After reading all the other online reviews I decided to book a room here. When calling the premises (on two occasions) the phone rang 10 plus times before being answered. Obviously everyone has bad days and I’d like to say is true for this experience. However, upon arrival I was drilled by the lady for not having a smart phone to “sign in” to which I stated I’d be happy to fill out a form or do manually. After some grumbling I was told to use her tablet and manually sign in. No problem, she’s entitled to her views as I am to mine. The room: horrible mould smell, I found three full rolls of toilet paper under the sink with were sodden with water. (Cause of smell) took them outside to the bin. There was considerable dirt under beds and the shower rose had water squirting in every direction. As there was no cover to the fan in the bathroom, there were flies in the room all afternoon despite air conditioning on. I hope this was a one off. Lastly, the bed. Ouch! Springs I’m my back all night. Old and desperately in need of a new furnishings. I’ve stayed at another motel in Charters Towers and they were much cleaner, friendlier with nicer facilities all for the same price.
