This was a lovely boutique hotel with great attention to detail. Really nice breakfast was served, I couldn’t fault anything apart from at breakfast it would be nice to have a menu in English, as the lady asked us some questions which we couldn’t understand

From the initial booking of the hotel communication and the information provided was very good. The location for us was perfect as it was a stop over on the way to Santander. We booked as the hotel looked lovely, was dog friendly and had some very good reviews and we were certainly not disappointed. We parked up easily right outside and we received a genuinely warm welcome. The hotel is really very beautiful, well located with lovely views. I loved the traditional touches, vintage items in the lounge area and wonderful old photographs which I was told was of the owners family. Our room was so pretty, beautifully furnished with everything we needed and had the most comfortable bed ever! Although we did not arrive in time for lunch unfortunately, breakfast the next day was plentiful and very tasty. I would recommend this as a great place to stay and we will definitely visit again … hopefully my Spanish will be better next time!

Great views from our room which was reached by a lift the room was lovely with a modern shower and bathroom,and was spotless. Slept well and came down to an excellent breakfast of freshly cooked eggs and fresh orange juice and coffee with pastries and bread. Safe secure underground parking for 15€ a little high and awkward to park if you have a large car but that would be my only criticism of this lovely stopover.

We found Pasado de Eufrasio an excellent stopover en route from Santander. Situated in the cobbled streets of the heart of Lerma, this comfortable small hotel provides an excellent breakfast and renowned lunches, but there are no evening meals. Plentiful street parking adjacent to the hotel, and limited alternative evening dining is available in the small town. Mike & Mary

We stayed here one night in order to break a long drive across Spain and would have been happy to have stayed longer. The posada is in 2 parts. There is the bar/restaurant where you checkin and have breakfast or lunch. The rooms are located two doors down the street with a separate entrance. On the ground floor of this area there is a large guest lounge with a sunroom and great views of the surrounding countryside. There is an elevator. Our room was on the 2nd floor with a street view. It was compact but had everything we needed....a/c, digital tv, ceiling fan , mini fridge and an armoire for storage. Bathroom had a walkin shower. Everything was spotless...very very clean. The double bed was comfortable and the room was quiet...no street noise. We paid 8€ pp for a nice breakfast...perfectly cooked fried eggs. Also paid 15€ for underground parking..entrance is about 30m from hotel on the same street. Some of the turns going down are tight but you just need to take it slow and all will be well. Staff is friendly. A young man showed us the garage and then helped us with our bags back to our room...no tip was expected. The manageress spoke some english and was very welcoming. We have very little spanish but had no problem communicating with her. Great location...5 minute stroll to main square with bars and restaurants. The parador is very close by. An excellent value for money...clean, comfortable and welcoming...highly recommended

After the ferry to Santander we chose this place as a good place to break the journey down to Murcia. Attracted by being in an historic walled city, close to cafes etc. We arrived, to be told that the room was not available to us. They could have emailed me before we arrived but hadn't. Despite several other emails before our journey. These things happen but it is how it is resolved that is important. We were tired and stressed, wanting a meal and drink to unwind. We were offered a small house to stay in, 5km outside the town, with no nearby cafes or restaurants, No good for us. Then offered a small room in a flat, close to the town. We said we would just find another hotel but were told as it was holiday season there wouldn't be any - we were tired and just wanted to unwind - and the owner said that we wouldn't be charged for the room. But we would have happily paid more to be where we wanted. Too tired to argue we agreed. So we drove to another hotel, waited to get all the details sorted, then walked away from the walled city we wanted to be in to a small apartment block and shown to a room, en-suite, in a small holiday apartment. Not the 'small charming stylish hotel' in the historic city we booked for the night. We put down our bags and walked back to the city to eat and drink some much needed wine. It wasn't too bad we reasoned, no breakfast but we could make a cup of tea at least. We tidied the room and kitchen in the morning but just left the city early to begin the next long leg of our drive. We reasoned that if we weren't paying then we can't moan. But we did pay, the full price for the hotel room we had wanted, where we wanted it. Didn't want accommodation for free, but don't say it is, because we would have found another hotel, or at least reduce the charge a little to reflect the total inconvenience.

We have a wonderful time at this hotel , my wife Mayda love the food , we also had a great Spanish Breakfast , the owner is a lovely lady and very helpful. The town of Lerma is a very pretty Spanish town in the middle of Castilla y León province . I really recommend at least couple of days to stay here

It is always a joy to stay at the Posada de Eufrasio. A charming, warm welcome and very helpful owners. Our room had been redecorated (we hadn’t thought it needed it), and was very comfortable with attractive and interesting decor. This is a boutique hotel with interesting and quirky artefacts at every turn. There are stunning views from the lounge at the rear and we’ve never had a problem parking immediately outside the hotel. The location is excellent less than five minutes drive from the motorway and just a couple of minutes walk from the main medieval square. The breakfast is one of the best we’ve had anywhere, it’s worth going out of your way to stay here. Thank you so much to the owners for another memorable stay and we very much look forward to stopping again next week on our return journey.
