Troodos Hotel

I am so sorry that I made the trip to go to such a terrible place… food was microwaved, dirty toilets, even insects walking during our lunch…. Terrible idea to go there… when I complained they even spoke with no respect…stay away from these amateur and disrespectful guys…

Horrible The bed sheets were filthy and the room smelled like rotten mice We went for breakfast and coffee and the staff was very rude and asked us that we have to tip although we didn't have to. I would never recommend anyone to go there my children got both sick the next day and when we called them they said that they don't care and it's not their fault

The rooms are very old, the elevator is so tiny and old , I wasn’t sure if it was safe, the rooms has heating but you can adjust it is the same heat for all the hotel and they have it so high that becomes like a sauna, the food was horrible and at the bar and at the restaurant we didn’t manage to eat nothing from the buffet not even the salads and we had to pay extra for a burger and pasta with chicken but those were expensive and we didn’t ate them as well the chips with the burger was brownish but uncooked because of the so many times that the oil was used . I can understand that no one would like to work up there because is far away that’s why they bring staff from Philippines, Nebal ,Pakistan and other countries but there unprofessional and they don’t pay any attention to the quality. I will definitely not come back again

The only thing worth it is the location. Rooms lousy broken furniture a very bad smell of sewage in the room and the corridors. The heating in the rooms during the night is turned off. With temperatures of 0 degrees Celsius outside and no heating inside, you realize what is happening. Very bad experience. I don't recommend it to anyone. We went for 2 days and left just after dawn.

I stayed here with work for 4 or 5 nights in October. id driven past the hotel while working up in the mountains on previous occasions and always thought it looked nice and when the opportunity to stay here presemted its self I would give it a go. When the work had to extend I couldnt wait to leave and stay somewhere else. The main issue is the staff. Its almost asif you're an inconvenience sometimes.... the chap I assume is the owner acts asif youre lucky to be staying in his hotel and he will deal with you when he deems appropriate. Worst of all was walking back to my room and having to witness one of the cleaners (who was Sri Lankan or indian) being berrated and insulted for some minor infringement or other. The cleaning staff appear quite badly treated. The rooms are basic, the view is absolutley brilliant and a redeeming feature of the hotel - sitting gazing out over the mountains is a glorious experience. Wifi is abysmal.... hardly works. This was possibly my main issue - free wifi is promised - when you comment it doesnt work you are offered premium wifi at a cost. So there isnt free wifi at all. Breakfast was passable, not quite as grim as some have mentioned, but nothing special. The breakfast staff, although their English was limited they were friendly and helpful. The job I was working on was extended, the easy thing was to extend my stay, but I chose to pack up and move, mainsly so I could get wifi, but also beacuse the staff were, in general, far from welcoming.

Room ok. Staff mostly not interested. Food, not great, wine was good. As for breakfast, absolutely disgusting offering. Never seen beans look so grim. Won't be back. Nobody cares about this place any more. Used to be lovely

Perfect location, very domestic atmosphere, tasty food and great stuff, special waiter from asia , so gentle and courteus 🤩. We strongly recommed this lovely old fashion hotel on the top of beautiful Cyprus!

Not even sure where to start … The pictures advertising the hotel are about 10 years old, there is no pool table the “spa” needs 3 days notice to even use the jacuzzi and I’m not sure the staff know the time of day let alone what it going on or what guests can be offered. Don’t bother staying B&B/HB or FB the menu is so limited you could just about try something different each night - but if you are a fussy eater or have diet needs you have zero hope in having dinner included in the price. Breakfast - there is a range of food, all cold even what should be hot as service buffet style and what they use to store the food doesn’t keep anything warm. Dinner - half the staff don’t know what is going on, we were given the wrong menus told the restaurant would open and it never did and then when they bring the food out they kind of chuck it in front of whoever and leave you to sort it out. Food - is actually very tasty! I think we had the best steak we have ever eaten here and all the other meals I couldn’t fault. We just had to decide to pay off the main menu for certain things so we could have a variety!.. it is all cooked fresh as my other half is a fussy eater and he was able to take out parts of the meal he didn’t like - so good over all I can’t fault at all. Rooms - not the cleanest and the bath takes an hour to fill. Also had to stand with the kettle to boil it because of where the plug is. Beds are okay but we paid for a double and the twin beds separate slowly through the night! If it wasn’t for one waiter we were ready to leave and find somewhere else to stay but he saved the stay by actually knowing how to speak to people! Don’t expect quick service but if happy to speak 3/4hours in the restaurant this is the place to be! We still have 4 nights to go so wish us luck!
