Hôtels 4 étoiles à Oslo

Great hotel with good transport links (I think you have the metro, tram and bus all within 10 min walk) but it is worth mentioning that this is slightly out of the centre so it takes about 30 minutes to get in. For business travellers with offices around I guess that dosent matter but for tourists it might be slightly time consuming although the Ruter zone 1 transport pass does cover this so more on time rather than cost for transport here. Breakfast was splendid and I really enjoyed the spread and quality which I think is even better than other 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in Oslo and other parts of EU. Staff in breakfast was great, although reception staff was not the friendliest per se - professional though just not as friendly. I put a DND on my room door twice but both times housekeeping still came to clean my room so I’m not really sure if the signs mean anything. Amenities though was horrendous - nothing except poor quality towels and soap which were a let down. Overall good hotel but definitely more things could be done to achieve the maximum potential.

Definitely a busier part of town but we enjoyed being in the middle of it. Could see and hear the water fountains in the park from window. There is a little second level perch/balcony which was amazing to sit at during the evening sun while sipping some of the delicious white wine provided by hotel. Easy walk to the train stations and overall great location for walking to all of the places we wanted to go to. Beds were very comfortable and we had excellent sleep! Morning breakfast was amazing and had a very nice ambiance! I can’t believe the fresh juice station and health shots…America needs to step up the game as far as hotel breakfasts.

Le restaurant de l'hôtel peut descendre à la station de métro, très pratique, il y a un petit supermarché en bas, et il est très confortable de rentrer chez lui. Le petit déjeuner de l'hôtel est riche et le choix est beaucoup plus important, car le temps est allé tôt, la soeur de la réception est toujours enthousiaste de me rendre au restaurant pour prendre un café en avance et le service est en place.

Transport : Il se trouve à 8 minutes à pied de la gare et à quelques pas des attractions touristiques du centre-ville. Pour rejoindre le musée Qianjin et le musée folklorique, plus loin, prenez le bus 30. La gare se trouve à 3 minutes à pied de l'hôtel. Chambre : j'ai réservé une chambre familiale et l'hôtel m'a en fait donné une chambre communicante, soit deux chambres communicantes mais avec une seule salle de bain. Je ne sais pas si les autres chambres familiales sont identiques. L'hygiène est très bonne. Si vous souhaitez faire votre propre lessive, vous devez demander à la réception un bouchon pour l'évacuation du lavabo. Repas: Cet hôtel propose le petit-déjeuner et le dîner, et la qualité est plutôt bonne. Ils sont tous en libre-service. Seules les boissons gazeuses sont disponibles pour le dîner et le vin doit être commandé à la carte moyennant des frais supplémentaires. La variété du dîner est assez satisfaisante, avec essentiellement une variété d'herbes, de plats froids et de plats chauds. Il y a généralement deux plats, l'un de viande, l'autre de légumes et l'autre de soupe. Les fruits ne seront peut-être pas disponibles le premier jour de mon séjour, mais pas le deuxième jour.

L'hôtel est simple, mais propre. Le personnel est très utile. La position est facile à pied de la gare par le centre commercial, mais il n'est pas exactement près du centre des attractions. Le petit déjeuner est simple mais très agréable (aime vraiment leurs croissants). Appréciez également le petit déjeuner pack donné par l'hôtel pour nous; puisque notre train à Bergen est très tôt le matin 🙂

Highly recommended. The hotel is part of an old post office, located right behind a bus stop, 100m from a tram stop and 500m from Oslo Central Station. There are restaurants just downstairs or nearby. The room is large enough and well-equipped, with a washing machine, a big drying rack, a microwave and all utensils. There is a public room for (self-service, super convenient, pretty large space) luggage storage facilities and all the necessites (tea packs, towels, linens, and ear plugs etc., though it is quiet at night) Everything is done on app, including check-in/out and opening the doors. However, the door-opening function in the app doesn't work sometimes so you have to use code instead (there's no reception). Also, you have to go through some stairs at entrance and a winding passage to reach your room. The room is a little bit dark at night (even with all the lights on) for reading and writing. The TV is located in a weird position.

