Avis : Sonnien Hotel

Un peu excentré mais la vue est top. Des quartiers sympa tout autours mais il faut marcher. La chambre est belle et très spacieuse.

L'emplacement était pour moi le principal argument de vente, ainsi que le personnel amical et serviable.

The hotel is located in the center of the city. The area is considered a wealthy area, next to Da-An District Police Station which makes it extra safe. The area is mainly residential, not as busy as nearby other shopping districts, but close enough to enjoy shopping, it is also within walking distance to Da- An City forest Park where local residents and to tourists enjoy. The slight downside for travelling is only buses running through; the closest MRT station is about 10 minutes walking which is not too bad. My room was big and clean; the house keepers changed the dirty towels every day. The hotel doesn't provide tooth brushes or toothpaste. The one thing to consider as a little disappointing is that breakfast; normally the hotel at this level provides at least 3-4 different fruits to choose from, but here only 2 (mainly citrus fruits; this is a bit poor to consider Taiwan is such fruit heaven); there are no pastries besides breads; the western fried eggs are far too watery. I gave the service 4 stars only because the staff serving breakfast looks bored and not happy in the morning. Also clean the table while you are still consuming your food which is not professional. In general, I still enjoyed the stay and would like to return again in the future.

Fairly decent hotel with breakfast. The location is acceptable, within walking distance to the mrt. Carpeted floors are not the cleanest but slippers are provided. Some rooms are oddly close to the service elevator.

This is a great hotel. Location is nice (around 10-15mins walk from the train station). Room is large enough and view is nice. Toilet has no bidet and no fancy toilet bowl buttons but very tidy. The best part is the breakfast. It has good spread and makes the price all worth it. They were also nice enough to keep our luggages even after we checked out so we could go to tourists spot and went back in the evening.

Room is spacious. Bathroom spacious. Toilet with bidet and has a separate shower area and a big bathtub. Location is average. Within Da'An but not exactly near to metro and limited F&B outlet nearby. 1st hotel in Taiwan that I stayed that front desk / service staff did not greet guests when they enter (not attending to check-in/out and not on the phone). Front office staff forgot to give morning call at required time. Luckily he remembered 20mins later.

Very clean room, including shower area. The bed and pillow are all comfortable, above my expectation. But I was rudely awakened by sound of door banging; just one instance and possibly just very inconsiderate neighbour.

Overall excellent. Maybe just one point to improve, breakfasts are just the same day after day, a little bit change each day will make life less boring....

They are not offering too much in house dining need to improve for night snack perhaps hook up with some restaurants for delivery

Overall the stay is pleasant and safe as the police station is just beside the hotel. The room is spacious and clean. But the breakfast provided is a little disappointing as it serves the same food every day.

Room is neat and tidy. Special arrangement for late checkout (12 noon) due to renovation work between 4-7am

Location is great , room is clean and the breakfast is delicious. Unfortunately the front office team is not as helpful as I expected. Overall I can’t complain much . Still recommend traveller to stay :)
