Hôtels proches de Basilica of St. Mary of the Sea, Vrsar

This was my 2nd visit to the hotel. First time was in September and this time peak August. The contrast between the 2 months was shocking. I’ll start with the good. Rooms all have sea views and are spotlessly clean. Comfy beds and perfectly adequate bathroom. Pool area is really nice and the tiered landscaping makes good use of the space. Plenty of sun beds. Snack bar has amazing pizza big enough to share and servers super friendly there. The pebble beach is pretty and I like the rocky sunbathing platform that spans the length of the resort. The sea is clean and clear. Buffet restaurant always had something for all 7 of our party even the most fussy, The not so good. TUI flight landed a.m and got to hotel around 11:30. At first was told rather briskly to basically go away and come back at 3! I had to ask for towels so we could at least relax by the pool. Towels can be changed every 3 days with tokens given at check in. I appreciate that the rooms may not have been ready but I’ve never actually been turned away. Not the best start. Also the service in the restaurant was hit and miss. I think that water should at least be complimentary with dinner. The bad. The hotel guests are 90% German/Austrian so don’t expect any English speaking entertainment. Also bear in mind that there are hundreds of toddlers running around the pool and restaurant areas and these are barely supervised by their parents resulting in constantly being splashed and lots of little hands in the buffet! If you haven’t got kids go outside of school holidays. Air con in rooms and restaurant was totally inadequate. It was 32° most days and the restaurant at dinner time was stifling. They need fans desperately. Parking in the hotel is a total nightmare. Nowhere near enough spaces for rooms so ended up parking outside. Lastly and most disappointing….24€ per day for 2 sun beds and a parasol is quite frankly disgusting. Would cost a family of four 48€ a day!?!? Totally out of order.

On es parti visite cet hotel , malgre quelque avis negatif nous l avons teste et pas decu du tout magnifique hotel , la nourriture est tres copieuse ainsi que le petit dejeuner , le all in vait vraiment le coup ... question boisson ces vrai que les cocktail sont un peu moins reussi car les verre sont chaud dans le bas du verre quand on nous sert mais le reste tres bien , nous avons trouver le centre un peu cher meme enormement cher ..... la croisiere en bateau plus le barbecue etait superbe ainsi que la visite a vsar mais ces vrai que on nous laisse pas le temps de regarder que on es deja sur nous pour acheter ces un peu ennuyant et il sont un peu froid je trouve .. et niveau transat les gens se rue dessus des 6h30 du matin il faut se lever tot pour avoir une bonne place .... a la reception tres bon acceuil d une dame qui parlais un peu francais et qui nous a bien aider durant notre sejour car jet air ces zero .... sinon la plupart ces allement , neerlandais mais on sais ce debrouiller , les chambres impeccable changement des draps tout les jours , lit fait c etait vraiment top ... je recommande vraimenr cet hotel que du positif .

Third time at this hotel and we still LOVE it!!! It's designed for young families, to perfection. It's not cheap, but what you get are gorgeous rooms, top class service, amazing food (not repetitive, even over 2 weeks). And a kids club that is out of thir world. It's like all the fun bits of school in a safe and secure environment with highly qualified staff. We caught the road train into the town, which is also beautiful. We also did a few other activities, olive oli tasting at Cadenela and the medieval theme park, both amazing. The camp site next door has had a LOT of investment and more to come that looks very exciting. Even on a rainy day, which we had a couple in 2 weeks, there is still plenty to do. Indoor swimming is big enough to accommodate everyone. The staff and can't do enough for you, they really make this place special.
