Ottimo albergo in centro a Urbino. Personale cortese e professionale

Location in the truest sense of the word “top” – uphill and just below the fortress. In the middle of the historical city and only steps away from pretty much all the sights and places you want to visit. The view from the room picture-book pretty, the room itself spacious and nicely furnished. All the personnel - without an exception - professional, very friendly and always helpful – and the owner Giulio Lonzi repeatedly went over and above the call of duty. He gave helpful advice on parking - literally impossible inside the city walls, but with a weekly “minipass” for the multi-storey car park reasonably priced and so convenient. He even called us, when he thought we were a bit late in arriving, to check if we were ok, then directed us to the right ticket office and arranged for a taxi to pick us up (even though you can get a short-term permit to take your car to the hotel and back to drop your luggage, you really don’t want to tackle those steep narrow streets, believe me). When my wife sprained her ankle while on a day trip, he directed us to the nearest emergency room and picked us up later himself, when we were stranded without a taxi in sight and her totally incapable of more than hopping on one leg. He helped me to drag/carry her up the last few metres from his car to the hotel and up to the room and … believe it or not, he managed to conjure up a pair of crutches for her before we had even started to wonder if and where we could get some. He then provided us with addresses of restaurants that would deliver meals to the hotel. The man repeatedly solved our problems, before we even realized we had one. He finally spent ages to find a wonderful restaurant for my birthday dinner – on a Sunday in October at the nearby Adriatic coast when the season there had practically ended and most restaurants were closed … To put it in a nutshell – staying in the Raffaello is like staying with a friend … a good friend! Thank you Giulio! We’ll be back!

An overpriced but conveniently located place to stay about 5 minutes from the main parking lot at the shopping center. (Only 10 euro a day for parking.) Dingy, dark and cramped, with sketchy Wi-Fi and AC. The breakfast was truly the most horrible meal I had in Italy.

Great service including communications about storage of my bicycle and directions to the hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Aircon worked well. Showerhead needs replacing as more water came out of the fittings than out of the nozzle (with a lot going on the floor of the bathroom). Would definitely stay here again.

Urbino è piena di salite e discese ma grazie alla centralità della struttura questa fatica è stata un po' ridotta. L'hotel pulito, centralissimo vicino alla casa di Raffaello. La vista dalla ns stanza sui tetti di Urbino, impagabile vale il costo della camera. Colazione modesta. Per chi nn è tecnologico il check in prevede l'utilizzo del Totem per entrare.

L'hotel si trova nel centro storico di Urbino quindi molto comodo per la visita della città. Le camere sono valide con un comodo bagno. La colazione è nella media con un personale molto disponibile. Unico possibile neo è costituito dal fatto che non sempre la hall è presidiata e l'accettazione si deve fare comunque dall'esterno con un totem previsto di scanner.

Si dice che il buongiorno si vede dal mattino e quello dell’hotel Raffaello di Urbino è veramente pessimo! Arrivati verso le 20.30 di sera siamo stati accolti dal proprietario che ci ha chiesto, immediatamente, il saldo dell’intero importo del soggiorno ancora prima di darci le chiavi della camera. Forse per timore che, una volta vista la sistemazione, uno fuggisse a gambe levate! Aperta la porta, infatti, si viene assaliti dalla tristezza di una stanza che non ha nulla di accogliente. Arredata con mobili vecchi e di scarsa fattura, con carta da parati a fiori anni ‘70, la stanza come tutto l’albergo non è mai stata oggetto di migliorie e manutenzione. I termosifoni, pur presenti, sono stati sostituiti da condizionatori a pompa di calore per non dover rifare gli impianti, l’armadio è piccolo come la tv (grande quanto un monitor pc) che non si può vedere dal letto ma solo da vicino. La stanza, inoltre, è dotata di telefono Sirio anni 90, servo muto per gli abiti, un vero e proprio reperto anni 60! Il bagno non è riscaldato, l’acqua è sempre tiepida, gli asciugamani, anch’essi datati, non sono soffici ma di un cotone rigido, e le porte scrostate. Il “palmares”, però tocca, al wc che non è ricoperto da una normale tavoletta ma da una di dimensioni più piccole rispetto al vaso che sporge ampiamente. Ho segnalato al proprietario la problematica ma lui è caduto dalle nuvole dicendomi che nessuno si era mai lamentato. L’atmosfera è pesante, le luci fioche, i corridoi rivestiti di marmo sono lugubri e spenti. Il risparmio è palpabile ovunque: dalle luci del corridoio, con accensione con interruttore, alla reception inesistente. Avevamo prenotato perché aveva la disponibilità delle 4 stanze di cui avevamo bisogno (ovviamente poi ho capito perché) a cavallo del Capodanno e nella fretta, dovuta al timore di non trovare posto, non abbiamo letto le numerose recensioni negative che riempiono il web. Un albergo con una posizione così centrale potrebbe diventare uno splendido boutique hotel invece è un tre stelle che ne vale due ma ha la pretesa di chiedere ben 130 euro a notte per pernottamento e colazione. Un costo eccessivo alla luce della decadenza interna e degli arredi. Pulizia passabile. Esperienza negativa, da dimenticare!

Hotel situato in centro ad Urbino, comodo per visitare la città. Non si può arrivare in auto, quindi attenzione al bagaglio, portate lo stretto necessario. Pulito, adeguato per passarci la notte. Il personale però indisponente e un tantino scortese.