This is a great hotel to stay at on your trip to Bergen. The hotel has a fantastic location close to the water front and an easy walk to the tram, shopping, restaurants, among the many attractions. There are so many different places to eat and a wide variety of food to chose from. The hotel is staffed by very nice people who speak a variety of languages. There is free coffee and tea around the corner from the reception, and they have a small reception area with some seating to you can get a drink or just wait for friends to come down to the lobby. The breakfast, which opens at 6:30 is a dream! One of the best breakfasts I have seen in many years of traveling. The room are good sized, but that obvious depends on what you ask/pay for. We enjoyed out stay here immensely!

L'hôtel est situé à proximité du parc d'hiver d'Oslo, et il est idéal pour les skieurs comme moi. Bien qu'il prend environ 30 minutes par train pour atteindre le centre-ville, vous pouvez trouver difficile de quitter l'hôtel en raison de son magnifique scène. L'hôtel est propre et confortable, et j'ai particulièrement apprécié le café, le thé chaud et les pommes disponibles dans les zones communes. Le petit déjeuner inclus était très bon. Le seul dessous était que la chambre, surtout la douche, était un peu petite, mais il était parfaitement acceptable pour le prix.

For our stay, we booked a studio apartment at The Sweet. The room was lovely and kitchenette was well-equipped. We were able to cook meals there over the days of Christmas when most restaurants and shops were closed. The location is a little outside of the center- nice and quiet but easy to access public transit. My biggest issue with this hotel was that communication was very… odd. As the booking notes, I called the hotel in advance to schedule my check-in. When my call was answered, I told them who I was and that I was calling to schedule my check in (for a time when the booking said check in is available). I was told no one would be at reception at that time (3pm on Dec 23) and they would text me instructions for how to check myself in. Then she confirmed my phone number and asked for my email address, but when I started to give it, she said, “oh, that’s ok. We can’t use email anyway”. Odd. Before getting off the phone, I had her confirm that I would receive a text the next day with instructions to check in. Our train arrived around 2pm in Oslo and we still hadn’t received a text, so we waited at the train station thinking perhaps they would send the text right at 3pm since that was the time I had requested. At 3, I still hadn’t received anything, so we called the hotel again. A different employee answered from the one I had spoken to the day before. I gave my name and explained that I was calling because I had scheduled check in the day before but hadn’t received the information to check in. The employee asked where I was and told me that there were people staffing reception to help us check in, which I thought was odd because the previous employee told me no one would be there. When we got to the hotel, we rang the bell and got into the building, but reception is apparently in the basement- there is only a very tiny sign that says this- so we missed it and I called them again. A man came up with our keys and got us set to go. We got into our room and it was lovely! About 5 hours later, I got a call from Trip saying that the hotel is trying to contact me because they are wondering why I hadn’t checked in and they don’t have a way to get in touch with me. I was sitting in the hotel room when I got this call. I told the Trip representative that I was checked in and it was fine for her to give my phone and email to the hotel. I know the communication elements have taken up a huge portion of my review and I know they are not the end of the world, but I want to share them because I believe it would be quite simple to avoid situations like this in the future and make the guest experience that much more pleasant at The Sweet. We greatly enjoyed our stay at the hotel overall and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Oslo!

Myself and a group of HE students have returned home from a conference where we stayed in this hotel. The staff were really helpful and polite. Every morning we would ask for fresh towels at reception and these were either provided there and then or delivered to the room within 10 minutes of the request. The hotel is located around 10-15 minutes walk away from the marina, the tube station, royal palace. The students really enjoyed how central the hotel was to everything. Check in and out was smooth, and the rooms were clean. There was a QR code in the room to scan if you wanted the cleaner to come in on a daily basis.  There was a small selection of snacks in the reception area to purchase. On the other hand the breakfast variety was really good.  From fresh waffles and pancakes to cooked breakfast, cereal, yoghurt and fruit, fresh smoothies and juices.  Overall this hotel is great if you want a base to go and explore Oslo. I would recommend this hotel to a weekend away.
