Extremely unprofessional and disturbing experience. On September 10th, my husband went downstairs for breakfast and a kitchen employee actually watched how many pastries he took, then took the food he had set aside for our family of five, claiming there was a one-per-person rule. There was no clearly posted sign stating this. When I went downstairs to address the issue, instead of handling it professionally, the employee cursed at us, yelled in our faces, called my husband a liar, and became extremely confrontational. Another woman joined in and got in my face while I was holding my 2-month-old baby. My mother had to step between us because the situation felt like it was about to become physical. The employee then involved her husband and had him threatening my husband during the argument. After provoking and escalating the situation, the hotel called the sheriff's department and had us removed before checkout. All of this over BREAKFAST PASTRIES. Management should absolutely review the security footage from September 10th around 8:20 a.m. before making any assumptions about what happened. Paying guests should never be treated this way. We came to stay at a hotel—not to be cursed at, intimidated, threatened, and treated like criminals over breakfast.
