Hotel Austral Ushuaia

Hotel Austral is such a charming accommodation in the heart of Ushuaia, Argentina! This is a small hotel with excellent Argentinian hospitality and 5⭐ service. The location is great... just one block up from the main street, San Martin, where the shops, restaurants and museums are. It is also within walking distance to the port where you can take boat cruises to the Penguin Island on the Beagle Channel and where cruise ships to the Antarctica are docked. Taxi to the Martial Glacier costs about ARS1500 (USD5) one way and is about 15 to 20 minutes away from the hotel. The staff are all pleasant and helpful. Reception staff are english speaking. Special thanks to Araceli for all the food and tour suggestions. My room is spacious, bright, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. I love the small dainty accents in the room. The bed and pillows are so soft and comfortable. I can say I had the best sleep in my whole 12 days in Argentina in Hotel Austral! Breakfast is basic but tasty and filling. Ham, cheese slices, fruits, sandwiches, croissants and other breads are not displayed but can be ordered at the breakfast counter. I just hope they can adjust the breakfast time to earlier than 7:30am because some tours pick up as early as 7am. Hotel also sells souvenir items at cheaper prices compared to shops on San Martin Street. I got myself some cute ref magnets. Thank you for a wonderful first time in Ushuaia! Perfect place to stay in Ushuaia. Close to everything-restaurants, groceries, laundry and shopping. Reservation was easy, excellent communicatio from hotel and easy check-in and check-out process. Rooms have basic accomodations. Nothing fancy but it isalways the staff and management that makes the difference. Eceryone was helpful, accomodating and friendly. Highly recommended hotel in Ushuaia.

Hotel is located approximately 10 minute walk from main street with restaurants and attractions. Hotel rooms are basic clean rooms. Continental breakfast is served every morning in lounge. There isn't any activities or bars in the hotel and it's a pretty quiet place. Staff are helpful.

Hotel muito bem localizado, no centrinho da cidade. Bem simples e o café da manhã deixa a desejar. O quarto é bom, com bom aquecimento. Um pouco caro para o que oferece, mas não há muitas opções em Ushuaia. Pela localização, acaba sendo uma boa opção.

Hotel em localização excelente perto da rua principal, porém numa rua mais tranquila. Quarto muito limpo e confortável, banheiro e chuveiro bons. Cama extremamente confortável! Os donos são simpáticos e atenciosos. Café da manhã bom. Recomendo!

Hotel simples com café da manhã mais simples ainda. Quartos bons de tamanho agradável Banheiro com cortina (não tem blindex) Aquecimento no quarto e no banheiro A regra para limpeza do quarto precisa ser revista (a limpeza só é realizada se você colocar uma placa para fora pedindo) Café da manhã muito simples, os pães, croissants e sanduíches tem de ser pedidos individualmente. Não tem frutas Acesso ao hotel é por meio de uma ladeira muito íngreme e cansativa de subir.

Buena opción para unos días en ushuaia. Confortable y calentito. El desayuno no tiene mucha variedad pero esta bien. Es atendido por sus dueños que son un encanto. Como sugerencia (no critica) una caldera eléctrica en las habitaciones sería muy bueno para tomar algo caliente sin salir luego de un largo día de trekking o navegación. Muy bien ubicado
