Casa Shelly Hospedería

luckily, we were the only guests staying at Casa Shelly when we were recently there...it felt like living in shangri-la....Chris can't do enough for you...he is the best host we have ever dealt with....he even carried our suitcases up to our room and put them on "2" different luggage racks... the house and all of the rooms are beautiful.... water and chocolate in your room every day... an entire kitchen for guest to use...muffins and the best cookies are always out along with fresh fruit....parking is free in the town lot...easy uphill walk to the inn...Vejer is a dream town and Casa Shelly is wonderful..... thanks again...Marlene and Steve

We visited casa Shelly for one night while traveling to visit vejer and conil. We were in the junior suite and our friends were in the double room with balcony. Both rooms were lovely, a good size very nice bathrooms and very clean and modern. The beds were really comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. Our room didn’t have a balcony but looked over the internal courtyard, our friends room had a lovely large balcony, there’s a living wall running up the central courtyard which had lots of sparrows nesting in it. I liked this but it was quite noisy in the morning if you’re a light sleeper. The shared areas here are very nice, there’s a large fully equipped kitchen and living room area. There were always biscuits and muffins available in the kitchen and extra coffee pods and tea bags in case you ran out. This is also next to the hammam, which we took advantage of during our stay, we got a discount too because we were staying in casa Shelly. When arriving don’t drive to the hotel, the streets are quite narrow, but there are drop off points on the main road close. I’d recomendable dropping passengers at the closest point on the main road and parking in one of the car parks. The multi storey is very close, but very expensive. Great hotel, good value, would recommend and return.

Casa Shelley Hospedaria is a small boutique hotel, located at the canter of Vejer, a small charming white village on a hill. You are unlikely to find a better located, cleaner or more comfortable place a short walk from restaurants and sights. The service was excellent and overall a great experience. Recommended.

We stayed 3 nights in this wonderful home, and as we entered we immediately felt relaxed. Beautifully decorated, clean, modern yet traditional, greatly positioned within the charming town of Vejer. The host Chris has been much helpful in providing us with great tips for the town and the greater area and also helped out as we forgot something in the room. I totally recommend it to anyone who wishes a great place to stay and relax following the visit of the surroundings during the day.

Great location, wonderful guesthouse, beautifully decorated and very quiet and clean. We immediately got into a very relaxed holiday feeling. Also, we received great restaurant recommendations and general tips about the region from Chris, who is the very nice owner of the place.

Casa Shelly is a chic, stylish and wonderful place to stay. The decor is superb, adding to the relaxation of the stay. The minute you open the ancient wooden door you enter a secluded and peaceful home. Vejer itself is a delight. The winding cobbled streets, the laid back bars and restaurants make for a holiday that is so far from the usual (lacking in authenticity) resorts. Thank you Vejer. What makes Casa Shelly though is the thorough decency and genuineness of Chris the host/owner. He cannot do enough to make your stay the best that it can possibly be. He is kind and friendly. We cannot recommend Casa Shelley enough…. In fact, we are booking for an October break already!!

We can’t recommend this place enough. Perfectly positioned. Spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated. A peaceful haven in a gorgeous white hill top village. Car parking available on request - Chris met us at the entrance and told us everything we needed to know. Room 7 has a lovely terrace with a view of the church bell tower ( it doesn’t disturb your sleep!) Fantastic communal kitchen area with coffee, tea, muffins and fruit . There is seating here and also a peaceful outdoor courtyard.

Casa Shelly is a good value in the middle of a beautiful village with shops and restaurants nearby. Vejer de la Frontera is a good location to base from as there are interesting and fun things to do in all directions. Historical sites, hiking, beaches, horses, hilltop villages just to name a few. Chris was very accommodating from our first contact. We had a car and he suggested a parking garage at the base of the village and he met us there for a smooth check in process. You do have to walk uphill to the hotel (this is a hilltop village after all!) so instead of lugging our suitcases up the hill we put 4 nights worth of clothes in our little daypacks we always bring and that worked up perfectly! The hotel is pristine and tastefully decorated. The beds and pillows very comfortable. There is a shared kitchen that they keep coffee, tea, cookies and muffins available at all hours. Our room #7 has a lovely patio and is spacious. This is one of the best stays we've ever had. Don't hesitate to book this property!
