We recently stayed at Irnaqana Villa by GenuineHost in the Ubud and were thoroughly impressed by the architectural design and overall experience. This is not just another new villa (open late 2025), it’s a beautifully conceived private sanctuary where modern elegance meets natural tropical living in perfect harmony. Irnaqana consists of only four villas, each one a completely separate building. This gives every guest total privacy and the feeling of having your own exclusive retreat, which is rare and highly appreciated. The First Impression: A Brilliant Design Moment. From the moment you arrive, the entrance sets the tone. The elegantly designed door is a masterstroke, as it opens, it dramatically reveals the entire private swimming pool in one breathtaking view. It’s cinematic and instantly relaxing. No obstructed sightlines, just pool and lush greenery waiting for you. This clever architectural choice makes the outdoor space feel like an extension of the living area and creates that “wow” factor right away. Lush Garden & Natural Surroundings and water flow sound. The garden is lush and thoughtfully planted with a wonderful variety of tropical plants that feel completely natural and established. It’s not overly manicured, instead, it blends beautifully with the surrounding rice fields and countryside, giving a genuine sense of being immersed in Bali’s nature. Morning light filtering through the leaves, birdsong, and the gentle breeze made our mornings on the terrace truly special. Spacious Interior with Impressive High Ceilings Inside, the villa shines with its generous proportions and smart layout. The ceilings are exceptionally high — at least 5–6 meters — which not only makes the space feel incredibly airy and luxurious but also keeps the villa naturally cooler throughout the day. This is a game-changer in Bali’s climate. The unit is cleverly split into two distinct yet connected zones: • On the left side you have the dining and TV lounge area — perfect for relaxed meals or evening entertainment at the sunken seating. • On the right side is the bedroom with a bathtub and bathroom wing. Both sides offer ample space, so nothing feels cramped. The design elegantly balances modern lines, high-quality materials, and natural elements, clean aesthetics paired with warm tones and textures that nod to Balinese tradition without feeling clichéd. Every piece of furniture, lighting, and finishing feels carefully chosen and of premium quality. Bedroom & Bathroom Comfort The bed is enormous and one of the most comfortable we’ve experienced in Bali. After long days of exploring Ubud or playing sports, sinking into it was pure bliss — our backs were very thankful! The bedroom feels spacious and peaceful with excellent blackout options. The bathroom is equally impressive — spotlessly clean, with strong water pressure in the shower, fresh towels daily, and good-quality toiletries. Everything felt hygienic and well-maintained. The air conditioning is powerful and gets deliciously cold although might needs 1-2 minutes, which was welcome after hot days. Combined with the high ceilings and natural ventilation, the villa stayed comfortable at all times. Location Perks. While the villa itself is tucked away in a quiet, green setting ideal for relaxation, the surrounding area is surprisingly convenient. There’s a fantastic variety of eateries within a short distance — from authentic local warungs serving delicious Balinese food to excellent international restaurants. Final Thoughts Irnaqana Villa excels in thoughtful, high-quality design that prioritizes space, light, views, and privacy. It successfully delivers both aesthetic beauty and genuine comfort. Personnel et service : Nous avons ressenti une réelle volonté de rendre notre séjour aussi agréable que possible. Toutes nos demandes (par exemple, un oreiller supplémentaire ou un départ tardif) ont été satisfaites rapidement et avec le sourire. Cette attention particulière est vraiment appréciable. La boisson de bienvenue à notre arrivée était une petite attention très appréciable après un long voyage. Les produits de toilette dans la salle de bain étaient de grande qualité (des distributeurs pratiques et non des flacons à usage unique). Des parapluies étaient disponibles à la réception en cas de pluie. L'atmosphère était calme et paisible, même lorsque l'hôtel affichait complet. Je tiens également à souligner la présence d'une cuisine commune à disposition des clients – un atout majeur. Propre, moderne et bien équipée (réfrigérateur, plaques de cuisson, micro-ondes et tous les ustensiles nécessaires), elle nous permettait de nous préparer un thé ou un dîner léger à tout moment, ce qui était très pratique pour les voyageurs indépendants et nous a permis de faire des économies. Merci pour cet équipement très utile ! Les chambres étaient propres, l'emplacement idéal et le jardin magnifiquement paysagé. La piscine était propre et nettoyée deux fois par jour.

