Lovely welcome, friendly and attentive new team. Rooms are clean and comfortable for a weekend away. Food was nice and fresh and clearly all home made. A good selection of beers very enjoyable countryside break. Nice views from room 4. Will definitely use again.

Great location and pub . Accommodation was spotless and of a very high standard . Extremely comfortable bed and we slept soundly . Had a great view over fields and a little veranda to sit out on . Great value breakfast which set us up for the day ! Shame no foid in the evening at present but hopefully that will change soon . All staff very friendly and extremely helpful . We'll be back again when we're next in the area . Can highly recommend.

We had a lovely lunch here with very attentive service from Rishabh and the chef. Our three 'festive' meals were the salmon, the beef and the turkey, and all were excellent as were the desserts. I would definitely recommend this pub.

We stayed here overnight and had a super evening meal. The place is under new management and they are working hard to make it a good experience. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, the room was comfortable and the evening meal was a bit better than good pun food but very reasonably priced. We recommend the Indian sharing platter for starters, curry was great and the chef can cook a really good English style fish and chips too! Will definitely be returning on another trip.

Ed the bartender has excellent customer service and is an asset to the pub. The locals are friendly and welcoming. The new owners are very accommodating. Organised a lift for us the following morning.

Shame as we have eaten here twice before and had super roasts. Today was not good. My husband had a steak pie & fries that was ok hence 2 stars I chose The Crook curry with chicken at extra cost. What arrived looked fine but was at best tepid, watery liquid with very little flavour or content Nan bread was dry cardboard, rice was fine. Even though hungry I ate only a small amount. I told the waitress and asked her to remove it from our bill. Upshot of that was a very rude women, manageress or owner telling me I should have returned the meal uneaten and should note this for the future. I pointed out that I had only eaten very little of it. She then had the nerve to suggest I went home and made something myself!! Note this for the future - you don’t have one for us.

Super food. The best chips I've ever tasted. Good value. It is so welcoming. Such a lovely staff. The wild mushrooms in toast in a creamy sauce were exceptional. It's in a very picturesque area of Hampshire too. We'll certainly go again.

Friendly service Good room, nice view, very good shower. Well presented and delicious dinner. Pub food and really good pub food at that. My home made pie with mash and greens was perfect and my wife’s Caesar salad with chicken and bacon was equally good.
