a panoramic view of Rome from the roof - oh, and don't forget to bring your bottle of wine or limoncello to sit while you admire the view and pinch yourself for choosing such an amazing place. A beautiful, family-run hotel in a perfect location with the most welcoming and helpful hosts--we are so glad we found Domus Monamí! The property is elegant, spotless and decorated with family artwork and heirlooms, creating a truly special atmosphere. It's located in a quiet, leafy neighborhood that's just a short walk from the bustle of Trastevere. The rooms are extremely comfortable, and there's a rooftop terrace with a breathtaking view of the city. We can't wait to return here on our next trip to Rome.

I booked this place because it had large rooms, in Travestere, and had an authentic charm, and I received what I was wishing for. When I started to read reviews, I noticed many were from 1 review reviewers and I got worried that I wouldn't be all that I expected. Well, I was wrong. This Guest House was excellent! We were in Rome for 4 nights, in the heat wave. Asthmatic Canadian that I am, this was very difficult for me. I was very happy that our room had very good functionning AC. It also affected our visiting plans, so we spent a lot of time at the House. The House itself is a family heirloom full of memories for its owners. It has a large common room, and equally large rooftop. We were very grateful to be able to use both as some evenings, we were too tired and hot to go back out again and ordered in our supper to enjoy at the House. It is very stately, and decorated with the owners amazing amazing art from their mother. She has a true gift. The online descriptions of the rooms were very realist and accurate. The room was exactly as I expected. It was a large room set up with 2 twins beds as we requested. The beds and linen were confortable. We had a view of the garden, it had a nespresso machine and kettle (bring your coffee or tea) and a small fridge and safe. The small fridge had a few drinks and snacks for purchase and I did quite enjoy the prosseco they sold at a good price! There was a very comfy sofa chair where I spent several hours reading with my prosecco while my daughter slept. The bathroom was a good size with giant miror. It also had an old lady's make-up mirror which I appreciated! ;-) and plenty of counter space for our products. If there is one suggestion I would do is to put a step in the bathroom to access the bath for shorties like me! It was very clean. I was glad to stay in this area. It is authentic, beautiful beyond words, local and calm. Even taxis we took mentioned how great a place this was when we arrived. On regular 33 celcius days, the 10 min. walk down and up is easy, as you have different path options. It is great to walk with locals and get to the bottom part of Travestere for a meal or aperitivo. When in the 40ies, I admit that we have taken a taxi back up, between 11 and 18 euros depending on where we started from. We were glad to have the option, but in 'normal' weather, the walk is pleasant and safe. Due to the weather, we were often out early in the AM so we missed the opportunity to have breakfast with the hosts and other guests, but hopefully another stay. Stefano and Fabrizio were so welcoming and sweet. Communication with them was easy from booking to departure. They made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you both!

My husband and I were traveling to Italy for our first time and decided to stay here for the portion of our trip in Rome. We absolutely loved it and cannot recommend it highly enough! Fabrizio and Stefano were perfect hosts, they were helpful and easy to work with (which was especially helpful as we had a long travel day and arrived later in the evening). The room was beautiful and well equipped with a great bathroom and - important for us - FANTASTIC air conditioning. It is located at the top of the hill in Trastevere, which means about a 10-15 minute walk down to the various restaurants in the lower portion of the neighborhood but we enjoyed this as there are fantastic views all over the city. Thank you Fabrizio and Stefano and we can't wait to stay with you again.

If you are in Rome stay here!! My husband and I spent 3 nights at this wonderful place. Fabrizio and Stefano were the perfect hosts. The rooms were spotless and beautiful All of our needs were efficiently met. They were incredible hosts and full of knowledge and tips for our stay. Our visit coincided with the Rome Marathon and transportation was difficult. Stefano went out of his way on a Saturday night to help us and our friends (that were staying elsewhere) arrange our transportation to the next leg of our trip. They even reached out the next day to make sure we arrived safely! Our stay exceeded all of our expectations and would encourage anyone going to Rome to stay here

The Domus Monami Luxury Suites is located in Trastevere, in an elegant area on a hilltop with a glorious vista of Centro Historico and beyond. It's about a 12 min walk downhill and some steps (not too steep) to Trastevere's main bars and restaurants and it's narrow, winding streets. Our flight arrived quite early in the morning and Stefano and Fabrizio had arranged a driver waiting for us at the airport. Once we arrived at Domus Monami, Stefano gave us a morning tour of the property and its surroundings which include historic, stately homes some of which are now embassies and universities. There are beautiful trees everywhere and chirping birds and parrots. We walked up to the roof terrace (there is also an elevator) which provided a spectacular view of the city. It was quite chilly as it was an early morning in February, but one can imagine enjoying many aperitivi basking in the golden apricot light of a Roman sunset. The interiors of the Domus Monami, which is the ancestral home of Stefano and Fabrizio, are historic and charming with high ceilings, classic detailing on the walls painted in pastels adorned with very creative and unique artwork. There is a large parlor area with light streaming in with beautiful marble floors and antique furniture. Our large, garden facing room was wonderful! So quiet and peaceful, an oasis after a long day sightseeing. Super comfortable bed, newly renovated bathroom with a "rain" shower and heated towel rack! Stefano is a gracious host and provided us with many suggestions to navigate Rome; especially dining. Trastevere has hundreds of dining options, many super touristy, so their suggested list is a great help. If you don't feel like walking, calling a taxi is no problem, very efficient. All in all, our stay at the DMLS was all we could have asked for and much more. We would absolutely stay there again. It provides a great balance between and hustle and bustle of one of the most visited cities on Earth and tranquility. Grazie mille Stefano and Fabrizio!
