Caro & Selig, Tegernsee, Autograph Collection

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in January, 2024. It was one of the very best experiences we had while staying in Germany! The room, food, amenities property and location were incredible with gorgeous mountain and lake views. What was most impressive, however, was the staff - all of them! I would like to specifically commend Marcus - the young man at the desk who took time and went out of his way to help us on several occasions. In addition, the staff in the roof NI BAR (rooftop terrace bar), including (I believe) the manager were absolutely fantastic! He arranged for an exceptional romantic evening with a wonderful fondue dinner inside the cozy heated glass house on the rooftop. The views at sunset were spectacular and the twinkling lights in the dark were magical! The breakfast food and service in the Freyheit Restaurant was one of the best of any Autograph that we have stayed at (and they are all pretty amazing). We were impressed beyond belief and thank them for creating some of the best memories of a lifetime!

The interior decoration of the brand new hotel is fascinating and every individual staff is super attentive and welcoming. We felt so welcomed in every part of the hotel we visited: the front desk, the bell service, the restaurant, rooftop bar & house keeping. When we need help at the cable car station, the hotel staff quickly responded and provided assistance that I appreciate. We booked a suite with lake view and the view is indeed stunning. I truly think we got assigned the room with the best view. I would recommend to spend a bit more to book a room with lake view as it is really worth it. Breakfast spread is decent and one can order egg & sweet dishes from the kitchen. The French toast is the best option. Well done, Caro & Selig team and thank you for the warm hospitality during my short visit.

Beautiful hotel and room. I was upgraded to a suite (great titanium status recognition) and loved all the minimalist and modern and high tech furniture. The hotel branded bag with hotel branded flip flops is a nice touch. Beautiful sauna area and amazing pool with lots of relax area. The gym is also clean with full functions. Rooftop bar is great for sunset watching. Nice food and wine selections. Location is perfect. 5 mins walk from train station and 10 mins walk to the lake side shops and restaurants. Breakfast has good food and restaurant space is beautiful and calming. Staff is friendly and helpful. These are all 5 star areas. Housekeeping is a bit mediocre. Only made bed and replaced towels. So to me this is sufficiently good. There is some issue with the rooftop bar service which made me take one star off. I sincerely hope management can fix it soon before it comes a more widespread problem.

A brand new resort an hours train ride from Munich hbf. I booked this place as I needed to spend a night before I headed to Munich and most of the marriott hotels at Munich were overpriced coz of oktoberfest. Lovely hotel, just a couple of minutes walk from the Tegernsee station. Big room by European standards. Check in was smooth, Siva was very helpful in listing the services. Buffett breakfast was good. They had a lovely sauna and a heated pool. Nothing to complain of. I stayed there for a night, but ideally meant for atleast 3 nights.

We spent two glorious nights at the resort. The hotel is contemporary, spacious, and well situated. The breakfast was first rate! We wish we stayed longer. This is a beautiful town. We had a chance to walk down to the lake and briefly take in the sights but this is an area that deserves more time. We had a car and spent a day hiking around Neuschwanstein and Howenschwangau in the morning followed by Highline 179. The hotel staff provided excellent service. The amenities in the room were lovely.

Stylish new hotel with a stunnig view to the lake. The roof-top bar offer chill-out seat and is a perfect spot for wtaching the sunset. Excellent breakfast and friendly servers. Nice modern rooms with balcony. Parking in beasement costs 24 € per day.

Great location, breath taking views and a short walk to the lake and the mountains. We were especially impressed with the staff competence and their hospitality. Tried the hotel restaurant and the roof top bar, both places exceeded our expectations, Kudos to hotel leadership and management staff. Highly Rated!

Hier fühlt man sich wohl. Sehr nette, engagierte Mitarbeiter, besonders am Empfang (junger Mann aus Bonn) und im Frühstücksservice. Es wird jeder Wunsch erfüllt. Wir kamen ohne Reservierung und haben ein traumhaftes Zimmer erhalten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren im Juni 2023 kurz nach der Eröffnung im Frühjahr 2023 für ein Wochenende Gäste des Marriott Hotels aus der Autograph Collection. Grundsätzlich hat es uns recht gut gefallen- es gibt Stärken & Schwächen- daher unsere Einschätzung nach den verschiedenen Hotelbereichen: - Lage: gut, mitten in Tegernsee, nahe zum Bahnhof und zum Brauhaus, See und Hauptstraße gut erreichbar. Trotzdem recht ruhig. Aber: sehr enge Bebauung mit Wohnungen, Apartments & Hotel und wenig Grün. Uns war es zu eng! - Check-In/ Check-Out: Freundlich und problemlos! - Parken: Komfortabel, aber teuer (24.- pro Tag). Tiefgarage schon reichlich verschmutzt. Beim Einfahren muss man sich leider immer wieder neu bei der Rezeption melden. Vlt. erklärt dies den Preis ;-)- es gäbe modernere Lösungen. -Zimmer: alles so schön neu hier! Das Zimmer hat uns gut gefallen. Holzboden, helle & moderne Einrichtung sowie gute, individuelle Beleuchtungslösungen. Großer Fernseher mit ausreichend deutschen Sendern. Holz-Balkon mit 2 Stühlen und kleinen Tisch. Das Beste: ein großes, super komfortables Bett mit schöner Bettwäsche. Die Aussicht aus dem Zimmer ist abhängig von der Lage des Zimmers. Zimmer 114 war ok- man konnte den See erahnen- höher ist jedoch wahrscheinlich auch besser. - Gastronomie: wir waren nur in der Rooftop-Bar- und da hat es uns im Außenbereich sehr gut gefallen. Einmalige Aussicht auf den Tegernsee, passende Musik, entspannte & positive Atmosphäre, freundlicher Service sowie unterschiedliche, angenehme Sitzmöbel. Ja, etwas sehr teuer- aber die Aussicht muss halt auch bezahlt werden. Der Innenbereich der Bar hat uns leider nicht so gut gefallen. Hier finden wir Einrichtung und Lichtkonzept nicht optimal- also romantisch oder auch gemütlich ist es so nicht! Weitere Erfahrungen zur Gastronomie können wir nicht beitragen, da wir auf das Frühstück aufgrund des Preises (35.- p.P.) verzichtet haben. - Wellness-Bereich: Klein, aber fein. Gutes Design. Grundsätzlich alles da: 2 Saunen, Dampfbad, kleiner Pool und ausreichend Handtücher. Zumindest aktuell alles neu & gepflegt. Sogar kleiner Außenbereich- doch dieser lädt weniger zum längeren Verweilen ein- man liegt in einer Häuserschlucht wie in der Großstadt. Für ein kurzes Saunieren und Schwimmen absolut in Ordnung, für einen längeren Aufenthalt nicht geeignet. Wiederkommen? Ja, wir würden wiederkommen- wenn der Preis passt und der aktuell gute Zustand möglichst lange beibehalten wird.
