One Farrer Hotel

Thanks to duty front of house staff especially Miss Rora at the reception counter who had been very friendly and thoughtful enough to have upgraded our reserved “Mint Den Room” to “Family suite room” after learning that it was our 20th wedding anniversary trip to Singapore. Besides, a complimentary tasty mousse cake was offered to us on our anniversary which was deeply appreciated. Upgraded room was very large, well ventilated and equipped with comfortable king size bed and a single bed which enabled us to have wonderful slumber during our 4-night stay in the hotel. House-keeping staff were kind and friendly and had offered us 2 extra bottles of drinking water per day after knowing that the two bottles of water placed inside our suite room could not accommodate our family of 3 during our stay. On the other hand, it seemed that the cistern and shower area in our two bathrooms had not been thoroughly cleaned daily where stains and hair were found during our stay. Besides, those used plates and cups/glasses had not been replaced but simply left intact even after house-keeping service was conducted on our last night stay which was a big shock to us (as it was not so for the previous three nights!) Location-wise, the hotel is highly accessible as it is 3-minute walking distance to the MRT station - Farrer Park. The City Square Mall is 6-minute walking distance opposite to the hotel where there is supermarket, food court with eateries like Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, Ding Tai Fung, Subway sandwiches etc. Despite of the cleaning problem which I think it could be much improved with more training and closer supervision, I will stay in this hotel if I come to Singapore again in the near future.

This hotel is cute,spacious and is really clean. It’s close to the metro/subway making it easy to commute . Literally a 2/3min walk to Farrer Park station.There’s also a mall close by.There are 2 pools and a gym area. However I wouldn’t consider this a 5 star hotel. While the facilities are nice, there’s nothing really “5 star hotel” about it. The breakfast menu is quite limited and the breakfast area is tiny for a hotel this big with many quests(8-10 tables). There were times they made guests wait in a queue for others to finish having breakfast and free up tables. 45minute waiting time was ridiculous as I’ve never experienced this in hotels that are fewer “stars” than this. This hotel is overpriced i.m.o. Kudos snd thanks to the breakfast host and hostess (lady and gentleman who took the guest register forgot their names),they were very nice and helpful.

I booked a Mint Den room but about 1 week before our check-in, I was informed via email that no available room and that our booking was cancelled. Trip called the next day and confirmed our room was available. To our surprise during our checkin, the room got upgraded to a 2-Bedroom Suite with large living room. Praise God for the experience. The room is so nice, the blinds are automated. Light switches glows when you are about to press the button making it useful at night. Table got bluetooth speaker, and ports for you HDMIs. 3 TVs total, 1 in the guest room, 2 large 65in TVs in livingroom and Bedroom. Toilet got Japanese toilet and half tub. Family enjoyed it very much. Thanks for the upgrade. The pool size is very big, the kids loved it. The jacuzzis are one of our favorites - 3 different pools having 3 different temperature. The breakfast has but limited choices but service is great! Just want to feedback for improvement: 1. I hope they switch to shampoo/soap dispensers 2. Switch to filtered tap water like other hotels 3. Provide ICE machine near lift lobby, we requested ice during our stay- but never delivered. 4. Fix the the closet light switch - does not turn off when closet is closed But overall, very nice stay.

Booked a mint suite. Room was OK, except we have faulty bedside wall plug (we have to charge our electronics in the living room), faulty ecowasher, faulty door chain latch. Had issues with the TV remote controller which is resolved after they replaced the battery. Please expect that one has to walk down the whole corridor to access the room. We were also disappointed to be informed only during check in that the sky lounge and private pool is closed due to covid measures, and the lounge benefits will be held at level 6 restaurant instead. However the Restaurant was of small scale. That also explains the reason why during check in, the receptionist suggested that we opt for room dine-in for the breakfast as expected wait could be 30-45mins if we wish to dine in at the restaurant. Lastly we have a $30 F&B credit which wasn't indicated clearly on where it can be used. Ordered food from the menu provided in the room, informed the restaurant that we will be using the F&B credit and they told us will place the bill under the room tab. During check out, receptionist informed that the credit cannot be used for the food we ordered. ????????????? Will not return if given a chance, hotel doesn't really feel 5-Star. Other than that, hotel staffs were friendly and service is good.

Since pandemic this wonderful hotel has been by far the best staycation we've had! Food outlets and mall were nearby, the facilities were made available without any hassle! Everything was smooth from arrival to check out! Staff were all friendly and accomodating, breaskfast was great! And the cleanliness was superb! We will surely come back for more! :)))⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Skyline Room was a great exchange for my Mint Premier after I gave feedback about the bad condition of the room. Great service recovery by the team and elite recognition was nice even though stay was booked via an OTA. Strategic location. Walking distance to shopping mall and train station. Good to also have a 24/7 gym and Olympic sized swimming pool
