Stopped off in The Cornishman for food after visiting Tintagel Castle. What a little gem Staff were so welcoming and super friendly. Food was amazing. First time I’ve ever been served a slice of fresh pineapple (lightly grilled) with gammon and not a ring from a tin! Steak and ale pie and the mixed grill all got great feedback from other diners whilst we were there

We live locally and had booked a table for 10 of us as we had friends visiting from up Country. It was a lovely evening so we decided to eat outside instead, they were happy to rearrange the tables outside for us. Most of us opted for different meals and can honestly say the food was delicious. Prices are about the same as most places around the area. Great friendly service too, would definitely eat here again.

We booked to eat here as it sounded nice according to reviews. We wanted a basic meal and are not usually fussy people. The place was dark and empty and we nearly walked out there and then. We should have done! We both ordered scampi and chips. To be fair, the scampi was ok, although obviously cheap quality. The chips were dreadful. Very greasy and many of mine were made with potatoes that were green and full of ‘eyes’ We ate what we could and left.

The carvery is absolute exceptional and of the highest quality. Sharon who works there is a complete asset and made me feel extraordinarily welcome. Colin, the owner, has time for everyone and runs the whole enterprise at the highest level. The building itself has no competitor locally and you feel you have stepped back in time. You are guaranteed to come away wanting to return as soon as possible.

I had the Mackerel which was so delicious, the rest of the family had cod and chips which they said was great. Atmosphere and staff were lovely. The position in Tintagel is great, we will be back next year.

The room was clean and bright, shower powerful! The food at the Inn is fabulous! Breakfast filling to set you up for visiting the N Cornish coast! Other meals are reasonably priced and good portions! The staff are fabulous. Nothing too much trouble and go out of way to ensure a good experience! Big shout to Jo who went above and beyond, makes it a "Proper Job". Thanks for a great stay!

I've been going to Tintagel for most years since 1995. The Pandemic era stopped that. But today it was great to be back in Tintagel and back at the Cornishman Inn, and how it has changed! It was great before the pandemic years, but now it is truly awesome. Thanks must go to Jo for the best breakfast the family has ever had, and that's just fact. Prior to the pandemic we'd always had breakfast at The King Arthurs Arms, but it has changed hands and a late breakfast doesn't exist any longer. So we moved on down the road to The Cornishman Inn, and now we know we should have always moved on down the road previously, just those 10 yards or so. To my mind, my 2 grandkids and my wife, the Cornishman breakfast is second to none. As of today we will be breakfasting at the Cornishman every time we're here, and a whole lot more beside. On top of that there is the amazing refurbishment, all in keeping with the original building, all work completed by Colin. Hats of to you sir. I knew the Cornishman before, and IMO it was fine, but to see it today bowled me over. The change is truly supreme. If you're visiting Tintagel and you don't partake of what the Cornishman Inn offers, you are missing out - fact.

Stayed here for two nights. Wish it had been longer. Centrally located. Ample free parking. Very friendly warm and welcoming staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The whole place was spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were very filling. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.