Cet avis comporte quelques points positifs à ne pas négliger, mais ce sont les points négatifs qui m'ont dissuadé de retourner à la Villa Jerami. Lorsque le taxi a tourné dans la rue menant à la Villa, j'ai eu l'impression d'arriver dans un ghetto. Un quartier très abandonné qui ressemble à une ruelle derrière des commerces, avec beaucoup de déchets entrant et sortant des poubelles sur les côtés de la route. J'étais assez inquiet à l'idée de séjourner à la Villa Jerami. L'entrée à la réception ne m'a pas donné l'espoir d'un excellent séjour dans ces villas, car l'accueil est très basique et n'offre pas une expérience positive ni accueillante. J'ai dû signer un document m'autorisant à payer pour tout dommage intentionnel ou non à la propriété, puis on m'a averti que mon sac pouvait être arraché et que je devais le garder précieusement, ce qui m'a fait soupçonner que la villa se trouvait dans un quartier dangereux. Mes espoirs de profiter pleinement de ces villas se sont alors évanouis. On nous a ensuite accompagnés à notre villa pour une visite. Une fois le portail déverrouillé, j'ai été agréablement surpris par une petite piscine et une cuisine extérieure avec coin repas et salon, très agréables au premier abord. En ouvrant la villa et en entrant, l'atmosphère était plutôt agréable, même si j'ai senti une légère odeur d'humidité. En entrant dans la salle de bain, ma déception est revenue : elle était très vieillotte, avec des taches et des traces de moisissure. La salle de bain est ma priorité absolue et j'avais l'impression qu'elle n'était pas propre à cause de son aspect. L'abattant des toilettes était bancal et l'eau du lavabo et de la douche ne s'écoulait pas correctement, mais après un signalement, le problème a été rapidement résolu. Nous sommes allés au restaurant pour voir si nous pouvions manger quelque chose, car il était tard. Nous avons vite changé d'avis, car il semblait que le personnel avait plié bagage et était dérangé. Le lendemain matin, nous sommes allés prendre le petit-déjeuner, inclus tous les jours. On nous a remis une feuille de papier avec la liste des plats disponibles et nous avons pu choisir un plat par rangée. Parmi les plats proposés, on trouvait une omelette, des œufs ou des röstis de pommes de terre. Si vous vouliez du bacon, vous ne pouviez le choisir qu'avec cinq plats spécifiques (donc, si j'avais voulu un röstis de pommes de terre et du bacon, ce n'était pas autorisé). Nous n'avons pris le petit-déjeuner qu'une fois et ne l'avons pas apprécié, alors nous ne sommes pas retournés au restaurant. Les points positifs de la Villa Jerami sont le nettoyage quotidien et la fourniture de draps et de serviettes propres. Les chambres sont propres et accueillantes. La piscine et l'espace extérieur sont propres et bien entretenus. Tout le personnel est sympathique, mais le meilleur membre du personnel de ce complexe est Oka. Il était incroyable. Il a fait tout son possible pour rendre notre séjour inoubliable, jusqu'à nous permettre de prendre une douche alors que notre départ était à midi, alors que notre vol était à 23 h. Si la façade du complexe n'était pas si mal située et si les chambres, et surtout les salles de bain, avaient été légèrement rénovées, ce serait un endroit formidable où séjourner.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à la villa Manca à Canggu lors de notre séjour de 5 nuits en septembre 2023. Voici quelques points positifs et négatifs de notre expérience. Positif: - Personnel jeune et sympathique - Endroit calme à l'écart de la route principale - Lit super confortable (côté ferme) et très très bon sommeil - Très beau et bon concept de villa, excellent éclairage dans la chambre - Bonne télévision avec tous les principaux services de streaming - Facile et accessible à pied pour accéder aux rues principales Négatif: - Le personnel était attentif mais parfois il n'y avait personne à la réception - Nous avons constaté quelques poussières de bois autour de la villa (éventuelles fientes de termites) - L'espace douche n'est pas des plus propres. Taches jaunes sur les murs de la douche et carrelage bancal - La salle de bain est semi-extérieure donc naturellement, elle est sujette aux fourmis et aux moustiques - La piscine peut être plus propre - Dans le coin cuisine, la planche à découper aurait vraiment besoin d'être propre (elle avait des taches rouges partout) - Pas assez de couverts fournis, j'ai dû en demander plus - Serviettes tachées et odeur de fumée de cigarette (pendant 2 jours, l'hôtel a manqué de serviettes et de serviettes en raison d'un retard dans la lessive, a proposé des serviettes de piscine à la place) - Les portes coulissantes principales sont usées et doivent être réparées - Dans l'ensemble, il faut plus d'attention aux détails et à l'entretien :)

