El Encanto Inn & Suites

The hotel is in a nice location but right on the street so you'll hear traffic noise people talking and there's a bar down the street blasting music till 2:00 in the morning so don't expect to get a full night's sleep unless you're one of the people that are out carousing all night

We really liked this hotel and it worked well for our family of 6- two double rooms plus a suite that had a little kitchenette and was big enough for us to hang out as a gruop. We loved the location right on the best street of San Jose. The pool area is really pretty. But... it is pretty loud- unfortunately there are a couple of late-night bars/discos in the area. Ear plugs solved it for us, but be forewarned to bring ear plugs or a white noise machine

Lovely little Inn in the Art District of San Jose del Cabo. Friendly staff, lovely pool and the restaurant next door Habanero's is great and will deliver food and drinks poolside! Rooms poolside were perfect and convenient.

This hotel is a charming and delightful, old world boutique hotel right in the middle of San Jose Del Cabo. The rooms are very clean, the bed very comfortable, and the furniture nicely chosen in good taste. I love that our room opens out onto the area with the pool. At this time of year I didn’t see anybody use the pool as it is quite cold, and the weather is not enough to heat it The gardens are nicely kept and have some fascinating sculptures and other accent pieces. What would I like to see to make this charming hotel even more appealing? It would be great to have more shelf and storage space. Apart from one small chest of drawers, we were basically living out of our suitcases. It’s a small grouse but the coffee machine for morning coffee is pathetic and barely supplied one cup of coffee of any strength. But a redeeming quality is the excellent coffee and breakfast restaurant right across the street! This hotel is not for someone who likes the large all inclusive hotels, but someone who needs to be in the centre of this charming town, where the action is, and who likes quiet, relaxing, and tasteful surroundings. There is a restaurant, run separately, but attached to the hotel. We were happy to dine there the first night. But then we wanted to explore, the many excellent restaurants throughout the city.

Reservation process not properly managed. Everything else was very nice. Location, room, etc There are a few things that could be improved but in general is a very nice hotel, I would come back. Restaurant next door has live music great service and very good food.

When we were offered ear plugs and told that we had to go to the annex up the street, we should have bailed. When I asked to stay in the main building, I was told that we couldn't stay stay there, for reasons that are unclear to me now. The main building's gardens were charming and the restaurant next door was great; however, if you are not certain that you will be staying there, do not reserve. The noise from the bar next to the annex was so loud that at 8:30, knowing the music could go on until the early morning, we ended up leaving for another hotel. We didn't ask for a refund, but should have.

(Posted via google too) Stayed early January 2023. My friends and I were placed on the second floor of their annex building. The location is great and the rooms were nice but there was one problem: there is a bar right next door that randomly bumps music until 2am. It was difficult to sleep. We complained to the front desk and found out that this is an occasional issue. The people at Encanto Inn listened to us and quickly found a different spot for us to sleep. Our complaint was also passed up to the owner, Blanca Pedrin, who personally met with us. Blanca actually stayed in contact with us throughout our trip to make sure that we had a pleasant stay at the Inn and in the area (e.g., she gave us some great recommendations). Would definitely book with them again!

We had stayed here for one night way back in 2011, and I do recall that we enjoyed our stay, but on this occasion, where we spent two nights in San Jose and had a better chance to walk around town, we finally realized what a great spot this is to stay at. Very conveniently located. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. If you want to stay in the main hotel where the swimming pool is, it will cost you more, but really the second building across the street is equally as quaint and a great spot to stay, while still having full access to the main facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the price was reasonable.

Let me tell you one thing if what you are really looking for is a beautiful and calm place to relax and avoid crowded resorts then this hidden gem is the right place for you to go! the resort has such a calm vibe and the architecture has an old Mexico feel that no other resort in Cabo has (and we had stayed in other resorts in Cabo in the past), also it is located only a few steps away from the main Plaza and the San Jose del Church so you won't spend a penny for a taxi to take you there (which are the main atraction of San Jose del Cabo), the only thing you must consider is how to ge there from your arrival because if you don't book your transportation with enough anticipation you will have to wait between 40 minutes and 1:20 hours for an overprice taxi, so in order to avoid that we recommend you to book your transportation from cabo airport to El encanto with Cape Transfers, their rate to el encanto inn for a private suburban is only $60, booking on cape transfers website is fast and easy, another huge tip is that if you visit Cabo San Lucas and decide to visit el arco and you decide to rent a boat to take you there never take the first price the boat sellers try to give you because they can go as low as 50% from the rate they will try to charge you first. Anyway we hope you have an excellent vacation just as we did in Cabo and thanks again to all fo the El Encanto Inn and Cape Transfers personal for making our vacation so great and special you guys rule!! 🙌 ❤️
