We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Dragonfly Inn. The room was comfortable, bed was great and the shower was lovely. We also enjoyed the breakfast tray and had fun trying our the egg poacher (with limited success!). It made for an interesting discussion around the breakfast table with some of the other guests. A great place to stay

This is a wonderfully sympathetic restored building full of character. The relaxing grounds include many rose bushes all in bloom with fragrant blooms. The common rooms are inviting to just sit and enjoy. Our room was Rosie, one of the smaller, more modern rooms but it included a small well stocked kitchen that we used as we like to self cater. The supplied breakfast basket was a great bonus and restocked daily. The room and the house was impeccably clean and tidy and the towels were nice and fluffy. The elevated position gave us a lovely view of Launceston, from the first floor balcony.

We had one night after arrival before heading out east. Had a ground floor room at the back, which has a kitchenette and fridge. Breakfast is supplied in a basket, inc eggs, which was plenty. You could feasibly walk into town but it's a steep climb up to the hotel on the way back. There was some good historical and waking reading material. The central dining area was charming with some old furniture.

Our stay at the Dragonfly Inn was delightful! It's a beautiful, historical building, full of charm. The decor is beautiful and guests have access to the shared dining / lounge room. Each room has its own style and character. The provisions are very generous and it's clear that a lot of thought has gone into making a very pleasant experience for guests. On site parking is free. There is no reception as such, but lots of information to help you settle in and staff are contactable if needed. Some rooms are upstairs and there is no lift. I would recommend you check the room you are booking to make sure it will meet your requirements. I loved it so much I've already made another booking to return!

Dragonfly Inn is a nice concept. Restored old building, practically arranged, comfortable room, pleasant shared space. We liked the location - within walking distance of the Gorge (recommend for swimming) and the centre of the city. And it was relatively cheap. Let down a little only by the standard of the tray-in-fridge breakfast but there’s a good small supermarket to compensate just around the corner.

Stayed in the Delilah room and found it very comfortable, very clean and a great size Loved the armchairs in the corner, the complimentary cheese and crackers and the huge breakfast basket. The check in and check out instructions were simple and made the whole experience very easy and relaxed.

Loved our stay. The hosts had thought of everything and there were even some complimentary treats in the mini bar. The breakfast basket was a lovely touch and loved that you offered alternative milks. Beautiful home. So private. Would highly recommend.

The accomodation here is carefully considered and presented, and the old world charm sits beautifully with the modern inclusions. Beds, towels and rooms have a luxurious feel and the generosity of the hosts make for a very welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast trays: simple, plentiful and nicely presented are labelled and set in the downstairs common room where a meet and greet (optional) allows a great opportunity to catch up with fellow residents and exchange experiences about the best things to do and places to go. Set a little out of town in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood where other gorgeous old style homes are located was perfect for us. Communication with our hosts was a pleasant and easy experience and nothing seemed too much trouble. Very highly recommended.

This little bed and breakfast is absolutely stunning! The bathroom is very new and clean despite being in a period house, breakfast provided was delicious and abundant. Thank you for the lovely stay and I absolutely would book again if back in Launceston again.