Our entire experience at this villa was absolutely excellent. Probably the best stay we’ve ever had in Bali. The villa itself is very clean and has everything you need. What I especially appreciated is that the team prepared almost everything we requested in advance for our child - a high chair, a baby cot, and other small things we needed while traveling with a toddler. It was thoughtful, genuinely helpful, and made our stay much easier. The location is also truly great. It’s max a 5-minute walk to the beach, which made it easy to go every day. There are also several convenience stores nearby, even closer than the beach (around 3mins by walking), so it’s easy to grab anything you might need. The staff is probably the best part of the entire villa! Everyone is incredibly friendly, warm, and always ready to help with anything. Our breakfast was included for 4 ppl, and every day we needed one breakfast adjusted to be suitable for our child. Even though it wasn’t on the menu, they organized it for us daily - huge thanks for that! Another thing that impressed us: we arrived around 8–9 AM, but check-in officially starts at 1 PM. After a long flight with a small child, we really needed somewhere to wait comfortably and they have a dedicated waiting room for this. It’s not just a basic room; it’s actually very good, with a bed, a toilet, and everything a family with a child might need. It helped us a lot! The same happened on departure day: checkout was at 12 PM and our flight was at 6 PM, and they let us use that room again for free. We’re very grateful for that! The chef (unfortunately I didn’t meet him personally) cooks really delicious food both for adults and for kids. The meals were so good that most of the time we ordered food directly from the villa instead of eating elsewhere. There’s enough variety to match different tastes, and you can easily rely on the villa’s food throughout your stay. I also saw some older reviews mentioning mosquitoes. I don’t know what it was like before, but during our stay they brought mosquito repellent solutions every single day without exception and it really worked. We never had any mosquito issues at all, not even our child. If I had only two small suggestions for improvement (and they were not a problem for us at all): 1 - It could be nice to have communication via WhatsApp. Of course you can call or walk to the front desk in seconds, but WhatsApp would be more convenient for some guests. 2 - A couple of times we asked for the villa to be cleaned in about 30 minutes, were told yes, but the team came closer to an hour later. I assume it was because housekeeping was busy with other villas which is totally understandable but it would be helpful to know in advance if there will be a delay. This happened only twice and never became an issue for us. Overall, this villa is amazing the place is great, the people are genuinely kind, and the entire experience was the best we’ve had in Bali. When we come back, we’ll be happy to stay here again.

Hideaway Village Villa truly lives up to its name, offering a peaceful and secluded stay surrounded by nature. The hospitality was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and spoke English very well. The service throughout our stay was impressive, and the rooms were comfortable and decent. One downside of the villa’s open-air, forest setting was the presence of quite a few bugs. The outdoor couches and floors were often dusty, with dirt and tree sap from falling flowers. The property is also not ideal for elderly guests or those with mobility issues, as the kitchen and pool are located downstairs. Additionally, it is not within walking distance of the town centre, and there are no nearby shops. Overall, despite these limitations, we had a good and relaxing stay.

