Field View B&B

We stayed on the campsite in our Moho for a couple of nights. Cannot comment about the facilities as we didn’t use them (we are self contained). The initial welcome and all other interactions with the staff were warm, friendly and genuine. Added bonus was a simple breakfast delivered to our door on Sunday morning - thanks

We had arranged for an early breakfast and were told that it would be left in the fridge in the breakfast room. When we got there in the morning it was empty. I looked in the kitchen and found milk and orange juice and that was it. No cereal and no yoghurt. My room was a bit tired and there was a marathon runner in the room above!

Several nights here in recent years. Near to Yarm. Very friendly, helpful, welcoming, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast, good value all round. The downside might be the decor; a lick of paint is needed and much less use of dark wallpapers in smallish bedrooms - professional advice is needed. The carpet in the hallway needs re laying or replacing. Otherwise a very recommendable B&B. We'll be back!

We stayed in 2 rooms number 1 and 4. The rooms were quite tired looking. The carpets in places were quite worn especially on the stairs leading up to the room. I stayed in the twin room and the beds both made a noise each time we changed position. It appeared the problem was the the wooden slats below the matress and the wooden head board. As we were only staying the one night and were in a rush to get to an event we did not mention this as we left. The door handle to our bedroom door for some reason was dettached on both sides. In the other room number 1 there had obviously been a leak at some point near the shower as there was black mould marks around the skirting board. To be fair the breakfast was pretty good for the price charged overall. Just a shame about the rooms we stayed in.

Great location, close to railway station, walking distance to races and yarm. Friendly couple, and fabulous breakfast. But unfortunately the stables apar**ent was very tired, and not the cleanest, the beds were uncomfortable, both of the showers leaked. bathroom fans don’t work. Smoke alarms Broken. Both bedroom mirrors cracked. Both hairdryers handed in, wires hanging out. Hole in the stained lounge ceiling. The place needs a deep clean.

Travelled up for work on Wednesday until Sunday but just had to write this review now, arrived early and the owners let me check in early to save me carrying my cases to the restaurant I was training in. Beds are extremely comfy and the kettle in the room is a delight in the evenings when you get back and fancy a quick brew. Breakfast really delicious full choice of juice and tea and coffee and the owners really are lovely nothing is too much trouble and always stop to chat. Overall a really pleasant independent B&B and well worth the visit easy access to the train station and to the high street if I could leave 10 stars I would!!!!
