JJohnTingFirstly the reason why my wife and I decided on this boutique hotel was to sample the overall standard of the new crop of small locally operated boutique hotels springing out over China.
Generally happy with our choice and decision.
We were greeted upon checking in and daily when we went out and coming back by the young man who was managing the establishment.
A great personal touch was that he actually came out of his office and greeted us at the courtyard with a ready smile.
Location was good as it was relatively near to Longmen Grotto and also the famous lamb soup for breakfast (we were given complimentary vouchers for our first day breakfast by the hotel. Although the place was across the road from the hotel, we had to walk about 1.1km each way as the crossing could only be made at the traffic light zebra crossing.
One ”romantic” feeling my wife and I had was hearing the low rumbling of the freight train transversing across the hotel. It reminded us of staying in the English countryside and hearing the train in the distance.
Light sleepers might find this distracting but we are h
eavy sleepers.
Another selling point of this hotel was the well manicured courtyard planted with lots of different varieties of flowering plants and trees.
It was an excellent place for us to relax in the late afternoon after some heavy sightseeing.
The only downside and hopefully the hotel operator can improve is that the floor of the room seems to be a bit dusty because the floor towel in the washroom started to show stains of dust.
However, everything else is clean especially the important items like bedding and towels.
Strawberries were bought after visiting Erlitou Archaeological Museum and Site

IInvité✨ Mon séjour a été absolument divin ! La chambre était impeccable, comme après un nettoyage en profondeur. Les draps étaient sans le moindre pli, le drain de la salle de bain ne dégageait aucune odeur et l'eau chaude arrivait instantanément. Même les articles de toilette étaient dignes d'un spa, avec des parfums envoûtants. 🌿 La fenêtre donnait sur un jardin paisible, et l'insonorisation était parfaite, j'ai dormi comme un bébé jusqu'au matin ! La réceptionniste, avec son sourire radieux, m'a gentiment surclassé et m'a même offert une carte de bienvenue manuscrite 📝. Pour le dépôt de bagages, ils ont eu la délicatesse d'y apposer mon nom. IInvitéProblem 1. I arrived at the hotel shortly after 4pm on the checkin day but learned that the room was not available. They rented it out for the hourly rental and told me that the guest just checked out and would take 20 minutes to clean the room for me. I was stuned! As the check in time is 2pm, how could they rent the room out without knowing it was reserved for nightly rental and it only took 20 minutes to clean a room? This kind of operatons is not acceptable. Though the staff was friendly and apologizingly to provide me another type of room, the bed size ( twins) and the window view (no view) were all different and not better. At first I considered to switch what they offered at the time of my arrival because I was very tired. But then I decided to wait because the new room was not better.
Problem 2. At night, when I took a shower, I realized that the water stored in the shower floor like a little basin. It didn't and couldn't get complete dry even till next morning. See photo. The moles have alreay formed a cycle for a period of the time, but the hotel didn't fix it and still rented it.
Problem 3. Another day, I couldn't turn the heater on. The staff then told me they turned the heater off at the end of March.
I will NOT recommend this hotel to other travelers.

YYuanweichunÉquipements : Très complets, avec lave-linge et sèche-linge disponibles gratuitement. La pression de l'eau dans la salle de bain était un peu faible. L'espace commun est assez grand, avec une machine à mah-jong, un billard et un espace vidéo. C'était plutôt agréable, peu fréquenté et relativement calme.
Propreté : Assez propre.
Environnement : Globalement bien. On peut voir Mingtang Paradise depuis l'entrée de l'auberge. La station de métro est à quelques centaines de mètres, et il y a des parkings à vélos partagés à proximité, ce qui est très pratique.
Service : 24h/24 et 7j/7. La réceptionniste était très patiente et accueillante. Globalement, c'était bien, avec des options adaptées à vos besoins. Très bon rapport qualité-prix.

IInvitéLes chambres familiales que nous avions réservées étaient immenses, avec deux grandes chambres et une plus petite qui servait d'aire de jeux idéale pour les enfants. Chaque chambre était équipée d'un système de chauffage/climatisation réglable. Les lits étaient confortables et les couettes bien épaisses. Seul bémol : l'absence de mini-frigo. De plus, il n'y a pas d'ascenseur, il faut donc monter plusieurs étages à pied. J'ai communiqué avec le gérant par traduction WeChat. À notre retour, quelqu'un nous attendait toujours, ce qui était très rassurant pour un séjour chez l'habitant. Ils s'assuraient que nous étions en sécurité et vérifiaient même le paiement de notre course.
L'établissement se trouvait au fond d'une ruelle juste en face de Yongtianmen. Il fallait marcher un peu depuis la station de métro, et la rue était trop étroite pour y accéder en voiture. Nous avons donc trouvé très pratique d'utiliser les tuk-tuks à trois roues qui nous déposaient directement devant la porte. Le prix était entre 10 et 20 CNY. La rue était bordée de boutiques de hanfu et de nombreuses petites épiceries où nous pouvions acheter des en-cas et des boissons fraîches. Étrangement, nous n'avons pas trouvé de bière fraîche ! Ils ont dit que ce n'était pas encore la saison pour le col.
Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé un excellent séjour ! C'était l'occasion de vivre au sein d'une communauté locale, une expérience différente de celle d'un hôtel classique.

IInvitéCet hôtel est fantastique et le propriétaire est incroyablement patient. L'hôtel est d'une propreté irréprochable, avec un ménage quotidien. Son emplacement est idéal, à proximité de nombreux sites touristiques ! L'insonorisation est excellente et j'y ai très bien dormi. Après mon départ dans l'après-midi, une consigne à bagages gratuite était disponible, ce qui était vraiment très pratique. Je reviendrai sans hésiter lors de mon prochain séjour à Luoyang ! ^O^

Good point.
1. Less than 5mins walk to Longmen Grottoes.
2. Not far or expensive if to grab a taxi to nearest metro station Balitang.
3. Clean, comfort, modern room setup with sufficient plug points with USB to easy charging.
4. The water heater is ok, just wait for 1 or 2min for it to get warm all good.
5. Room that has actual towel, and not disposable is real comfort.
6. U can ask and pay for breakfast, at 10rmb the reception. Staff will takeaway and send to your room in the morning. 3 menu for selection. Realy good enough.
7. Reception also has, affordable rate and experience driver to some nearby places, Shaolin Temple. Note: Laozun mountain not for foreign tourist.
Very honest driver as they are reliable from the hotel.
8. If you stayed more than 2 nights get a free 1 way to Luoyang Longmen railway station.
9. The room design is new and has all the basic amenities.
10. Glad to made the choice for a stay here, highly recommends to stay here and

La réception a dit que c'était 24 heures sur 24, mais vous devez appeler quelqu'un pour venir. Je n'ai vu personne depuis mon arrivée.
Ils nous ont aidés à porter nos valises à notre arrivée (l'hôtel n'a pas d'ascenseur). Pas terrible au moment du départ !

It’s also tucked away in a quiet area, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring Luoyang.
The convenience of nearby shops and eateries was a huge plus. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a more traditional meal, you'll find plenty of options just outside the door.
In terms of value, the cost was more than reasonable for the high-quality stay we received. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. I was especially impressed by the integration of AI technology in the room, which added a modern touch to the experience.
One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service. The owner was genuinely kind and welcoming — he helped carry our luggage to the room and was always ready to assist with a smile. His knowledge of Luoyang's history added a personal and enriching touch to our trip.
