The Astoria Hotel is situated of a dirt track and your cases arrive by a Luggage Truck and collect by a Luggage Truck when flying home. It is situated behind a building that was started may years ago and not finished, so derelict. Directly opposite is a mini Supermarket, Gyro place and the Bus Stops either side of the road and just short stroll to beautiful Troulos Beach. The Hotel has great friendly staff. The pool and bar area are both superb, my only gripe is there are only three parasols around the pool (one is completely in shade all day long by the bar, it should be directly opposite). Apparently there are some on order, but I've been told they we're on order last year and the year before that! The Breakfast is average only three hot items (bacon is cut in to small squares, sausages are mini frankfurters), but you get tea, coffee, orange juice, toast, Greek yoghurt, cheese/ham, etc. The Rooms have air con 9 euro per day, Safe 20 euro per week, plenty of hanging space and hangers, two bedside drawers, wet room bathroom (it gets really wet), shower is powerful (but be careful it doesn't fall off as the wall fixing really loose), constant hot water, super comfy bed. The hairdryer in the wet room is not very powerful and takes ages to dry your hair and therefore gets extremely hot, too hot to handle. The WiFi at this hotel is poor. Overall we had a great holiday, we've stayed in the Troulos area many times at various hotels. We would go back to the hotel, just a few things need updating.

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Great location for beach and restaurants. Lovely new sun beds arrived whilst we were here, along with new side tables and plenty more umbrellas! Pool is gorgeous too. Love this place.

Ok I want to first say how fabulous the staff are at this hotel, the breakfasts are very good and the breakfast staff very nice., the hotel is clean throughout.BUT now why I will never return, If you are taller than 5’ 8” you will have trouble walking in the room the doorways are very very small my husband banged his head the first day, he is tall but is used to ducking but this is ridiculous,our room we renamed “the cell” it was so small a prisoner would have more room, there was not any privacy in our room at all , no wardrobe , no drawers just shelving and a rail , just like Greece 30 years ago! . The bathroom was ridiculous again tiny the shower is very small and no shelf for personal stuff. And now my biggest bug bear the pool , there were 36 sunbeds and four sun umbrellas! I found this appalling especially in this day and age of rising skin cancer , the rep told me they were on order and I didn’t believe that for a moment, to round up my review this hotel has fab staff and its very clean, but extremely dated and the pool is just irresponsible. I wouldn’t want to stay here with young children. Because of the lack of shade Troulos is a lovely place great restaurants and beach nearby and a great bus service, we will be back but unfortunately not to the Astoria

I’ll start by saying we obvious picked the wrong week! Major essential flood defence work going on adjacent to the hotel (Government work) and pressure washing, welding and construction work being carried out at the hotel. Why oh why would you start all this at the beginning of your tourist season that only lasts 5 months? Not conducive to a quiet relaxing holiday Having read glowing reviews on this hotel we were anticipating great things. It’s a short walk from the beautiful beach at Troulos and within easy reach of many great restaurants. The room and facilities are adequate but not amazing. Our room faced the sea and you can’t relax on the balcony as there’s a constant drone from pump room located in the hotel garden. Warning - the bathroom gets flooded when you have a shower in the slightly recessed area and the hot water trickles out. The breakfast was bland and repetitive, with tinned peaches as the only fruit every morning. There was a choice of three hot foods (alternating fried or scrambled eggs, bacon or sausages and baked beans) 3 cereals, continental cheese and meat and bread with a toaster and hot drinks dispenser. As the hotel state it’s ‘free’ I suppose you cannot complain. On a plus side, the lunchtime food is nice and the cocktail bar offers an extensive range of cocktails. Many visitors were regulars so they obviously enjoy returning, but we definitely won’t be.

Lovely little hotel, literally 200 m from the beach. Very friendly staff, lovely clean rooms with balcony. Rooms have tv, hairdryer, fridge, safe & aircon. We booked through loveholidays so didn’t have to pay the €8 per day extra. Breakfast was great…scrambled or fried eggs, beans, bacon. Greek yogurt, fruit, nuts & honey. Toast/jam. Lovely coffee machine too. Pool area was clean and ample beds free to sit and soak up the sun. Troulos beach is literally a 5 min stroll and supermarket on corner for drinks/snacks etc. Beach was very peaceful. Beds €20 for two which was standard. Troulos Taverna was very reasonable and did a superb lunch for around €7. We ventured to Koukanris beach on the last day. You can get a bud for €2 but we walked the 2k which is a 30 min walk. Well worth it as it is stunning and has good facilities. Beds were also 2 for €20. Great restaurants close by. Victoria was superb & enjoyed the food and Greek night at Salt & Pepper. Overall a fantastic holiday, so relaxing & the hotel was a perfect location. 5/5.

Excellent little hotel. Staff are really friendly. Probably the friendliest most helpful we have ever experienced. Reception cant do enough for you. Bar area is nice serving good quality products. Clean hotel. Ideally located near local tavernas. Near main road which can produce some traffic noise, but great for hopping on the bus.

We loved our stay at Astoria. The whole staff team are really friendly and there is a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast was simple but delicious, location is incredible - next to the bus stop and just a five min walk to Troulos beach which we loved. The pool area is gorgeous, plenty of beds and really clean. The bar area was a real highlight for us, we loved coming back to it after dinner to play cards and chat with other guests. Our room was on the smaller side; but with a lovely balcony with views over the gardens and they are cleaned daily. It is a gem of a hotel and we will definitely be back!

A beautiful hotel in a brilliant location right next to bus stop 20 and another 2 minutes walk and your on troulos beach! Breakfast was great and lovely friendly staff. Nice view of pool from large balcony - would highly recommend and will return.
