I had a truly exceptional stay at Hotel Indigo Glasgow and felt compelled to share my experience because the level of service genuinely exceeded my expectations in ways I could hardly imagine. My check-in experience was incredibly seamless thanks to Erin. Having previously worked in a five-star hotel in St Andrews, I am very familiar with hospitality standards and how hotels usually operate. In many luxury properties, early check-in is rarely guaranteed. Guests are often asked to wait until the official check-in time, sometimes even until 4 pm depending on availability. I arrived at the hotel around 8 am after a long journey and thought I would simply ask, just in case. I had absolutely no expectation that a room would be available that early. To my surprise, Erin managed to arrange a room for me immediately, and there was no additional charge. I was sincerely grateful, as I had meetings to attend and it would have been very inconvenient to go into the office carrying a suitcase and backpack with my laptop and work materials. What stood out even more was Erin’s attentiveness. When I mentioned that I required a pet-free room due to allergies, she took the time to acknowledge this and explain how the hotel manages rooms for guests with allergies. I genuinely felt listened to, understood, and supported — never judged or dismissed. The cleanliness of the room was also excellent. Everything was immaculate, from the bathroom to the bedding and surfaces. As someone who pays close attention to hotel standards due to my own hospitality background, I could immediately see that the housekeeping team maintains a very high level of care — something that even some luxury five-star hotels occasionally fall short on. The room felt fresh, comfortable, and extremely well prepared. Later that evening when I returned to the hotel, I was assisted by Mark. Again, based on my previous experience in hospitality, I know that late check-outs in many hotels typically come with additional fees — often £24 for 1 pm, £48 for 2 pm, and sometimes up to £60–£100 for a 4 pm checkout. I asked for a late checkout expecting that, if I was lucky, it might be extended to 1 pm. However, Mark was very helpful and kindly extended it to 2 pm, which gave me plenty of time and was something I truly appreciated. Mark also assisted me in signing up for the rewards programme, and shortly afterwards I received the confirmation email. It really showed how organised, helpful, and considerate the front office team is. Another moment that really impressed me happened the following day. I briefly left the hotel before checkout and accidentally left my ID and wallet in the room. When I returned, Erin immediately recognised me from the day before. She confirmed my full name and email address and then extended my key card until 2 pm so I could access my room. Erin explained that normally the policy requires ID for that type of request, but on this occasion she used verbal confirmation because she remembered me from check-in the day before. 🩷 That level of attentiveness and professionalism is rare. It showed that the service was not simply about following procedures or ticking boxes, but about creating a genuine sense of comfort for guests and leaving a lasting impression. In all my interactions with Erin, she was enthusiastic, friendly, and supportive. The entire experience made the hotel feel welcoming and almost like a home rather than just a place to stay. Erin and Mark are a real credit to the team, and the service I experienced here honestly exceeded what I have seen in many luxury hotels. I would absolutely recommend Hotel Indigo Glasgow and will gladly stay again, especially as I will be travelling to Glasgow frequently over the next eight months.

Cute boutique hotel in a prime spot near Buchanan St and with some rooms overlooking George Square. We stayed in a studio with a balcony on the 7th floor, which had a great view, but was a little unhandy when the only elevator went out of service 3 of the 5 days during our stay. The room was spacious in terms of hotel rooms in the city centre, and well equipped with everything we might need in the kitchenette, plenty of storage space, good quality linens and towels, upscale toiletries, and a roomy bathroom with a nicely tiled shower. The staff were all very helpful, and did a good job of communicating with us when my husband's golf bag we had shipped over from the US preceded our arrival by a few days; they kept it in reception until we got there. Parking is a good distance away, and there is no good place to load/unload, though if you follow the instructions from Reception, you can get a discounted daily rate at the parking garage they recommend. The shuttle bus from the airport, subway, and, train station are within a few blocks, so you definitely don't need a car to get places within (and to a great extent without) the city. Honestly we loved this hotel, found it a good value for the price, and will definitely consider staying here again on a return visit to Glasgow.

L'hôtel est situé juste à l'intérieur de la gare, ce qui est très pratique. Vous pouvez simplement descendre quinze minutes à l'avance et prendre le train. L'impression générale est très historique, mais la pièce est en fait assez récente et très élégante. Pouce levé ! Le séjour le plus satisfaisant au Royaume-Uni (surtout comparé à Londres)

Français Le petit-déjeuner était mon moment préféré, il y avait tellement de choix et la machine à crêpes a tout simplement couronné le tout pour moi, le meilleur choix de petit-déjeuner que j'aie jamais eu ❤️ bien que je n'aie pas remarqué le petit panneau minuscule après avoir dit ”demandez-nous des saucisses végétaliennes” car étant végétarien, j'aurais certainement apprécié avoir une saucisse végétalienne avec mon petit-déjeuner au lieu de remarquer le panneau après car il s'agissait de toute la nourriture et je ne l'ai pas vu. Le matelas était confortable mais les oreillers étaient assez épais, donc nous nous sommes tous les deux réveillés avec une raideur de la nuque. Le cocktail gratuit était le meilleur cocktail qu'ils avaient sur leur menu, tous les autres cocktails étaient soit trop sucrés, soit amers. Le personnel semblait assez agréable au bar et certainement à l'enregistrement, les femmes de ménage méritent vraiment d'être mentionnées, tout l'endroit était très propre et bien rangé, je suis content d'avoir choisi de rester ici même si je pense avoir définitivement payé plus que le tarif normal car il y avait un événement à l'hydro auquel nous allions et j'étais tellement content qu'il soit si proche, donc le fait qu'il soit si proche m'a probablement évité de payer un taxi, donc j'ai pu me permettre de payer ce petit supplément pour la chambre.

L'accueil est toujours chaleureux dans cet hôtel, et le personnel est excellent. La nourriture est bonne et les installations sont très pratiques. La piscine est très relaxante.

I stayed for 1 night, The room was spacious and clean, and the shower was great. We wouldn't recommend the breakfast as it was buffet style so we didn't know how long it was sitting out for. Also quite tasteless. The hotel is lovely and quite central, staff friendly.

Hôtel charmant, idéalement situé. Le personnel était accueillant et le stationnement, tout près, était très facile. La chambre était spacieuse et moderne. Le petit-déjeuner était délicieux et nous y retournerions sans hésiter.

L'hôtel Marriott a mis à jour les chambres à un bon niveau. La salle de bain n'a pas été mise à jour et était très pauvre avec diverses zones sales (voir photos). L'un des serviettes de bains de la chambre avait un trou dans le salon. Il y a aussi une petite chaise dans la chambre, ce qui signifie que ma femme a dû s'asseoir sur le lit. La chambre est aussi une seule cuillère de thé. Ce n'est pas ce que je m'attendrais à l'hôtel Marriott !

While I can’t say I fully enjoyed my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton, that may partly be because we had just come from a really lovely hotel in Aberdeen, so my expectations were quite high, particularly regarding the housekeeping standards, given the hotel’s reputation and heritage. Unfortunately, the cleaning service and general room upkeep felt somewhat lacking during our stay. That said, it was still a good stay overall. The reception staff were fantastic, very professional, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The breakfast was decent as well, although we were unable to try many of the buffet options due to personal preferences and faith-based dietary restrictions. Overall, we enjoyed our time in Glasgow.