J'ai séjourné dans cet hôtel pendant trois jours lors d'un voyage à Bali. L'environnement est très bon et le service est vraiment difficile à dire. Je dois partir pour l'hôtel Lovina à 2 heures du matin. petit-déjeuner pour nous à l'avance et l'a laissé à la réception. La dame était prévenante et l'un de nous avait un anniversaire sur son passeport. Lorsque nous avons pris le petit-déjeuner au restaurant le matin, plusieurs personnes sont venues nous voir avec des gâteaux et ont chanté. joyeux anniversaire. Nous ne savions même pas qu'ils étaient super attentionnés. En plus, il y a des restaurants qui ne sont pas chers et assez bon marché. J'aime beaucoup cet hôtel du fond du cœur. louange👍

We love heritage buildings and vintage style, so these little bungalows were perfect for us. They were a little walk away from the reception (no buggy!) which meant so peaceful and quiet! Gorgeous wooden bedroom and bathroom. The shower is a little outdated and when I first turned it on there was a sulphuric smell which was a bit concerning. Basically, if you like rustic, no frills, no extra service etc then these are a lovely cute experience. However, if you want luxury and are squeamish about old style open homes, this isn't for you. Breakfast was very basic so we generally ate out. The main receptionist was a lovely gentlemen, a very quick registration and we were in! Rooms were clean and nice and dark for a cosy sleep at night.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were traveling as two couples and honestly did not expect to find such a beautiful and peaceful place away from the busy tourist routes. The hotel is charming, very well maintained, and has a special atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed from the first moment. It is also conveniently located close to one of Bali’s famous attractions, Lohongan Sweet, which was a wonderful bonus for us. The owner is absolutely wonderful — incredibly welcoming and attentive. His hospitality made us feel at home and even made us wish to extend our vacation and stay here longer. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay. I spent 5 nights at Kose Villas Ubud, and this is one of those places where the setting truly shapes half of the experience. Location & vibe Kose Villas sits right in the middle of rice fields—quiet, lush, and instantly calming. It feels like Ubud suddenly switches to “slow living” mode. The views are unquestionable: absolutely beautiful. If you’re coming for serenity and scenery, this is exactly why you’d stay here. Important note about the access road One thing to keep in mind: getting to the villas involves walking/driving through the rice fields on a narrow path, with a small stream/irrigation canal running alongside. If you’re not a confident rider/driver (especially on a scooter), or if walking is difficult for you, this could be a challenge—particularly in the evening or if you’re carrying heavy luggage. The staff offer a motorbike transfer to and from the main road. I personally walked every time, and it took about 5–7 minutes at a relaxed pace. It’s a lovely walk—just important to know the setup in advance. The room: airy, high ceilings & a glass wall My standard villa felt genuinely nice: high ceilings, lots of space, and one full glass wall that makes the room feel even more open. I had a unit with a garden view and a small kitchen. I didn’t cook at all, but having a fridge was truly convenient (water, fruit, snacks—anything you want to keep for the next morning). There’s also a kettle, but oddly the only option provided was instant coffee sachets—no tea (a small detail, but in Ubud it feels like tea should be a given). Bathroom & shower The bathroom and shower are standard and fine. The only thing I noticed: the “hot” water felt slightly lukewarm, even at the maximum setting. It didn’t bother me—since the weather was hot, a cooler shower actually felt refreshing. But if you love a truly hot shower, it’s something to note (and perhaps for the hotel to check). What disappointed me A few things kept this from feeling like a fully polished villa stay: • No hair dryer—at all. I asked at reception, and it turns out the hotel simply doesn’t have hair dryers. For this type of stay, that’s a surprising and inconvenient omission. • Not enough lighting in the evening. During the day it’s bright and beautiful, but once the sun sets the room feels quite dim—there aren’t enough lamps for a comfortable evening (reading, working, getting ready). • “Shared” pool, but not really. I was a bit confused to learn the shared pool isn’t shared across the whole property, but only for two units (1 and 2). The place also seemed quite empty during my stay, yet I still wasn’t offered access to the pool. Not a huge deal, but it did feel like a service/communication gap. Overall Overall, I left with a positive impression, mostly thanks to the location: rice fields, quiet, gorgeous views, and a real sense of privacy. It’s a great place for a reset—slow mornings, nature all around, and that “Ubud green” backdrop. That said, if the hotel wants to consistently earn a higher rating, it should improve a few basics: provide hair dryers, add better lighting, communicate more clearly about the pool, and possibly check the water temperature.
