Torre de Gomariz Wine & Spa Hotel

The place is amazing so is the stuff, loved it, and already want to came back!

Surrounded by excellent friendliness and vineyards, we enjoyed a weekend at the hotel. Very comfortable rooms, impeccable service, fantastic SPA and restaurant, breakfast was gorgeous. We had planned to go to Braga but in the end we didn't want to leave the Hotel...

Excellent hotel with nice spa and pool. Rooms are modern, super clean and well-decorated. Hotel is set in the midst of its own vineyard. Their wines are Vinho Verdes which are very good and fairly priced. The restaurant offered good meals and the breakfast was very good.

We spent three nights at Torre de Gomariz for some rest and relaxation after hiking a portion of the Camino Portuguese, and it was a great choice. Room was very spacious with a nice patio and huge bathroom. Enjoyed a view of the pool and the vineyards in the distance. Bed was very comfortable and it was nice having A/C for our stay. Only complaint about the room was a weird door at the back of the walk in closet that wasn't soundproofed, so often you could hear your neighbors or people walking by. Didn't want to take the car out so we ate all our meals at the property. Breakfast was excellent with both a cold buffet and choice of hot entrees - really enjoyed the pancakes with Nutella. Dinner was on the second floor of the Tower, with a good mix of Portuguese and other offerings. Servings were pretty huge, so we left full every night. It did get loud one evening as there was a tour group taking up most of the restaurant, but fortunately they went to bed earlier than us so it calmed down by dessert. Also did a wine tasting one afternoon, fun to try the various wines and really enjoyed the slight carbonization they use in the white wines. Very surprised when they gifted us with three bottles upon check-out from the hotel, and they came in handy as we were not a huge fan of the wines in Douro or Braga. The spa and pool area are a great offering, especially on rainy days when the outdoor pool isn't possible. We used the steam room and sauna every day of our stay, highly recommend reserving a visit. I also got an excellent massage on the last day of our stay as I was still a bit sore from hiking. Only other issue with our stay was an ill-timed fire alarm at 1:30 in the morning, which took a little time to shut off as most of the staff was still working a wedding. Didn't have a problem falling back to sleep, and the staff nicely gave up 15% off our spending for the inconvenience. Wasn't expecting that, and it was much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Portugal again.

This is a little piece of heaven. We stayed in the tower and it was magical. It dates back for centuries and yet is fully modern. We had a massage at spa and it was pure bliss after the hills of Lisbon and Porto. The staff were truly incredible s was the food!

We had a very good time at this charming and relaxing hotel. The hotel is located in a calm rural area of northern Portugal. The staff is young and friendly. We loved the architecture, the outdoor pool area and the SPA.

A beautiful setting for a hotel. The grounds are gorgeous. The rooms are very modern and clean with a bath and shower. Bed lwas very comfortable. There is a wonderful infinity pool that is heated. Also I visited the spa which had a lovely jacuzzi, steam room and sauna and heated indoor pool. We dined in the restaurant and the menu was diverse and the food was excellent. The staff are exceptionally friendly in this resort and they could not have been more helpful. It was my birthday during the trip and on checkout they gifted me some wine which was so generous. I very much appreciated this gesture. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. . We will definitely return.
