My stay with the ibis hotel was somewhat mixed with both positive and negative. On a positive, the accessible room that I had booked was of a good size and the main bedroom area was clean. The staff on arrival were helpful and provided me with all necessary information upon check in. Sadly, I was disappointed when ordering from the hotel resturant. My son wanted a pizza and the menu provided a list of three types. When ordering, I was told that there was only one type which wasn’t listed on the menu. I found the food to be of substandard which is disappointing given the price. Equally on check out, I advised that the bathroom had a build up of dirt and hair around the shower tray. I was told “apologises, this is a housekeeping issue”. I voiced my disappointment regarding the food to just be told “sorry”. Lastly I expressed my disappointment that I was charged £12.99 per person for a breakfast buffet. I felt this was a bit steep considering my under 5 ate half a croissant. The front desk only advised that usually they did not charge for under 5’s and would need to take this up with the app I booked to is stay through. No solution or refund were offered.

Had a great 2 night weekend stay in Holiday Inn Express Theatreland over the Easter weekend. We had stayed before so knew it was central for everything.Hotel room was lovely, as were the staff downstairs. The breakfast was hectic on the Sunday morning, we sat in the overspill dining room across the corridor as the main dining room was packed.The weather wasn't great and woke up to snow on Easter Sunday morning, but cleared up before lunchtime. 4 seasons in a morning 😎

Overall a nice hotel with decent breakfast. Shower was good but needed a bath mat as bath/shower was slippery. Liked size of the room but TV barely worked with the signal, only radio would work without flickering. Main bad point for the review was there’s parking on the back of the hotel which only was available if left your car there the whole time. I went down the alley behind 3 times and got 2 punctures, 1 meaning a new tyre was needed which cost more than my stay at the hotel. Staff were nice but having to spend £132 on a new tyre and £20 on a puncture repair in 2 days from the alley didn’t make it ideal at all.

Chambre spacieuse et bien située, avec salle de bain confortable et décoration moderne. Joli bar-café où nous avons dégusté une pizza et passé un agréable moment. Personnel jeune et poli, toujours prêt à répondre à vos besoins. Bon petit-déjeuner copieux et savoureux, à condition d'arriver assez tôt pour que tout soit prêt et qu'il fasse encore chaud. Globalement, nous avons passé un excellent séjour et nous y retournerions avec plaisir. Un arrêt de bus se trouve quasiment devant l'hôtel, ce qui est très pratique avec une valise.

Hampton by Hilton, Glasgow Central is located on West Campbell Street and this truly is right in the heart of the city centre! Located just around the corner from the bustling shopping street of Sauchiehall Street, you’ve got everything you need at your disposal within walking distance of this hotel! Even Glasgow’s Central station is just a short 10 minute walk away - ideal if you’re coming in from another such as Liverpool like I was! A double room in this hotel is a fair size. To maximise on the space, Hampton by Hilton have removed wardrobes and cupboards and have replaced them with walk-in spaces. It works - the L shaped room can feel a little cosy at first, but once you’ve passed through the corridor, the main area where the bed and TV is feels quite spacious. The breakfast provided - which is free for all guests - is to a great standard. Make sure you try out the fresh waffles which come as standard in Hampton by Hilton hotels. The breakfast area isn’t huge though, so if you come around 8.30/9am, space might be limited! There’s also a fitness suite in the hotel which has a good range of equipment available. No windows in there though! Some areas for improvement - the room could do with a bit of refurbishment as the furniture is looking quite tired in parts and there are a lot of scratches and dirty marks on the walls. The room is very functional rather than a luxurious stay. Having said that, Hampton by Hilton is not marketing itself as a luxury brand. It’s firmly in the budget hotel bracket, probably at a similar standard to Premier Inn - which certainly isn’t a bad thing! Another thing to note - if you stay here during the weekend, it could be noisy. There are three nightclubs right near the hotel and on a Saturday night, the noise didn’t stop until 2.30am and this meant we didn’t get much sleep one night. However, the staff were very helpful when we flagged it with them the next morning and gave a credit for a free night’s stay at any Hampton by Hilton! All in all, this hotel is a good base to stay whilst exploring Glasgow. It’s functional, it does the job and you’re going to be well fed during breakfast. True, there are areas for improvement, but this shouldn’t impact your overall experience too much!

L'hôtel est confortable, moderne et calme, situé à flanc de colline. L'enregistrement s'est fait sans problème et le séjour a été très agréable. Il faut environ dix minutes en train depuis la gare, et le trajet à pied jusqu'à l'arrêt de la navette aéroport 500 implique de monter et descendre des collines, ce qui peut être fatigant avec des bagages. La gare routière est à environ dix minutes à pied. Dans l'ensemble, c'est un bon hôtel.

L'emplacement est fantastique et offre le minimum. Cependant, l'établissement est vraiment vétuste. Il n'a pas été rénové depuis un certain temps (fissures, défloraison, mobilier peu élégant, etc.) et manque d'équipements modernes : absence de robinet d'eau chaude et froide, pas de climatisation, téléviseur très ancien, etc. Le personnel est variable : certains sont très aimables et serviables, d'autres se contentent de leurs appels personnels et laissent leurs clients attendre, ou ne sourient pas du tout. Si vous recherchez un hôtel simple, d'un bon rapport qualité-prix et central, cet hôtel pourrait être une excellente option.

It was a tiny room with a tiny bathroom but it was exactly what I expected and all I needed for a night in Glasgow. All of the staff were lovely and so helpful. I enjoyed my stay!

Le personnel est agréable, mais il est vraiment désagréable dans d'autres zones. Le lit était frais, mais le bureau était fermé, le tapis semblait pas être déchiré depuis des semaines et quand je suis allé plier dans mon téléphone au côté du lit, il y avait les restes de la peperami de quelqu'un qui était sur le sol. La salle de bain avait un marquage brun sur le siège de la loo (qui nous avons nettoyé!) Et le sol de la loo était couvert de cheveux noirs longs. Je suis blonde en platine et mon ami a longtemps coloré les cheveux rouges ... Nous avons dit la réception qui nous a offert de comp nous petit déjeuner mais nous avions déjà payé pour cela, ils ont juste pris le retour. Nous avons demandé un panneau de fer et de fer, et ils étaient vraiment des appareils pieux. Oh et pendant le petit déjeuner, la machine à café était complètement brisée et était prise séparé ...

Excellent hôtel et emplacement chaleureux, propre et accueillant. Près de la voiture, du train et du bus. Les gens qui travaillent ici sont exceptionnels. Merci. Je l'ai recommandé aux autres.
