Scandic Grand Central

Good location, central location with just few minutes walk from Arlanda express (train to airport). But there was odour coming from the toilet. And the staff opened our door without any notice around 8. Another staff also knocked on our door later when it’s still early. Overall neat room but some stains at the corners.

They position themselves as value for money, but not even close to that, see below. Plus, for the services they do not provide to you, of course they will themselves sustainable and environmentally friendly, although that is purely for profit! - Front staff: Not helpful and don't care about customers at all. Kindly ask if you can get an early check-in or when you can check-in at earliest, as it was a long flight, they remind you check-in times without trying to help at all. Thanks a lot, I didn't know the actual check-in time, so very helpful! The people taking care of the luggage were helpful! - Rooms: * Very basic and small rooms, small bathrooms. If you have 2 luggages, good luck with moving around in the room and putting your stuff in the closet (I had to name it closet but not really a closet). * Supposedly we stayed at a superior king room (room 5119), I believe king beds have a different size standard for Scandic hotels, it was not a king bed at all. * There is no A/C in the room, think twice, no A/C, meaning no proper heating! * Hence it was cold in the room in September, no matter what! But surely, they provide you with a paper telling that you can adjust your room's climate control by +/-2C from 20C; but our room never had reached 22C with that central fan system. At least, they are generous enough to provide you with a heating fan (see photo), how environmentally consious that is to provide an unefficient electric heating fan to help guests heat their rooms. I am sure putting in a proper central heating would be more environmentally friendly, but surely less profitable. * Room cleaning: Nothing impressive to be honest, as the rooms are very basic and you get very basic cleaning. * Last good news, I had seen a spider in room (see photos again) - Breakfast: Not sure why people praise it in reviews, breakfast was mediocore at best. Considering the standards of this hotel, maybe guests think that it was great. Only pro is that breakfast staff was helpful. Best thing about this hotel is its location and proximity to the train station.

We loved the breakfast at this hotel as it offers a large variety of different foods and drinks. Also the superior room was nice and spacious. We only had the feeling that the hotel is a bit dated and could be cleaned thoroughly (some mold in the shower).. all in all it was still very good.

整體入住體驗還不錯，雖然房間有點小，但斯京酒店整體比較小。前台熱情，入住非常順利。值得一提的是，早餐非常豐盛

Checking in at 3 pm is quite late, especially after arriving from an early flight at 9:15 am. I inquired about early check-in, and even though several other travelers arrived around the same time, it wasn't clear whether they booked through Trip.com or directly with the hotel. I found myself waiting around the hotel for nearly 2 hours in the hope of securing an early check-in. However, the response I received when I inquired about a room was, "You can return and check again if a room becomes available, but check-in time is at 3." I was exhausted and took my chances, waiting for almost 2 hours, and fortunately, a room became available. What surprised me was that the guest service at the front desk didn't proactively inform me when a room was ready, even though I was waiting in the lobby area, which is relatively small and not far from the counter. As for breakfast, it was decent, but I encountered a disappointing incident. I placed my food on the table and briefly left to get coffee, but upon my return, I found that the table had been cleared, including the fresh food I had taken. On the positive side, the hotel's location is quite convenient, being close to Central Station and within easy walking distance of various points of interest. Apart from the late check-in and the breakfast table issues, everything else about the hotel was satisfactory.

Good location and pleasant stay! Definitely will come back again!

Spacious room and located near airport express

Beautiful hotel and rooms, well maintained. Location is walking distance from the main attractions and also from the central station. Room has a big size. Breakfast has many options and it is good. I would definitely go back.
