Second visit and always exceeds our expectations. Spa is wonderful and the service impeccable. Rooms and hotel are spotless and location is perfect for town without the noise. So peaceful and ideal for a couple. We will continue to return for years to come.

The hotel facilities were really nice and good, but the service especially in restarant (only Damir was really good professional) and spa reception did not meet the 4 star expectations. The room cleaning was not sufficient (bedding, bathroom cleaning).

The hotel is one of the best we have stayed in. Everywhere was kept spotless with our room being really well laid out with plenty of room for Ski equipment. The food in the restaurant was absolutely spot on, after eating breakfast we didn’t need to get lunch because the evening meal was amazing, the food was always fresh and varied. All the staff were really pleasant and helpful, in particular Neba was the waiter for us most of the time. He was very attentive even when the restaurant was busy and seemed to genuinely care about us having a lovely experience. The spa was pleasant and the service at the bar was great. We would definitely recommend this hotel and absolutely come back to stay again.

For our first couple stay in Schladming we picked Falkensteiner. The spacious and balanced (wooden structures with modern interior design) architecture lets lots of light in and offers great views, the service personnel is super professional, friendly and the management seems to run pretty smoothly here. Everything is clean, quiet, subtle and well maintained. Great food. Also good location, very close to the center and yet on the outskirts near the river Enns and various trails.

In general a very nice hotel. Good food and location is relatively close to the main lift. (There is a shuttle to the lift if needed) Pro: 1)Great Breakfast (lots of fruits and vegetables) , variety of cheese bread, tea , fresh juice, and much more 2)Friendly and helpful recpetion 3)Clean rooms. 4)Buffet at dinner is very good and tasty 5)Waitress provided me a dedicated desert after she understood that I am allergic to one of the ingredients in the desert of the menu Con: 1)Most TV channels are in German , the only one in English I could locate was about economy. It would help to have few more English channels and one with music. 2)Bed and pillow were too soft 3)Served meals at dinner look very fancy but actually do not taste as good. All in all, a pleasant hotel for a ski vacation

The hotel was spotless clean. The spa area is huge with a pool, variety of saunas and plenty spots to rest. The breakfast food selection was excellent. We used the free shuttle to get to the cable car, I would have appreciated a higher frequency of the shuttle. The receptionists were very friendly and happy to help.

The hotel amenities, including the spa, are very nice and feel luxurious. We had half board - both breakfast and dinner were abundant and of great quality. The staff was friendly but based on our experience the majority did not speak English. On the negative side, we did not like that the sauna area was nudist only and opened at 11 am. Moreover, the rooms do not offer much privacy as the bathroom is only separated by glass walls and doors. I also did not appreciate that after paying an above-average rate for a room, the hotel includes a “voluntary tipping” charge in the final invoice as a default.

After the best Munich hotel, The Charles and the Kitzbuhel Tennerhof Gourmet & Spa, we tried to find a 5* luxury hotel on the Dachstein plateau, namely Ramsau area, which was simply not possible. Upon short notice, we did find a nice suite available at the Falkensteiner Schaldming, with half-board (4 & 1/2 *) Overall, it was a pleasant experience, with top level service in the restaurant (both at breakfast and dinner); also, the reception staff was very helpful and pleasant. The only downside was there were too many noisy children on the premises; I do not have much against traveling with children, but at top level hotel there should be a restrictive policy in vigor, asking the guests to pay full price for any child over 1 year old. This way, maybe the adut guests could have a relaxing holiday! The alternative solution is for the parents to ask their children to behave, but this is mostly a personal upbringing issue.
