Hotel Lindenwirt

Great location, room was within the outside balcony, which made it cold with cold air coming under the door. We had to place towel near door to stop the draught. You could not turn up the radiator any higher as it had an inhibitor to prevent doing this .So we found the room to be very cold. The food in the hotel was very basic with no vegetables at dinner time. Breakfast was good., sufficient selection. The staff were excellent and reception very good.. I think the hotel should have a bar / lounge for the customers to relax in the evening. That was a downer for its low score on this site.

My stay at the Hotel Lindenwirt was a very enjoyable experience, the room was clean and tidy, the location (right in the centre of town next to the Drosselgasse) was perfect, and the food in the restaurant was good. The TV decided to stop working one evening, but it was quickly fixed when i reported the issue to reception. All in all, i had a great time and would happily visit again.

We called the hotel on our journey through Europe and checked their availability for the night. They didn’t have a hotel room available but a very kind and helpful person in the reception suggested we stayed in two ‘wine barrels’ since we travel with our dog. We agreed to this for 260 € total. The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect and the staff is very helpful but the wine barrel was a horrible experience regarding comfort. If taller than 160cm (which I hardly am) you should not stay there, the beds are tiny in all dimensions. For our kids I think it might have been an ok experience but they were both on their way to fall out of the bed during their sleep since it so narrow. At one point during the night I considered lying on the floor instead so I guess that speaks for itself regarding the comfort… In addition to uncomfortable beds, there is also no sound-proofing so we heard our neighbors snoring and woke up every time a door closed. The wine barrel is also very light there are no possibilities to darken the room. I pointed the above out during checkout but apparently there are people also who loves these barrels??

Stayed here on a recent Bavarian Tour. Loved the central location of the place but no luggage service makes check-in/out very messy. The rooms were also very basic and in need of upgrade. We also ate in the hotel restaurant, the food was underwhelming. Lots of better choices nearby....

We spent 4 nights at this hotel, it is in a ideal position in the middle of the town alongside the Drosselgasse. Our room was very compact and had obviously been recently updated, it was nice and warm and the beds were very comfortable. Others in our party made comment that the rooms weren’t warm, but they were on the outside balcony. The restaurant was warm and welcoming on the first night, but the following 3 nights, the radiators were not even on. Not at all welcoming. Food for our party was very basic, and no vegetables with meals. Dessert was very underwhelming. But outside guests seemed to have a much better selection. Breakfasts were much better as the offering was for all grades.

Direkt an der Drosselgasse präsentiert sich dieses Hotel mit 80 Zimmern und 6 Weinfässern zum übernachten. Der Service im gesamten Haus ist sehr freundlich und persönlich. Leider sind die Zimmer doch sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Hier sollte dringend investiert werden. Ferner lohnt es sich immer einen Parkplatz direkt am Hotel zu buchen.

De onthaalmedewerkster was zeer vriendelijk. De kamer was zeer proper (op het tapijt in ons halletje na) en de bedden waren comfortabel. Degelijke badkamer met goede douche. Goed ontbijt. Ook hier was de dame van de bediening zeer vriendelijk. Het was zeer rustig. Er waren nauwelijks andere gasten en het was volledig buiten seizoen. Minpunten: De foto's van de kamers zijn zeer misleidend en stroken niet met de werkelijkheid. Wij hadden geboekt met een 'gratis upgrade' (via ***********) maar hebben een gewone kleine standaard kamer gekregen (kamer 5). Het tapijt in ons halletje zat vol vieze vlekken.

Een leuke ambiance met een heerlijk glas wijn. Gezellige inrichting en de menu’s wat uit geserveerd werden zagen er heerlijk uit! Maar…….. Wat een arrogante, verwaande obertjes lopen er rond. Als klant wil ik met respect behandeld worden ook al staat mijn kleding, kapsel ect je niet aan. Vergeet niet dat mijn euro’s jouw salaris zijn……

Das Hotel "Lindenwirt" wurde allerseits gelobt und die Erwartungen waren dementsprechend hoch. Leider kann ich die positiven Erfahrungen nicht bestätigen. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe nur eine Nacht dort und hatten Abendessen dazu gebucht. Eine vegetarische Verpflegung wurde bereits im Vorfeld bestellt. Mit unserem Zimmer hatten wir Glück - es war geräumig, sauber und warm. Von einigen unserer Mitreisenden hörten wir jedoch, dass dies nicht selbstverständlich war - viele saßen in einem eiskalten Zimmer, weil die Heizung entweder nicht an oder nicht bis in den letzten Teil des Hotels ausreichend kraftvoll war. Leider waren wir an einem der kältesten Wochenenden der vorhergegangenen Wochen dort, an dem zweistellige Minusgrade herrschten. Ein Hotel in dieser Preiskategorie und mit so einem Ruf sollte gewährleisten können, dass die Heizung kompensiert und die Zimmer bei derartigen klimatischen Gegebenheiten ausreichend beheizt werden können. Der Speisesaal beim Abendessen war ähnlich temperiert - wir saßen in Winterjacken im Restaurant und an anderen Tischen sogar Gäste mit Mützen. Als ich der Bedienung zu verstehen gab, dass das veg. Menü an unseren Tisch gehört, schien sie verunsichert zu sein und von nichts zu wissen, blieb aber freundlich und erklärte, was auf der Karte an vegetarischen Gerichten zu finden war, mit dem Angebot, Pasta zu servieren. Was dann letztendlich gebracht wurde, waren trockene und ungewürzte Kartoffeln, mit einem kleinen bisschen Gemüse - ebenfalls ungewürzt und in Relation zu den Kartoffeln so wenig, dass ein Drittel der Kartoffeln zurückging, weil Erstickungsgefahr bestand. Sowohl die Temperaturen als auch das Essen waren eine Frechheit, das einzig Positive des Hotels ist die Lage. Vielleicht hatten wir auch einfach nur Pech, trotzdem werden wir dieses Hotel kein zweites Mal buchen.
