Nea Efassos Hotel was easy to find with Google maps. We were met at reception by Ayla. What an incredible welcome from Ayla and her English is impeccable. Check-in was quick and the elder flower drink was a nice refreshing touch. We stayed in the Artemis room on the second floor. A lift from reception carries you there, no stairs. The room is quite beautiful, a very authentic Greek flair has been given to the rooms, from the frieze above the bed, the art work and the mosiac in the bathroom. Even the rubbish containers are in keeping with the setting. There is a sizeable balcony with cafe style table and chairs and affords a great view over the town in the direction of Ephesus. At night you can see the Basilica of St John and the Selçuk castle lit up in the distance. The room is comfy and individual air-conditioning available to cool or warm the room. Tea and coffee facility is provided for free and a mini bar/ fridge (chargeable). The bed is very good and extra pillows are provided in the ample closet space. Out on the front terrace is a good sized swimming pool and a smaller pool for little ones or those who just like to sit and relax. Beside the pool is the large breakfast/ dinner area housed in a lovely conservatory again overlooking the town. We didn't eat dinner here but we did eat breakfast which was immense. Seriously you will not go away hungry. A selection of meats, cheeses, olives, salad vegetables, eggs, jams, honey with cream, chocolate spread, bread, Turkish sausage the list goes on. Turkish tea of course and water. An incredible two night stay and very convenient for visiting the tourist areas nearby but being able to retreat away to a little quiet area with the best views without the hustle and bustle of town. Would definitely return here again I seen a heartbeat. Thanks again to Ayla for her assistance and making us feel welcome. Hope to see you again.
