We had a wonderful stay at Greenland Villa. It is perfectly located right next to the Kithal Ella train station, from which you can directly board the famous train that goes through the nine arch bridge. The property was beautiful, very well equipped with everything we needed including a great kitchen. It was clean, well ventilated, and more importantly it felt like home. The owner took time to decorate it with great taste. On top of that he was such a humble and polite person.Upon arrival he gave us a ride to get our groceries; another day he brought us his homegrown vegetables, which was such a nice gesture. Having said that, there were a couple of issues that needed to be addressed. The WiFi connection was not great, probably because of the location, but we struggled with it. And the breakfast was very carb-heavy, which may work for you but wasn't particularly to our liking. Nonetheless, We would book it again if I ever come back to Ella. We can only recommend Greenland villa highly.

This was my first time in this city and my stay here was amazing. It was incredibly peaceful and quiet, offering a full immersion in nature that you can't find in big cities. The atmosphere and accommodation were very private. The owners provided excellent service, making me feel like family. The rooms were large and spacious, not at all intimidating. On my arrival, I requested to try on traditional Sri Lankan clothing, and the accommodation provided it for me. I was extremely impressed.

Very good place to stay with awesome views. The staff took great care off us. Only downside to gaving good views the location is quite far from the city centre. So pick me and uber drivers won't take any rides since the app prices are way cheaper so no choice but to pay tourist fares. Room as an electric fan but AC would have been nice.

Il est un peu haut sur une colline, mais la vue de mon balcon était magnifique. Il est aussi juste de la rue principale, donc si vous ne vous en souvenez pas du trajet et du déplacement vous êtes encore relativement bien situé à proximité des bars et restaurants et magasins des bagpackers. Le petit déjeuner a eu beaucoup d'options locales sri-lankaines que j'apprécie beaucoup, et le personnel était également heureux d'expliquer chaque repas aux nouveaux arrivants. Une petite partie de conseils pour l'équipe : peut-être engager quelques employées ? Comme une femme voyageant seule, l'une des premières choses que j'ai notée était le personnel masculin tout-major, ou au moins, je n'ai pas vu une seule femme travaillant là dans mon séjour 2-night. Je n'ai pas de problème avec ça, mais les voyageurs de plus jeunes femmes solitaires pourraient être involontairement effrayés

Это пятый отель, в который мы заселились в Шри-Ланке и, честно говоря, самый лучший. Приятный запах свежего дерева, чистые, приятные номера, высокие потолки и хороший кондиционер. А главное - одеяла, не во всех отелях есть одеяла. Нас встретили очень приветливо, угостили кокосами. Единственный минус в этом отеле - слышимость соседей. Очень тонкие стены и ночью особенно неудобно, особенно если соседи ложатся спать поздно. Завтрак был очень вкусный и нам предложили попробовать вкусный традиционный завтрак из острой кокосовой стружки с овощами - очень вкусно. А еще здесь неплохой кофе и очень вкусный имбирный чай. В этот отель я обязательно вернусь, он оказался прекрасным дополнением к нашему визиту в Элла.

Dowa Elegance Resort is a peaceful retreat surrounded by beautiful nature. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is very kind and attentive, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxation. A great place to enjoy the beauty of Sri Lanka with warm hospitality.

L'hôtel est idéalement situé, près de la rue principale, avec ses boutiques et ses restaurants. Les chambres sont très spacieuses. Il y a cependant quelques inconvénients : 1. Notre chambre donnait sur la rue empruntée par tous les touristes pour rejoindre leurs hôtels situés au sommet. Le bruit des vélos et des tuk-tuks est très fort jusqu'à minuit, et peut également persister la nuit, avec une forte affluence dès 6 h du matin. Si votre chambre donne sur l'entrée centrale, je pense que c'est plus calme. 2. Les fenêtres de l'hôtel sont équipées de la climatisation naturelle : la partie supérieure est sans vitre, avec seulement une grille, ce qui permet d'entendre très bien ce qui se passe dans la rue. Les moustiques s'engouffrent dans cette grille, bien que le fumigateur soit allumé dans la chambre. Or, la première nuit, nous avons été piqués ; la deuxième, nous en avons allumé un autre juste à côté du lit, et tout s'est bien passé. 3. À Ella, la nuit, il fait environ +14 °C, donc la chambre est également froide à cause des ouvertures des fenêtres. Prévoyez des pyjamas et des chaussettes chauds. Les petits déjeuners sont copieux, variés et délicieux. Il y a un parking devant la maison et les propriétaires sont très sympathiques.

We stay here for 3 nights and it was a lovely experience! The rooms were clean and tidy, we got fresh towels each day and new bottles of water! They were happy to tidy the room each day which was the first time we had this on our whole journey in Sri Lanka so was a lovely extra touch for us but we were happy with just new towels and water! They are currently renovating downstairs to build a restaurant so we were a little confused when we first arrived but this did not take away from the experience of the hotel, the staff were super friendly and accommodating! The hotel is in the perfect location on the main road through Ella with bars, restaurants and shops everywhere! With the train station a short 5 min walk everything is accessible. We would 100% recommend to stay here for your trip to Ella

The room is large but not clean enough and without air con. The staff are helpful and friendly. For the location, it is next to the city centre so there are many restaurant nearby and there are many options that we can choose. However, the hotel is difficult to find and hair dryer, body wash and shampoo are not provided.
